((OOC: *is shot by Bess for the unability to think of a name for ze RPG* ^^; I kinda have a name, Bess! It just sorta sounds retarded.... Anywho, sorry I'm starting this now....I know we were supposedly gonna go over some sorta plot development, but I COULDN'T WAIT ANY LONGER!! So, if you want me to change anything that I've started so far, or want the plot to start going in a different direction, just lemme know. I'll do my best to change my post. =3))
It was the day after graduation in the Cloud Village, and all the graduates sat patiently in the Ninja Academy, waiting to be appointed to their teams and senseis. There were a surprisingly high amount of graduates this year, and the room was slightly crowded.
Sachiko Urushiyama sat impatiently at her desk, wanting this to be over with. She had a lot of training to do if she was going to surpass her current rival, and that task wasn't going to be an easy one. She tuned out the voice of the instructor as he called out the names of other students, until she heard her own name.
"Urushiyama Sachiko." She looked up.
"Right here." she replied, raising a hand. The instructor went back to his list.
"You'll be on Team 9, with Tanaka Zinan and Noguchi Jiro." Sachiko looked over at her two new teammates and scowled. She hadn't really ever gotten along with either of them. They, however, seemed to like the idea of being on her team. This made her scowl more.
"Oh, I almost forgot...." the instructor quickly added. The three Team 9 members gave him their attention. "Your sensei will be Urushiyama Toroku."
This new information made Sachiko's jaw drop, and she fell over in her seat in astonisnment. Not only was Toroku her older brother and now sensei, but he was also her current rival. She could here him snickering from his place in the back of the room.
"It'll be nice working with you, Oni-Chan." he said jokingly. Sachiko could tell she was not going to enjoy being a genin.

Sutsu Faari, a run-away leaf village student, was travelling through the lonely, sandy desert, near the sand village. He had been travelling for weeks, following the wind in search of his enemy, Merodi Seruffu. She and Sutsu had been best friends since they were young, when one day, she betrayed him by causing a big family fight, leaving his family slain in his own home. Sutsu ran-away from school the next day to find her, knowing that she would follow the wind. With his kunai tipped whip in his right hand, and his large, eight-winged shuriken in his other, he set off on a journey to find his family's killer. What he didn't know was that he was about to get mixed up into something much bigger than what he was chasing after.
(OOC: This will fit into the story... eventually my character will meet your character... i think... if you want him to... otherwise ill change my story... -_-')

Only a few leagues away from Sutsu Faari, Kobayashi Jin and her disgruntled sensei Aikimoto Tamasine trudged through the desert of the wind country. They did not know a fellow member of the Hidden Leaf village was nearby, or maybe Jin would have been more reserved.
"Tamasine- senseeeeeiii!!!" she cried. "This sand is so gross! I feel so not ninja- ish..." Jin grumbled and sighed.
"Maybe you would feel more like a ninja if you stopped that caterwaling. Besides, you should learn to become comfortable in all enviornments if you want to be successful in your future missions." Aikimoto wiped some sweat off of his brow, hiding his discomfort in the arid land to encourage his genin.
Most genin would be excited to accompany their sensei on a B- rank mission, especially when the other two genin were left at home completing tedious D- rank missions.
"My future missions..." Jin mused. She could really care less about her future as a ninja. She really wasn't passionate about it. All she could thing about was the stinky wasteland they were in. Too hot for her to feel like using fire jutsus, and no water in sight, putting a damper on her water- based abilities.
Aikimoto touched her shoulder softly to get her attention. "Jin! We're not too fare away now from the Hidden Sand Village. Not a word from here on out. This mission is strictly for recconnisance, so we fail if we are detected..." He looked into her eyes, trying to get her to be serious. "...This is important. "
((OOC I've got a plan to tie in, too. I think we should talk about the plot in the naruto ooc thread))

As Sutsu walked along the desert, he tripped a wire that was strung across the ground. He didn’t realize he had tripped it until he had fallen on the ground. He then fell deep into a pit fall trap where spikes had been implanted in the ground. As he fell and saw the spikes, he used his special chakra strings ability, which he could only use through his left arm, and grabbed onto the ledge of the hole. He retracted the chakra strings, pulling him up close to the top of the hole, but he was only powerful enough to hang on by one hand on the ledge of the hole. As he sat dangling from the chakra made strings, he had to think of a way out. He couldn't jump because it required him stepping on the ground, which was covered with spikes, and he was too tired to pull himself up. Just then, a random hand had appeared to pull him up. But before he could see his saviors face, he fell unconscious, from traveling for too long in the desert. The mysterious person brought Sutsu back to their house, where the person put him in a bed. He had slept for a couple of hours and woke himself to realize he wasn't in the desert anymore. "Oh hello there. Are you up already?" said a woman's voice. She was probably in her mid twenties. "Where am I? Why did you save me?" Sutsu asked suspiciously. "Oh, well, I live here, in the Village of the Sand. I went out hunting earlier this morning, when I saw you pass by. I thought I'd keep an eye on you, just incase you fell unconscious. So anyways, when you fell in the hole, I saw you use that chakra concentration and made strings out of it. So, I had to save you because, I need your help, although I would have saved you, if you hadn't have had that power. I made that trap for animals, not thinking any ninja would fall for it... I'm guessing it was your fatigue though?" the woman explained. "Yeah. Please go on. Why do you need MY help? I don't even know you." Sutsu said, still suspiciously. "Well you see, I too have the ability that you have, I can concentrate chakra into matter like that too. But, I have made a possible concoction to be able to concentrate it into MUCH more than just little fine strings." she continued. She then focused her chakra and made a kunai out of it. She then threw it while throwing a normal kunai and showed that the chakra kunai was much more powerful. "How did you do that?!" Sutsu asked in amazement. "Well as I said, I made a concoction that made my powers stronger beyond compare, and I was wondering if it could work on other people too, or if it is only a my bloodline thing." "Well, I guess, since you saved my life. But I never caught your name, my name is Sutsu Faari." Sutsu said excitedly. "My name is Ridai Sherizu." Ridai said calmly, "you are welcome to stay as long as you need." "Thank you, but can you use both arms to concentrate your chakra? I can only use my left arm." Sutsu asked. "Yes, I can use both of them, and I had to give myself one shot for each arm, which means I will only need to give you one in your left. But I must warn you, it will make you feel sick for maybe a week. So again, feel free to stay here for as long as you need." "Ok, please give me the shot now. I do need to leave eventually because I am trying to trail someone." Sutsu said as he combed his shoulder length, burgundy colored hair. Ridai then grabbed the shot she had prepared, and ejected him with it. He fell unconscious instantly after she injected it.

