A young man in his fifth year tore past the painting of the fat lady so roughly that by the time she was cursing him he was already running up the stairwell to the dorm. He ran across the room and tore open the bed curtains of one of the beds.
“Andrew, Andrew wake up.” He shouted waking the other boys as well.
Andrew sat bolted upright. “What the hell’s with you?” he asked sounding very indignant.
“Oh God Andrew it’s Gwyddion. He’s all bloodied, his face is swollen and bleeding and there’s blood on the floor. Three Slytherin guys they pummelled him something bad. He’s on the floor on the second corridor. He’s all limp, someone said he was dead. Kade’s there and others, it’s really bad Andrew. Someone’s gone to get Dumbledore.”
Andrew flew out off bed and just slipped on a T-shirt and pants but no socks or shoes and ran down the stairs past the still indignant fat lady. Andrew raced down from Gryffindor Tower shouting at students to get out of the way. He raced down the stairs from the third corridor to the second in three steps and turned the corner. Teachers had not yet arrived but Kade was at Andrews’s side. Kade just shook his head when Andrew knelt down beside him.
“Who did this? Andrew asked Kade in a very resentful and angry tone speaking quietly. “How could this happen?”
“He was alone… he left the hall and no one noticed… he was with me but none of us saw him go. It was Slytherins… three seventh years, we had a run in with them earlier. They must have been waiting in there.” Kade pointed to the tapestry. “I know who it was, I drove them off but to late.”
Andrew reached out and touched Gwyn’s shoulder. Gwyn twitched violently at his touch. The blood on the floor had congealed though Gwyn’s nose still bleed slightly.
Andrew leaned over and whispered in Gwyn’s ear. “Hey mate we’re here for ya. It’s over Gwyn but we’ll gettem. Don’t worry everything’s going to be alright, help is coming, Dumbledore’s coming, it’ll be alright.”
Gwyn was still shivering and moaned. Andrew was without his cape, he looked around and pointed at a tall student. “You give me your cape.” The boy hesitated. “I’m a prefect, now give me your damn cape.” The young man unfastened it handed it over. “Someone get the headmaster’
Kade had laid his cape over Gwyn and Andrew placed the Ravenclaw cape on top. Andrew looked around. “Where’s the bloody help?” Andrew shouted in frustration. Emily came over to Andrew and had him and Kade move out of the way.
Don't be stupid," She said breathlessly, waving her wand. "Locomotor Gwyddion" She wasn't entirely sure the spell would work
The spell worked perfectly.

Megan stared down at Gwyddion, lying still but for the shallow rise and fall of his chest in the slim hospital wing bed.
He hadn't defended himself.
She glanced over at his wand lying on the nightstand nearby. Was he unable to, or did he chose not too? Megan's earlier musings encouraged her to believe the latter. But, in retrospect, they seemed a sadistic and pathetic expectation. The Slytherin boys were whole-heartedly out to hurt Gwyddion. She had known that from the start. And yet they had asked, scolded, this boy to do things the Hogwarts way.
Perhaps he had tried to work things out the way they wanted him too. To try his hand at diplomacy, instead of the physical self-defense the situation called for. Perhaps they had judged too soon.
... Perhaps she had judged too soon.
She sighed and turned away.
There was no getting past it. The Slytherin boys had declared war, and that wasn't exactly something Gryffindors would shy away from. The only problem was, classes.
Megan herself had a Defense Against the Dark Arts class starting in about fifteen minutes. Slytherin would have to wait. And to the groups' greatest regret, so would Gwyddion.
When the mob of students was finally driven from the hospital wing, Megan took her place between Emily and Andrea as they all walked out together. She had seen Andrea around school and in her classes enough to feel comfortable in her presence. In fact, despite their rather somber meeting, Andrea seemed to fit right in!
Something definetly had to be done about Slytherin. But they would need help. How would they decided which houses to alert, and which students to trust?

Gwyn tried slowly to open his eyes but one eye was still too swollen. He had no idea what time or day it was. There was a figure standing over him and slowly as the one eye came into focus he could make out the figure of Professor Dumbledore. He was smiling pleasantly down at Gwyn.
“Welcome back Gwyddion” He said as he took a chair and sat down beside him. “Well you have certainly made quite an entrance into Hogwarts, I’m sure your name is rather well known by now.” His facial features change and became more serious.
“Do you know who the three boys were who did this to you?”
Gwyn tried to talk but his voice was weak and it hurt. He had taken a kick to his throat. He shook his head slowly and tried to say no.
“I very much doubted that you would. The young men in question have been dealt with. They have been removed from Hogwarts for a period of time and when they return, they will not be seen outside of their classes. The Slytherin Quidditch team also has three openings.” His facial features softened. “You have made some good friends Gwyddion. Were it not for the actions of Mr. Adair things may have been more serious." His face grew serious again. "Gwyddion, I am well aware of the difficulties you faced in your first year at Durmstrang. I am also aware of what happened that April. As cowardly as this act was I am asking you to restrain yourself Gwyddion. I have already spoken with Mr. Adair and Mr. McDonald and asked them to restrain themselves also. With the three young men in question away from the castle I’m hoping it will defuse the situation and allow you to heal and focus on your lessons. Our healer says that she will have most of your wounds taken care of today and if all goes well you will join your classmates in your common room sometime tomorrow. Though as we speak Mr. McDonald waits to come in and see you. I think you’ll likely be seeing several others friends this afternoon. You’re excused from classes for the remainder this week unless you feel well enough and choose to go.”
The doors to the hospital ward opened and Gwyddion’s parents walked up quickly to his bedside. Dumbledore spoke with them for a few minutes away from his bed and then took his leave. Much to the annoyance of Gwyddion the healer flittered around him dabbing on ointments, which he hated, on his face, back and stomach while his parents were there. His parents brought up the question of Gwyddion remaining at Hogwarts but he was adamant that he was staying, and leaving was something he would not even consider. Besides, the revenge had to be planned out with his friends, in spite of what Dumbledore had said. Though what sort of revenge was to take place still had to be thought through. Gwyddion's parent left after nearly an hour and Andrew finally came in. Gwyn was tired but glad to have his friend by his side.
Andrew was frustrated and his first words were not ones of comfort. "What the hell do you think you were doing leaving the Great Hall alone, especially after what happened. I'd like to throttle you myself if I though it would do you any good."
Gwyn smiled and raised his hand, the two boys clench their hands together in a fist handshake.
"It had to be done” he managed to whisper before fatigue took him and he fell asleep.

((OOC: Pink is the colour I will use for quoting ppl)) Andrea was in a daze. Her head was swimming and the headache she had woken up with hadn't got any better. The events of the morning had left her with quite a lot to think about. After she had so bluntly notified Emily and her friends about Gwyddion, she rushed back upstairs after them to make sure he was all right. Afterward, he was taken to the Hospital Wing; Andrea noted his wand on the ground. One of the girls saw it too and grabbed it for Gwyddion. Unsure of what to do, she followed the others and the floating, unconscious Gwyddion. All the people around him were in a panic and all thinking the same thing: what happened and why was Gwyddion alone? Throb. Andrea stopped walking and closed her eyes for a moment. Damn headache, just leave me be for awhile! When she opened her eyes again, the group was nowhere to be seen. Must have rounded a corner she thought, and walked on. When she finally came to the Hospital Wing a group of people, all Gryffindors, came bounding around a corner and burst through the wooden doors, she followed behind. Everyone she had seen earlier was now crowded around Gwyddion’s bed. Uncertain about what to do she stood off to the side, vaguely listening to what the matron was saying. She was relieved to here that he would be better by tomorrow. He was lucky they didn’t use any magic. Standing alone, she now contemplated whether she should go stand with the others. How she would really like to meet them, if they had be-friended him so fast, and cared for him this much, then maybe they would consider friending her. She watched the others, worried and nervous about what to do when Emily noticed her standing alone. They made eye contact and Emily waved her over. She went and stood beside her."I wanted to see if he would be okay," She said in a rush, "I mean, we're not friends, but I-"
"It's fine," Emily said with a smile. That smile told Andrea she was welcome to be with them. "You know Sean already," she said, gesturing towards one of the boys, "And Kade, Charlie, Megan, and Andrew are all Gryffindors, though you probably know them from class."