Aikimoto and Kobayashi removed their head protectors engraved with a leaf symbol as they neared Hidden Sand Village. If all went well, this action would be unnecessary, but they didn't want to get their villiage into any trouble in case something went wrong.
The sun had set, and the desert had suddenly become chilly. Kobayashi Jin dared not complain, but followed her cloaked sensei as they passed into the outskirts of the village. They kept to the shadows, and were doing quite well... when Jin made a mistake.
She locked eyes with a passing stranger.
No doubt the flash of her eyes pointed out to the man that she and her sensei were both in cloaks, sneaking along in the shadows. The man abruptly stopped. Jin looked down and saw a kunai in his belt, and felt her hands inching instinctively towards her own.
A nudge from Tamasine told her to cut it out. He looked as if he did not notice the man glaring at them both. Her heart stopped as she waited for the signal to flee, but none came. Instead, a large, strange grin swept over his features. The Genin blinked in horror.
He ruffled her hair, and put his arm around her, gently guiding her towards a nearby house. She continued to blink in horror as he went on to beam and ramble excitedly about "a visit to see your aunt!". Tamasine knocked politely twice, then opened the unlocked door and barged right in. She was in too much shock to comprehend anything else he said. The stranger cocked his head, shrugged, then continued on his way.
As soon as they were inside, Jin noticed it was the home of a healer. "How did you know this house was empty?!" she exlaimed at him. He shrugged. "Windows." Jin still suspected that it had been a lucky guess and was furious, but at least her sensei was back to normal. "But it's not empty..." Tamasine whispered. He pointed to a bed in the corner where a young boy lay unconscious. Jin tiptoed over to his bedside and examined him. After some moments, Tamasine asked "Well, what do you make of it?" Jin shook her head in dissapointment. With all seriousness she replied, "Nah. Not my type." Tamasine groaned. "No. This is why.... nevermind. He's wearing a Hidden Leaf headband, and judging by his age he's only a genin. He smells and he's covered in sand... he's been traveling straight through the desert at a fast pace." Jin shrugged, then noticed a puncture mark on his wrist. "What the heck is he doing here? Looks like he's being used as a guinea pig."
They decided to leave before the owner of the home returned, and come back for the boy after they had obtained the information they had come for.

Sutsu woke up the next morning. He was very tired and had a nauseating stomach pain. His left arm was also burning, and he found it unusual. He walked into Ridai's room to find her in the middle of changing. "Gah!" I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" he repeated as he slammed the door shut. He blushed out of embarrassment. "It's OK. No need to apologize so much. I should have locked the door, anyways, what did you need?" Ridai said. "Is it normal for my arm to be burning?" Sutsu asked. "Yeah, it just means that it is working," Ridai said with excitement, "So, now I know it will work on other people too, thats a relief." "So when will i be able to use my new power?" Sutsu asked. "When you feel better, you'll see," she said, "as of now, you better just relax. Can i get you any food?" "OK, yes that would be good. You can use my money to pay for my food." Sutsu said. "No, it's alright, I'll pay for it. After all, you are a guest at my house." Ridai reassured. "No no, you use my money. I've already taken your bed and I don't want to trouble you anymore." Sutsu demanded. "No, I'll use my money. What would you like?" Ridai asked. "Well, whatever you want, get two of. I don't really care either way." Sutsu said. "Alright, I'll be back in a little while. Oh wait, here, take this. If you want to take a little walk around the village, you may want to wear this instead of your headband," She reminded as she handed him a sand village headband. "I guess I may want to take a walk soon," Sutsu said. "Well alright, I'll see ya in a couple of hours," she said while waving goodbye. Sutsu went to sleep. He woke up later, and decided to take a walk. He sat up and noticed he wasn't feeling sick anymore. He tried using his powers and he saw that he had made a tiny kunai with them. He then made the strings, just to make sure he could still do that. He took off his headband, put on the sand village one, then left. When Jin and Tamasine had broken into Ridai's house, Sutsu had only been fake asleep. Sutsu had his whip ready and was going to attack them, if they had stolen anything form the house. But when they left he fell right back asleep. He now went out he walk to go find out what they wanted and see if he could maybe find out about the where abouts of Merodi. They seemed odd and maybe they knew something about her where-abouts. HE wasn't sure if they would know, but he knew there was something about them he needed to stay with for a while.

The wind blew strongly through the barren landscape. A stream of sand was blown away toward a fallen tree which looked rotted and hollowed out from the immense heat. The only sounds heard are the blowing of the wind and the occasional whoosh of sand. The sounds of metal clashing peirce through the silence. From out of a small dust cloud a man is sent hurtling back towards a cliff wall. He strikes it and lands with a sickening crunch. From out of the cloud two more men are thrown; one slamming into a dead tree, which splintered upon contact, and another slamming into the sand and bouncing a few feet before stopping face down in the sand. The man who had struck the tree groaned and attempted to stand. He braced his body against the stump of the tree and slowly stood himself up. He surveyed the damage to the other two men, his comrades. The other two seemed to have not been as fortunate as he had, they were both dead. He shuts his eyes and gritted his teeth.
"How can this be?! We Mist ninja are supposed to be stronger than you Waterfall ninja! We three are Jounin! How can one kid def-"
He stopped suddenly as a black silhouette approached from the cloud. His eyes darted back and forth looking for a place to hide but it was to no avail. They were, after all, in the desert. He stood there as the figure made its way out of the sand cloud, one hand in his kunai pouch.
"No! This is not how i die! No Gennin will kill me!"
In a frenzy the man pulls two kunai from his pouch and runs at the figure emerging through the cloud. He drew both arms back ready to strike at the figure who had wiped out his entire squad. An arm shot out from the cloud and grabbed the man by the throat. He dropped his kunai and struggled to catch his breath. He began to move backwards as the figure finally made its way out of the cloud completely. The figure turned out to be a young man, around the age of sixteen to seventeen years. His long, messy brown hair blew in the wind like a wild mane. His piercing blue eyes stared deep into the man's own causing him to choke back a scared cry. He stood a little taller than six foot and wore a black shirt with a grey shirt underneath. His long dark blue pants hung down to his brown shoes that, too, blew in the wind. This young man released his grip on the strangling man who dropped to the floor coughing and wheezing for air.
"This is not where you die," the young man said. "Go back to your village and never come back, this is my only warning."
The man on the ground ceased his coughing. His eyes sharpened and his brow furrowed. He reached his right arm out for his kunai. In a final roar of anger he spun around and lunged at the young man. The young man ducked and struck him in the stomach causing the man to cough up blood. He flew back a few feet and landed on the ground next to the fallen tree.
"My name is Takashi Zukuto," the young man said. "If you do return, seek me, and only me, out. I will not allow you, or any of the people that accompany you, to harm my village. Remember this for i know you will seek revenge. Now go and live."
With that the man hurriedly stood and ran off into the desert, deserting his comrades. Zukuto closed his eyes and dropped his head. Out of the sand cloud behind him a silver piece of metal with a blue cloth attached to it landed next to his foot.
"You dropped something," came a voice from the cloud.
Zukuto opened his eyes and knelt down to retrieve the headband. He pushed back his hair and tied it around his forehead.
"I've killed two men here today, Toshiro sensei," he said mournfully. "I am not proud of how this mission ended."
The man in the cloud walked out and stood next to Zukuto. He was a tall man, a little taller than Zukuto and quite muscular. He had long black hair which flowed with the wind. He wore a standard jounin uniform from the Waterfall Village and had his forehead protector tied to his left arm. Under his left eye he had a tattoo that was black and stood for "Bravery."
"Nevertheless," Toshiro said while still looking forward toward the horizon, "you've completed your mission. I'm glad to have you among the ranks of the chunnin. You earned it Zukuto."
"Thank you, sensei. Help me bury these two, I don't want them the dishonor of being picked clean by the buzzards."
"Very well," Toshiro replied.
They walked over to the bodies and picked them up.
*************
Zukuto and Toshiro stood on a cliff top surveying the two mounds in the dirt with two kunai shoved into the top as grave markers. Toshiro reached into his pouch and retrieved a letter. He handed it to Zukuto.
"This is your first mission as a chunnin," he said. "You can start tomorrow after you've rested."
Zukuto opened the letter and scanned the page. It read:
Hello Zukuto-kun,
In this mission you must find and follow this ninja:
Faari Sutsu : Konoha runaway
You must follow and make sure no harm comes to him. Once you find him ask him to escort you back to the Waterfall Village for a meeting. Good luck
Zukuto closed the note and tucked it into his pouch. He nodded in approval to Toshiro. They both jumped off into the desert to the Sand Village for the last time.

Merodi was sitting on a sandy ledge near where Zukuto had wiped out the squad attacking him. She watched in aw at how skilled he was.
"That guy is real good... probably as good as Sutsu..." Merodi said to herself. She then started to cry at the fact that the guy she loved was trying to kill her.
It was her fault that her family had started a war with the Faari family... and had completely obliterated them all... except Sutsu.
He was incomparable in strength to almost anyone. He may have been two years younger than her but he was taking down the best fighters in her class in a matter of minutes. As she watched Zukuto, she already saw in her had how Sutsu would have taken him down. Although she was not sure about if he could pull it off, she knew that he would have known what to do. even as a young boy, Sutsu had been a tactical genius, and best of his class.
She wanted to explain everything to him and explain how it was an accident, but sh knew if she got anywhere near her, she would be killed. So all she could do was do what she always did and follow where ever the wind went.
She knew that she needed to go into town, but she thought that h may be there. She would need to hide herself from him if he was in town and get her supplies, then rush out as fast as possible. She knew the terrible horror of what he had done to her family to get revenge, and was barely able to escape herself.
She got up and decided to try to get into town anyways, and if he saw her, she would leave as fast as possible. She knew she had somewhat of a chance because of her Doajutsu, which allowed her to transform into any of the four elements and teleport herself.
As she wandered near the town, she came across a few bandits. They were nothing special, but were trying to rob her of what she had.
"hey there, we need some money, and were wondering if we could "borrow" yours" one asked.
She reached for her shuriken, and threw it at his face, but he caught it in between his fingers.
"Ha toots, i caught it!" he bragged".
She closed her eyes and concentrated. She was about to use her other Doajutsu. This Doajutsu allowed her to blow up weapons on command. The man then noticed the shiuriken getting hotter and turning red, but as he started to drop it, it exploded, scattering his remains all over his two accomplices. They then ran out of fear. She glanced at the town and removed her headband, which she wore as a bracelet.
As she walked through the town, she saw the back of Sutsu's head. She halted in far as he turned around and saw her. But instead of attacking her, he glared at her, pointing to her to leave the town. She saw he was wearing a sand village headband, and was unsure why, but she knew that she had a chance to leave. But as she left, sh felt a sharp pain in her arm. What she pulled out was a Kunai, made of pure chakra. She saw that Sutsu had thrown it and had somehow developed his skills to be even more effective. As she held her bleeding arm, she sprinted out of town, not getting the supplies she needed.

"Uh-oh..."
"What is it, Zinan?"
The raven-haired boy stood at the edge of a cliff, peering out at the countries surrounding the mountain that was home to the Cloud Village. His two teammates were lying under a tree, escaping the heat of the summer sun, and resting from a long day of training. It had only been a week since they graduated from ninja academy, and their sensei hadn't exactly been going easy on them. At least he was able to perfect his Hawk Eyes no Jutsu, which he was now using to spy on the countries below him.
"There's a huge sand storm brewing in the Wind Country, and it looks like it's heading to the base of the mountain." he informed them, adjusting the goggles on his forehead.
"SHIT!!" Sachi swore loudly, sitting up from her place on the grass. "That's where we're training tomorrow!"
"Watch your mouth, Sachi. And that sand storm probably won't even be anywhere near this mountain by tomorrow." Toroku, their sensei, told them as he appeared out of thin air, and standing on thin air. He had caught his squad off guard, and the three of them shrieked at his sudden appearence.
"Toroku-Sensei, you gotta stop popping up like that!" Jiro snapped, recollecting his cool. Toroku chuckled.
"And you three call yourselves genin? You shouldn't be shocked when another ninja randomly appears, you should be prepared to fight! Haven't I taught you this?"
"Whatever, Sensei. Enough with the lectures. When do we get our first mission? It's already been a week!" Sachi asked hopefully.
"Not anytime soon." he replied, watching his squad's jaws practically drop.
"Whaddya mean 'not anytime soon'??" Zinan asked, shocked.
"I mean just that." Toroku said as he stepped from the midair onto the cliff's edge.
"Whyyyyy?" Jiro whined.
"Because the Raikage himself asked me and the other squad leaders to go on our own mission. We have to go to all the neighboring countries and inform them that we'll be holding the chûnin exams here this fall."
"What are we supposed to do until you get back?" Zinan asked.
"Train yourselves. I'll only be gone a few weeks." he told them calmly, but they continued to fall apart.
"A FEW WEEKS?!" the two boys shouted in unison. After he had given them the news, Toroku turned to leave, but Sachi stopped him.
"Wait, Sensei. What are the chûnin exams?" she asked curiously. Toroku turned to face her.
"Something the three of you are much too inexperienced to need to know about right now." he said.
"SENSEI, CUT THE CRAP! Answer my question— what are they?" Sachi snapped at him. He sighed.
"Fine, you wanna know? They're an exam taken by experienced genin to become chûnin-ranked ninja, and it's very challenging. Some don't even make it out alive." He watched them pale at this last statement. "But that doesn't matter, because A: you have to be recommended by your sensei, and B: you must have completed at least 8 D-rank and 4 C-rank missions to participate. You three have completed none, and I say you're too inexperienced to be recommended, making this irrelevant information." he informed them. He turned to leave again, only to be stopped by Sachi for a second time.
"Sensei....Nii-San.... I told you a long time ago that one day I would be a better ninja than you, and surpass you in skill. In order to do that, I would need to obtain higher ranks as fast as possible. I want to take the chûnin exams this fall, so take us on your mission with you! You can use the time to train us!" she practically demanded. Toroku turned to face his little sister, eye to eye.
"No." he said simply.
"WHY NOT?!" Sachi shouted.
"Because, I don't want a bunch of little kids running around with me, day and night, for the next few weeks!" he explained. Now it was the boys turn to protest.
"We're not a 'bunch of little kids', Sensei!" Zinan argued.
"Yeah, these headbands make us adults!" Jiro added, poking the Cloud Village headband he wore on his forehead.
"My answer is still no, it could be dangerous." Toroku said, shaking his head. But Sachi wasn't done trying to convince him.
"Think about it Toroku-Sensei— think about how jealous and impressed the other squad leaders would be if your squad entered the exams as rookies!" she said coyly, and watched him think it over.
"Yeah! You could get some serious training out of us if you brought us along!" Zinan added hopefully. The three teammates watched their sensei anxiously, and saw a smile slowly grow on his face.
"Fine." he said, finally giving in. He watched their faces light up. "Go get packed, we leave first thing in the morning for the Waterfall Village." They nodded, and were gone in an instant.

The Sand Village is alive with people moving about their day-to-day tasks. Zukuto and Toshiro land on a rooftop above it all and survey the crowd.
“I guess this’ll be the last time we come here for a while,” Toshiro said with a sigh. “It’s been a nice ‘vacation’ and I am proud that my student became a Chûnin in the process.”
Zukuto laughed. “Some vacation Sensei, we should head to the Snow Village next time to escape the blasted heat from this place! I swear I must be darker than my kunai!” Zukuto jokingly pulled out a kunai and compared it to his arm.
Toshiro chuckled and nudged Zukuto in the shoulder. “You’re a great student Zukuto-kun, and I know you will make a fine Jounin one day.”
Zukuto thanked him for the compliment and they jumped down from the rooftop. They both walked through the crowd to a small shop to buy some supplies for the journey home.
“So Sensei,” Zukuto began, “what’s so special about some runaway anyway? I mean why would the Hitokage* be interested in him?”
“I do not know as of yet but maybe the Hitokage* will have some answers for you when you get back,” he replied.
“You mean when we get back,” Zukuto corrected.
Toshiro didn’t answer. They both entered the supplies shop. Toshiro used his money to buy all of Zukuto’s supplies. Zukuto noticed that he had not gathered any for himself. He thought nothing of it and left the building to wait for him outside. As he left the shop he looked about the crowd. He saw many people walking along paths and children playing in the streets. The only thing out of the ordinary was the two people who stood facing each other, unmoving, amongst the crowd. One was a young boy with long red hair, which covered one of his eyes. The other was a female who looked slightly older than im and had a scared look on her face. She grabbed the back of her arm and stumbled back. The red haired boy turned and walked away. The girl watched him go and in turn left as well. Zukuto didn’t know what this meant but at the moment he didn’t care, he was going home. He took a deep breath in as a cloud of sand passed by. Zukuto choked and coughed violently.
“I’ll be glad to get back to my village,” Zukuto said with a grimace.
Toshiro walked from the building and patted Zukuto on the shoulder.
“Time to go,” he said.
They made their way to the village gates. Once they reached the massive doors Toshiro stopped short. Zukuto stopped once he realized his sensei had stopped moving.
“Toshiro-Sensei?” he said.
“This, unfortunately, is where I take my leave Zukuto,” he said with his head down. “It’s hard to explain but the Hitokage* asked me that you go alone to the village to find the boy mentioned in the note.”
Zukuto looked at Toshiro quizzically. “I don’t understand. Why must you leave?”
Toshiro sighed. “It’s not that I want to leave, it’s just that the Hitokage* and I think you are ready to face the challenges of the world. You have been my best student out of all I’ve ever trained Zukuto-kun. I’ve always looked to you as a son. Through the many hardships we have faced you have always pulled through and become a greater man for it. But now it is time that I let go and allow you to go on into the world and become a real man, just like any parent would want their child to do. I’ve taught you everything I know and you’ve learned a few things of your own. I have nothing more to teach you.”
Zukuto too looked to the ground. His sensei had been like a father to him because he took him in when he was left at the academy. He had always been there for Zukuto and the thought of loosing him was very hard for him to except. But in his heart he knew that it was the right thing to do. Toshiro said that he was ready and he had never lied to Zukuto before so it must be true.
“I, I understand…Toshiro-Sensei,” he said sorrowfully. “Where will you go?”
“I think I’ll head to the village of Konoha and meet some old friends of mine, he said looking away from Zukuto. “I’ve not seen them for years and I think now is the time I should pay them a visit.”
“I am sorry you must leave,” Zukuto said. “It’s been great having you with me.”
“Do not worry Zukuto,” Toshiro said with a smile. “This is not the last time we will see each other. I will see you again someday when you have become a fine Jounin; a fine man.”
((OOC: Naruto flute music starts here, lol))
Zukuto looked up. He stared straight into his Sensei’s eyes. He recalled all of the missions he had been on with him. He recalled the good times, the bad times, the laughter and the struggles. He thought about what a great teacher, a great father, Toshiro had been to him over the years. He saw his Sensei’s eyes tear up. Zukuto walked forward and embraced his Sensei.
“Thank you, Toshiro-Sensei, for every thing,” Zukuto said.
Toshiro looked down at Zukuto, surprised. He, too, embraced his student.
“No, Thank you,” Toshiro said, a tear running down his cheek, “son.”
Zukuto pulled away and wiped his eyes on his sleeve. He smiled brightly at his former sensei. Toshiro returned the smile. There, at the gates of the Sand Village, Zukuto began his greatest journey, his journey into manhood. He turned and walked away to the gates. Before leaving he looked back over his shoulder and smiled again at Toshiro.
“And so it begins,” Zukuto said. “Goodbye, Toshiro-Sensei.”
And with that, Zukuto took of into the desert, disappearing on the horizon, headed home to start his new life as a man. Toshiro gazed at the horizon as Zukuto disappeared over it.
“Good luck Zukuto,” he said.
And with one final glance back at the horizon Toshiro walks away, filled with hope.
*((OOC: Hitokage is a name Sutsu and I made up for the name of the leader of the Waterfall Village. I have yet to find out what its actually called so until then it will be called Hitokage. Just go with it for now.))

"hmmm... everyone i have asked... says that Tamasine and Jin, or some shady characters, have left for the waterfall village. Why would they do that..." Sutsu mumbled to himself.
As he wandered around, asking if anyone had seen an older looking ninja with their sensei, everyone kept pointing to the gate out of town toward the village of the grass. Stu finally gave in and decided to listen to what they had said, for he didn't know if it was them, but it was a better lead than nothing.
"Oy... this is such a drag. Now i gotta go find them OUTSIDE of the village? Well I'm gonna go stay with Ridai for one more night and get some supplies, then leave next thing in the morning."
Stu walked back to Ridai's house where she had been waiting for him. Upon his return, Ridai was sitting, eat8ing some Ramon and drinking some tea. There was another bowl sitting in the dark room with Ramon also, and a candle was lit.
"Whats up with the dark candle lit room?" Sutsu asked as he sat down to eat.
"Incredible. absolutely incredible. How is it that you, at age 13 recovered within one day? It's not logical... it makes NO sense..." Ridai said to herself.
"I don't know... I've always been very good at recovering fast, and fighting. I bet i could be the best in my village... other than the hokage." Sutsu slightly bragged.
"I must study this, this is insane... and Sutsu? I know you're leaving tomorrow... but please remember to keep in touch with me... report any problems that start occuring... and also, just let me know how you are and what is happening..." She said with a warm, glowing smile.
"Ok... i will! Sutsu said smiling. He had not smiled in a very long time. He had a flash back about when him and Merodi were younger.
~~~~~~
"Hey Sutsu-kun! Wait up!" a seven year old Merodi shouted to his five year old self.
"Merodi... How was being at the academy? Did you have fun today?" Sutsu asked generously.
"Yes i did, and i made plans for our future too!" Merodi said excitedly, "When we grow up... we Will get married! We could have a few kids, have a dog, maybe a hamster!" She said while grinning. Sutsu recognized why seeing Ridai's smile was so heart warming to him. It reminded him of Merodi.
~~~~~~
Sutsu woke up early the next morning. Rida was already up, making tea.
"So uh I'm just wondering... how do you plan to study why i recover so fast?" Sutsu asked curiously.
"Well if you just hold still for a moment..." she said as she pricked him with a needle and drew out blood. "There, all done."
"Well, Ridai... I'm gonna go now... I'll write to you... and you gotta promise to write back..." Sutsu said sadly while blushing. Sutsu looked up at her and looked at her gorgeously long black hair and dark brown eyes. HE was gonna miss the short time he spent at Ridai's but he knew he would be back eventually.
"OK Sutsu... be safe and remember... don't use your powers for evil... I would regret giving them to you if you plan to use them for darkness. Oh, and take this... i know it's not much but i made a a little pack for you to eat when you got hungry... and here is some medications for any type of pain..." Ridai said as she smiled.
"Thanks, mom... I-I mean Ms. Ridai!" Sutsu said as he remembered his mom. How gentle and kind she was, how forgiving and caring she was.
Sutsu then ran out the door, as Ridai followed closely behind to see him off. Sutsu ran to the gate where he had been told to go. He then crossed out of the gate and into the plain desert again.
As Sutsu continued on, he ran until he was out of the hot desert, and now in large fields of grass. Sutsu felt like he was being watched, but ignored it, because he knew he had to catch up to Tamasine and Jin.
Not far off, Merodi spied on Sutsu. She gazed at how he ran and started to cry, wishing that she could just be with him again. She remembered some time in the past when she and Sutsu had been good friends, destined to be married.
~~~~~~
"Hey Sutsu... do you think we will always be like this... forever?" 9 year old Merodi asked while blushing.
"I hope so... I mean with our families hating each other... hopefully we can stay friends..." Sutsu said, partially concerned.
"And perform the special way of marriage... the right of acception..." Merodi said with passion. "Where we both sit under a soft water falls and if we glow together covered in chakra... we will be together forever..."
"Yeah..." Sutsu said not fully paying attention.
"How do we know we will though?" Merodi asked concerned.
Sutsu snapped into full attention, "Because we love each other... and nothing will keep us apart forever... I will do the right of acception with you... no matter what..." he said slowly.
~~~~~~
Merodi blushed as remembered that moment and wished it was true. But she knew that until she could find a way to talk to him and help him understand, she could not be with him.
Sutsu ran farther off into the distance. He had one thought on his mind, "Find Tamasine and Jin." he then approached a tall figure walking int he distance, but it was not Jin. It was someone else.
Sutsu remembered his Leaf headband and put it on, hiding the sand one. The tall chounin tuned around, and threw his fists up in a fighting stance.
"Who are you!" he said. Sutsu noticed he had a waterfall headband on, meaning he had made a mistake and followed the wrong guy.
"Faari Sutsu. Why does it matter to you?" Sutsu said as he glared at the waterfall chounin.
"Ah... i see.. well then... my name is Takashi Zukuto... I am from the Waterfall village and i need you to come with me Sutsu..."
"Why should i?!" Sutsu challenged.
"Because i was sent to find you, by the Hitokage." Zukuto said firmly.
"Proove it." Sutsu challenged again.
Zukuto pulled out the paper he had been assigned with and showed Sutsu where it said his name.
"alright... but i don't want to make any promises that I'm your man..." Sutsu gave in.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you are." Zukuto said.
As they continued to walk through the plains, they described to each other about their pasts.
They then approached the Hidden waterfall village, Takigakure.

(OOC: Ok, here I am! XD)
Kaori Kawashima walked through the wilderness, barely noticing which direction she was going in, lost in thought. It was safe to say she's have fair warning if anything decided to attack her in terrain like this; anything moving suddenly would disturb the underbrush, which was particularly thick in this area.
She'd been travelling alone for three days now. She'd beenm without sleep for the past two; she didn't dare sleep in this godforsaken forest. She pushed her grungy, white-blonds hair out of her face; her hair tie had snapped a day or so ago and she didn;t have a replacement. Sure fatigue dulled her responses, but it was far better then being caught sleeping by an enemy.
Because IT was still out there.
Kaori hadn't always been alone. She'd had a companion. Now she didn't.
And now she was afraid to sleep.
Up until three days ago, she had been travelling with her little brother; a Genin seperated from his group during a mission. She had volunteered to escort him back to them. A day into the trip, Kaori had discovered that they were being watched. A day later, they were attacked. By what, Kaori couldn't say. It looked like a man...only not, somehow. It was vaguely man-sheped, and a ninja. And Kaori and her brother were no match for it. Kaori had been knocked unconscious, and was woken up to a splitting headache and the sudden realization that whoever it was had left.
And it had taken her brother along with it.
I couldn't protect him...couldn't....
What'm I going to do?
At least while she was awake and moving, she couldn't think much. Nothing terribly coherant, anyway.
Kazuki....
She blinked back tears and tightened her mouth in resolve. How long could she keep running? How could she run at all? If she was any kind of decent she would turn and fight. But...
The truth was, if she fought right now, she would lose. She hadn't slept in two days, had eaten next to nothing, and was physically and mentally drained. She was also covered in minor cuts and bruises from her earlier encounter with the creature.
But what was it? It resembled a sort of person, she supposed. But who? And why? Too many questions. She dismissed them and walked on.
Suddenly, the bushes in front of her rustled. She froze, a shuriken in her hand before she even realized what she was doing. To her immense surprise, a boy stumbled out of the bushes. He looked to be a few years older than herself, and was heavily bandaged. It looked to be pretty ineffective though; blood all but soaked the rags, and he didn't look at all well. Kaori put her shuriken away and walked forward cautiously.
"What the hell happened to you?" She asked without thinking.
This could be a trap...
...but it doesn't feel like one....
Well, if it was, she was twice as foolish and would deserve whatever happened to her anyway. She dug around in her bag for a canteen filled with water, and handed it to the boy, whe accepted it with a nod of thanks.

It had been two days since Sachi and her squad left with Toroku on his mission. The three genin walked in silence through a small forest, darkness quickly approaching. They watched the ground as they walked, taking extra precautions not to step on any twigs. Sachi blinked once, which was a mistake. The next noises she heard were a 'SNAP' and a 'THUNK', accompanied by a small shriek from herself.
"That was a close one, Sachi. You shoulda been able to catch that." Toroku said, emerging from a bush. Sachi glared at him.
"I would have, if your aim didn't suck so bad, Toroku-Sensei!" she snapped. Toroku grinned and walked over to the tree next to his sister, removing the kunai knife that he had thrown from its trunk, and from the head of an unfortunate snake that had been slithering by. He held the snake up to her.
"I didn't miss— I caught you a snack~!" he said jokingly, waving it around. Sachi, and even Zinan and Jiro, made disgusted faces.
"EEW, I wouldn't eat that if we were completely out of food!" she said, sticking her tongue out distastefully. Toroku smiled broadly.
"Well that's too bad, cuz we ARE out of food!"
CRASH.
The three genin fell to the ground in disbelief, as they realized how hungry they actually were. Maybe roasted snake wouldn't be too bad after all...?
((OOC: OMG yay anime falls! X333))
~~~
Squad Nine sat around a small fire, eating their roasted snake (they had caught a few more), and discussing what sort of training they would cover on the way to the Waterfall Village the next day. Once that was settled, they sat in silence for a while.
After swallowing a bite and gulping down some water, Zinan looked over at Sachi, who was poking at the fire with a stick. He caught himself wondering what she would look like with her dirty-blonde hair worn down, since she's worn it in pig-tails as long as he'd known her. Looking at her hair brought his gaze to her deep-blue eyes, which were still fixed on the fire. How he longed to stare into them. He sighed dreamily, and she glanced over at him, giving a look that said 'what the hell?'. Zinan blushed deeply, and quickly looked away. Sachi simply rolled her eyes, and averted her attention back to the fire.
"Toroku-Sensei, how much farther is it to the Waterfall Village? I mean, we've been traveling for two whole days! It can't be much farther..." Jiro asked, tossing the remains of his snake into the fire.
"It's only about a few hours walking distance from here. We should get there by noon tomorrow, just in time to grab a decent lunch." he replied, seeing their faces light up. The mention of good food always seemed to brighten any dreary mood.
"I'm going to have rice cakes and sushi!" Sachi said proudly, grinning. Toroku chuckled half-heartedly, brushing his blond hair out of his eyes sleepily.
"I don't think we've got that kind of money, Oni-Chan." Sachi snorted.
"Don't ruin my fun, Sensei. AND WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT CALLING ME ONI-CHAN??" Toroku laughed again, and stood up.
"Alright, you three. We should all get some sleep. We need to get up early so we can get there by lunch-time." They nodded, and got into their sleeping bags. With Toroku's chakra set up as tripwires around the camp, the four of them were asleep in no time.
~~~
"Shiiiiiiiiiiit...." Sachi said in amazement as she took in the magnificent sights of the Takigakure— the Waterfall Village. Toroku casually smacked her on the back of the head as he approached the village's gates.
"Watch your mouth." he said just as casually.
"Watch your hand, dumb ass!" she snapped back. He ignored her, and lead them into the village.
"You three be on your best behavior. We're in a foreign village, and any displays of inapropriate behavior might make them change thier minds on sending genin for the chûnin exams." Toroku warned as they headed towards the center of the village. The three genin nodded; they knew if they costed him respect of the village's Hitokage, he wouldn't let them enter the chûnin exams either.

Upon entering Takigakure, Zukuto took a moment to stop and take in the cool temperature. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. The air smelled sweet from the mist of the waterfall. It had been a while since he had been back here and decided not to waste a minute of it. He heard the chirping of birds and the pleasant trickle of the stream that traveled along the gates of the village. He heard the sound of the waterfall crashing into the river below it making a low rumbling sound far off in the distance.
"What are you doing?" Sutsu asked.
Zukuto's eyes shot open. He had forgotten that Faari Sutsu had been there. He had been asked to find and bring him here and what luck, he came to him. He turned to Sutsu, the smile leaving his face and back to the serious expression he had worn upon meeting Sutsu.
"I've been away from here for far too long," Zukuto said. "It is good to finally be back here. I will take you to the Hitokage now, sorry to have kept you waiting."
Zukuto resumed his escort of Sutsu. They walked past the few buildings bordering the gates. A few people looked up from their homes and smiled as they waved at Zukuto. Zukuto returned the gestures with a friendly smile. They rounded a corner and walked through the town square. Zukuto sensed Sutsu stop and turned to find out what had happened. On Sutsu's face was a look of awe.
"Wow," was all Sutsu could manage to get out.
He looked up at the great waterfall that flowed down behind the city. The waterfall's cliff side was covered with vegetation and a slight rainbow. In front of the waterfall stood a gigantic circular building.
"What is that," Sutsu asked.
"That," Zukuto replied, "is where I'm taking you. That is where the Hitokage resides. Let's pick up the pace; we don't want to keep him waiting."
Zukuto jumped up onto a rooftop towards the Hitokage's building. Sutsu ran after him.
"Wait up!" he cried.
********
Zukuto stops at the doorway into the building. He turns around as he hears loud, fast footsteps approaching. Sutsu appears from around the corner out of breath.
"What's the deal," he panted. "Why'd you ditch me back there?"
"You're here now arent you?" Zukuto replied with a grin. He opened the door and proceeded inside. "Come."
Sutsu gave Zukuto a dirty look and followed him through the door. They walked down a long wooden hallway and passed some other people on the way. Zukuto stopped at a large double door and knocked three times. A shuffling of feet was heard on the other side. The door slowly opened inward. Zukuto motioned for Sutsu to follow him and he walked inside. Zukuto lead Sutsu to a long wooden table with a man seated in a chair in the middle. He was dressed in a long blue and white robe with a square shaped hat that had a cloth hanging down the back of his head. He looked up at Zukuto and Sutsu and rose smiling brightly.
"Ah, Zukuto-kun! I knew I could count on you to bring Sutsu-kun here! Very well done!" He said happily. "I'll be sure to mark this mission as a success."
"Hello Hitokage-sama," Zukuto said as he lowered his head slightly in respect.
The Hitokage's eyes then fell upon Sutsu. He smiled warmly and walked over to Sutsu offering his hand.
"And welcome to you too, Faari Sutsu, to the Waterfall Village."
Sutsu took his hand and shook it. "Thanks," he said.
He walked back to his desk and sat back down in his seat. "And now to business. Sutsu-kun, would you mind waiting outside while I speak with Zukuto in private?"
Two rather large ninja walked to either of Sutsu's sides. "Looks like I don't have a choice," he said. The Hitokage nodded and the two ninja escorted him outside. The doors shut and it was quiet once more.
"Zukuto," the Hitokage began, "well done on your mission. I've always seen promise in you and knew you would make a fine Chunin one day. Now that that day has come I am proud to know you."
"Why have I been asked to bring this, child here," Zukuto asked impatiently.
The Hitokage paused and looked to the door. "Now Zukuto, I know leaving your sensei was hard but try not to dwell on that," he said changing the subject. "He and I both know you are ready to go on with your life."
"That's not what I asked," Zukuto said. "Why did I bring Faari Sutsu here, he's just a runaway."
"He isn’t just a run away, Zukuto-kun," the Hitokage said. "He happens to be a very talented ninja, almost as powerful as yourself."
"That may be," Zukuto replied, "but he's still a runaway."
"He happens to be my grandson too," the Hitokage said.
Zukuto stopped. His grandson? A Konoha runaway and the Hitokage's grandson? That couldn't be.
"Yes Zukuto-kun," the Hitokage said as if reading his mind, "it's true. And now comes the reason why asked you here today, without your sensei."
Zukuto perked up. He wanted to know why this had happened and he wanted an explanation, and it had better be a good one.
"Zukuto-kun," the Hitokage said. "I want you to lead a new squad of ninja, special ninja as yourself, to perform tasks for the betterment of mankind. I know this is a lot to ask for in you but I feel you are the most equipped to take this job. You are the most skilled ninja in this village Zukuto-kun and all of the other ninja know that. That is why they recommended you for this."
"Well, I wouldn't say every ninja, Hitokage-sama," Zukuto said as he inclined his head again.
"Though I am Hitokage, I am old and withered. I am no longer in my prime. If I were I wouldn't have asked this task for you. But as it is I am old and I need a new generation to take over for me in the field. So Zukuto-kun, what do you say."
A rush of feelings and questions filled Zukuto. Why him? He new he couldn't possibly be the strongest ninja out of the entire village. But the entire village had recommended him to lead this group, fellow ninja. The entire village was behind him, as well as Toshiro. Zukuto smiled and nodded.
"Yes, Hitokage-sama. It would be an honor."
"Great!" the Hitokage exclaimed. "This is also why I assigned you to find Sutsu. He is to be your second member."
Zukuto nodded. He wasn't about to say anymore about his grandson that may be deemed disrespectful.
"Very well, Hitokage-sama, thank you.”
“We will talk more about this tomorrow,” the Hitokage said. “In the meantime, get to know Sutsu-kun. All though he may not look powerful, his Blood line limit may be just as powerful as yours.”
“I will,” Zukuto replied.
“Oh! Before I forget, I had another mission for you. Be sure to have Sutsu come with you. Maybe this is what you two will need to ‘break the ice,’ so to speak,” the Hitokage said as he handed Zukuto a small note, similar to that of the first. He opened the note and it read:
Zukuto-kun, You must track down yet another ninja:
Sheruffu Merodi: Konoha Chûnin
Upon meeting Merodi you must extend an invitation to her to join your elite squad. Before leaving on this mission, however, you will be given two extra Waterfall Village headbands. One is to be given to Faari Sutsu. He no longer has a country of origin and now must wear the respective headband of his squad’s village. The other is to be given to Merodi. All though she may appear fragile and weak, she has a very powerful Blood Line Limit as well. Give her the headband and let her make the decision on whether to wear it. This is all, Zukuto-kun. When you have completed your mission proceed on to the Grass Village to divert war from breaking out. I fear that this war will be inevitable. Good luck.
---Hitokage---
“Yes Hitokage-sama, I-,”
All of the sudden, the doors to the room burst open. A cloud of dust covered the opening but Zukuto could still make out a few figures. He whipped around and pulled out a kunai readying himself for an attack. As the dust cloud cleared the figures turned out to be a group of ninja, cloud ninja. In front of the group stood a girl with her right arm outstretched with fingers in a peace sign. She was short compared to Zukuto and wore her dirty blonde hair in pigtails. She smiled triumphantly.
"Hello Hitokage!" the girl shouted jubilantly. "We are the ninja of the Cloud Village!”

((OOC: *cackle* I have arrived! ~♪))
The boy only took but a sip of the water out of Kaori's canteen, handed it back to her, and continued limping on into the forest.
She eyed him with curiosity. Blood was even dripping from his long black hair that stoop up high down to beneath his long, blue bangs. He looked deathly exhaused, but he barely even drank a drop of her water.
"Uh... you can have some more if you want," she told him.
"You need it more than I do, I'm probably going to die out here soon anyways. I don't want to waste any of your supplies," he explained casually.
Upon saying this, he fainted on the spot.
~
Nakatsu Tsuiyoko's grey eyes opened to bright green eyes staring down at him with a mixture of curiosity and concern.
He sat up and rubbed his head. He didn't feel like he was going to die of blood loss anymore, and as he looked at himself he noticed with a bit of suprise that he had entirely new bandages-- and the person who had applied them had done a much better job than he had with the old ones.
He turned to the light-blonde girl. (she looked around 13 or 14) "Did you do this?" he asked her.
"Well, I'm the only IN this god-forsaken forest," she pointed out. She noticed he had a Sound Village headband with a gash carved through the music note symbol. "So I'm just assuming that you abandoned your village, but not before getting heavily wounded?"
"Yes," Nakatsu replied simply. He stood up slowly as to prevent any of his wounds from opening up again. He stuck out his bandaged hand. "I'm Nakatsu Tsuiyoko," he told her.
She took his hand. "Well, it looks like your now in the debt of Kaori Kawashima," she told him. She grinned mischeviously.
Oh no, Nakatsu thought to himself. What have I gotten myself into.
"Well it seems you drank all of my water," she continued.
"What? I thought I only took a sip," he protested.
"Well when you were knocked unconcious, I forced the rest of it in your mouth so you wouldn't DIE," she explained.
"Well, I shall help you look for some more, and my debt shall be repayed," he told her, beginning to walk out of the clearing and deeper into the forest.
"Don't count your debt being payed back THAT easily," she told him.

((OOC: meanwhile....back IN Takigakure...))
The Hitokage looked at Sachi, still in her pose, with a look of utter surprise and confusion. Didn't she see the guards outside the door? The room was silent, all eyes on Sachi now, when Toroku walked up behind her with an embarrassed and enraged look on his face. He smacked her upside the head again, a little harder than the previous time.
"Sachi, what did I just say about behaving??" he asked between clenched teeth. She rubbed the back of her head.
"OWWW! 'The HELL, Sensei! I didn't swear!" she argued. Toroku shot a glare at her.
"Outside, you three. NOW." he said sternly. Sachi stuck her tongue out at him, and spun on her heel, leading Jiro and Zinan to follow in her wake. Once they were gone, Toroku cleared his throat, and bowed to the Hitokage.
"I apologize for that, Hitokage-sama." he said. The Hitokage waved it off.
"It's fine. She's quite a character, that Sachi. Got some gut to talk to her sensei that way." Toroku grinned.
"She's my little sister." he informed him. Toroku noticed another ninja, maybe a little older than his squad, who had obviously been here before him. "Um....Am I interrupting something?" he asked.
"Oh, no, Zukuto and I were done here." the Hitokage said. "You can leave now, Zukuto-kun." Zukuto bowed to the Hitokage.
"I will do my best to successfully complete my mission, Hitokage-sama." he said before leaving. Once he disappeared behind the doors, the Hitokage turned his full attention to Toroku.
"So, you're from the Cloud Village, I presume..." he said, noticing Toroku's headband on his forehead. Toroku nodded.
"Yes, sir. I'm here about the chûnin exams this fall..."
~~~
((OOC: For StuStu's sake, I must tell you ppl that this is an 'in the same moment' sort of scene. This is what's going on outside while Toroku and Zukuto and the Hitokage are still inside.))
Sachi stormed out of the Hitokage's chambers, her teammates close behind. They could hear her swearing under her breath about 'that shit-headed brother of hers'. They stopped walking when they were finally outside the doors.
"DAMNIT, WHY DOES HE ALWAYS HAVE TO FREAKIN' SCOLD ME??" she yelled. Jiro flinched, then provided an answer for her.
"Well, maybe cuz yer always swearing and acting disrespectful...?" he ventured. Sachi turned and glared at him, causing him to shrink back. "Just a thought!" he added meekly. Sachi huffed, and noticed the three of them weren't alone. There was a shady looking ninja, about their age, standing nearby, watching them with a glare.
"What's your problem?" Sachi asked in a mean tone.
"I can't see my forehead..." the ninja replied.
((OOC: HAHAHA!! jk, jk.))
"Nothing. What's your problem?" he asked, the same mean tone. Sachi grinned.
"You don't wanna know, dude." She looked up at him again, and he was looking her over, as well as Zinan and Jiro.
"You guys are from the Cloud Village....What are you doing here?" he asked. Sachi was now smiling proudly.
"We came to talk to the Hitokage about the chûnin exams this fall!" she declaired. She then looked at him curiously. "What about you? Why are you randomly standing outside the Hitokage's quarters? You're not from this village either..." she asked, noticing his Leaf Village headband.
Sutsu looked down. "well, I'm not exactly sure. For some reason, the hitokage wants to see me, a runaway genin from Konoha.
"You mean you ran away? why would you do that?" the girl asked.
"Well, my family... was slaughtered... and i plan to get my revenge..." Sutsu said calmly.
"You, a run away genin, plan to take on ninja who killed your family?" One of the boys behind the girl asked, shocked.
"Yes indeed, i know i can't do it, but... at least i can try..." Sutsu said weakly.
"Hmm... there's something funny about this guy... what's your name?" the girl asked.
"Faari Sutsu, yours?" He asked in return.
"I'm Urushiyama Sachiko." the girl said.
"I'm Tanaka Zinan" said the boy who had been shocked about Sutsu wanting revenge.
"And I'm Noguchi Jiro." said the other boy.
Anyhow, my revenge is going to have to wait, because, for some reason, the hitokage has something to do with me...
"I see..." Sachiko said.
There was an awkward pause, then Sutsu noticed Jiro whispering to Tanaka, "Hey, what do you think that seal on his arm is?"
"I don;t know," Tanaka replied.
"Hey Sutsu, what is that seal on your arm for? it has a weird design." Sachiko asked to smite the boys for not flat out asking.
"Oh, this? well its my whip. I use it to fight." Sutsu said bluntly.
Just then, Zukuto-kun walked out of the door.
"Come on Sutsu, we are going out for dinner!" he said.
"Well, I'll see you guys around..." Sutsu said as he walked off.
"What a weird guy..." Sachiko said disgusted.
As they turned to leave, Zukuto stopped to face Sachi once more.
"By the way, would you three like to join us?" he asked.
Sutsu whipped around. Why does he want her to come? he said to himself. Sachi brightened up immediatly.
"FOOD! Oh hell yes, I'm starving!" she exclaimed. "Come on Zinan, Jiro, it's time to eat!"
They all smile and approach Zukuto and Sutsu. As they reach the door to the outside a voice is heard from down the hall.
"Oni-chan!"
They all turned to find Toroku running after them. Sachi's face was, again, hard and angered at the sound of 'Oni-chan.' She didn't comment but Zukuto could feel the hatred flowing from her.
"Hey guys," he said. "I'll join you for some food. Hope you don't mind."
"Why not," Sutsu said sarcastically. "The more the merrier..."
Zukuto nudged him and they continued outside. The group walked through the village lead by Zukuto. As they walked he pointed out the sites to see there. Once as they walked, a man lost his balance and fell losing his grip on a large beam of wood. The wood plumeted through the air toward a young boy sitting playing in the dirt. He looked up to see it falling toward him. In the blink of an eye Zukuto stood before him, clutching the beam in his hands. He walked over to the man and helped him up. The man thanked him and took the beam. Zukuto went back to the young boy and spoke with him. After talking he smiled and rubbed his head before rejoining the group.
"He's fast," Toroku whispered to Sachi. "And he has a good heart. You make wise choices in friends, Oni-chan."
"Shall we continue?" he asked as if nothing happened.
He led them down the street. He walked up to a building and motioned for them to come in as well. He walked in and was greeted by the owner. He shook his hand and he gave them a large table across the room. Zukuto stood next to it and motioned for eveyone to take their seats. Everyone sat down in the chairs and put down their things. Zukuto grabbed a chair and sat down with everyone again. The owner came by with a tea kettle and some cups. He set them down in the middle of the table. Zukuto thanked him and poured himslef some hot tea. Everyone followed in suit and relaxed in the restaurant.
"So, Sachi was it? What is your guys's background? Why are you here?"
(I'm here, please forgive my ignorance to Naruto...)
The forest was calm where he sat. All was quiet except for the small brook that sang as it ran over the smooth rocks. Tashi decided that this serene place was one of the most relaxing places he had traveled to yet. I have nothing left to teach you Tashi, but your lessons do not end here. The world holds all the lessons one could hope to find. You just have to find and understand them. His sensei had said these words when he had last seen him. Tashi left that very day, never looking back.
He had been in the forest for almost a month now, taking only what he needed and learning the ways of untouched nature. Now that he had established a connection with the forest he thought it was time to leave to somewhere else. He always stayed just long enough to understand, then was off traveling somewhere new. "But where to go, I suppose co-" Something rustled through the underbrush, disturbing his thoughts. He stood up and looked into the direction it came from. It didn't sound like an animal.
Pulling a shuriken out from his sash he crept over to where he could vaguely see the outlines of someone else. Cautiously moving aside a stray branch that blocked his view he saw two kids that looked to be roughly his age. "They probably aren’t a threat, just two lost kids." he said to himself as he continued to stare at them. The male bent down next to the brook and started to fill a canteen up. "Yes probably lost." he concluded then replaced the shuriken where it should be.
Stepping out into the open he held his arms out as a gesture that he meant no harm then spoke calmly, "not many people come out here; in fact you two are the first that I've seen. My name is Matsumi Tashi and if you need help perhaps I can lend assistance." he said with a smile as he folded his hands behind his back. Seeing the males’ bandages he couldn't happen to be curious about them, maybe he could ask him later.
(OK this post sucks I know, don't bring it to my attention because...I already know.)
(OOC: This is a joint post with Erbis, btw)
The blue-haired boy simply stood there, gaping at the sudden appearance of the second boy, so Kaori was the one to respond.
"My name is Kaori Kawashima." She said. "And this is Nakatsu Tsuiyoko. Do you happen to know where we are?"
~
Tashi let a crooked grin spread across his face. "Quite simply Kaori," The raven haired boy said as he took a step closer. "We are in the middle on nowhere, but the middle of nowhere happens to be relatively close to the waterfall village."
Noticing their disheveled appearance “You two look like you had it rough getting here.”
~
"Well, to be honest we only just met." Kaori confessed. "So I don't know exactly what Nakatsu's story is." Her tone of voice made it clear she wasn't going to tell hers anytime soon. Luckily, Nakatsu found his voice.
"I ran away from my village." He explained. "I got very badly hurt, and walked until I ran into Kaori here." Kaori smirked slightly.
"That's right; I saved your life, too, if I remember correctly." Nakatsu sighed and rolled his eyes.
~
"Isn’t that cute," he said in a somewhat sardonic tone. Changing the subject, "In my case, I chose to be here. It’s somewhat of an on-going lesson for me. However I have gathered what I need to here, so I will be leaving within a couple days. I plan to go to the village before I set out again for supplies and such; you two are welcome to join me. That is, unless you enjoy being out in this forest, injured as you are." He flashed a disarming smile.
~
Kaori flushed angrily. "Cute? I didn't MEAN to save the idiot--" Nakatsu frowned and stepped in front of her, abruptly cutting her off.
"Yeah, we should probably go with you. I mean, I won't die from these wounds, but they should probably be seen you by a professional." Kaori thought a moment, and nodded.
"All right; I'll go along too. I need some more supplies anyhow."