“Yeah,” Andrea said, "Though not very well." There was a brief silence, until Megan spoke.
"You know,” she said to everyone, “I think Emily may be right. We should pay the Slytherins a visit."Throb.“Just a sec.” She whispered to Emily. She approached the nurse and asked if there was anything she could do about her headache. *** A strange green headache potion and 20 minutes later, Emily, Megan and Andrea were heading off to the Great Hall, for Andrea hadn’t yet eaten and then it was off to Defence Against the Darks Arts. It was almost 8:30, so they had time. Andrea couldn’t remember ever being quite this happy, except of course the time she received her letter from Hogwarts. But this feeling was different. She had friends! It would be so nice sitting in class, not in the back of the room alone, but with friends! Her emotions defiantly showed, in her personality yes, but more so in her Metamorphmagusing. Her hair went from black to electric blue, and the worst part was she didn’t notice! She was getting strange looks from almost everyone, only to think it was because of her out burst in the Great Hall earlier, but she didn’t care. She was happy and now she had great friends. Hopefully now the future would hold more positive things like this…or perhaps, revenge.

Emily walked into the Great hall with Megan and Andrea, still thinking about what had happened to Gwyddion earlier. There was no doubt that something was wrong with the Slytherin house this year. They had always been somewhat surly, and quick to fight if they thought they had been wronged - but they had never gone out looking for trouble in a way that was this obvious before. Something was brewing.
She glanced over at the Slytherin table. Though she would rather have died than admitted it, she grew up with some of them. Some of the ones with their noses highest in the air staring at the Gryffindors and muggleborns as though they were scum. However, as she looked them over, she knew that they would have to be talked to, and that it had better be sooner rather than later. She sighed.
"I'll catch you up later - there's someone I have to talk to." Emily said with an apologetic look at Megan and Andrea. "Save me a seat?" They nodded.
"Where are you going?" Megan asked.
"I'll tell you when I get back," And with that, Emily turned and walked out of the great hall, scanning the corridors. Ah-ha. There, in a group of Slytherins - containing one of the boys that attacked Gwyddion. She stopped in front of them and cleared her throat loudly. They stopped.
"Canis, I want a word." She said loudly, chin high so she was giving the impression of staring down her nose at them. Her hands were on her hips, one leg supporting her weight, the other slightly in front of her. It was an easy stance to adopt - how many times had she acted like a snotty little brat in her youth to get what she wanted? A boy with long black hair and brown eyes stepped out of the group, waving them on.
Emily had known Canis Knight for most of her life - he was one of the now-slytherins that she had been introduced to as a small child. Of course, her family being pure-blooded, they had arranged regular playdates between Emily and several other kids her age. Mostly they had played muggles and wizards (In which the muggles bumbled around stupidly and died dramatic deaths) while Emily read quietly in a corner. Childhood was not the happiest time in Emily's life.
Unfortunately, her mother was extremely fond of Canis - his mother, Roxanne Knight, was in her close circle of friends. And thus they had been forced to play together quite a bit in Emily's years before Hogwarts, and were generally forced to endire each other's company during the holidays. At school, however, Emily liked to pretend there was no Canis Knight.
"I'm shocked," He drawled. "I thought that after what happened at your mother's birthday party you were never going to speak to me again." She waved this off.
"Like I said, I want a word."
"What about?"
"What's going on in the dungeons?" She had always been one to get right to the point. "My friend was attacked by some of your cronies, for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Now, Slytherins may be prissy pampered idiots, but they aren't stupid and they aren;t reckless. What are you playing at?"
"Ah, now that would be telling." She glared.
"I thought I'd try, at least. Anyhow, I know you're not the ringleader of all of this - you're not important enough, obviously - but we're going to discuss this."
"I believe we already are."
"Not you and me - your gang of troublemakers - Your whole house, if need be - and anyone who thinks you're wrong." He raised his eyebrows.
"You know, if I wrote to your mother about this, think how disappointed she'll be. She was so hoping we would get married and have her grandchildren."
"When hell freezes over." Emily spat.
"My thoughts exactly - any children of yours would be mad anyhow." Emily turned to walk into the Hall again.
"But remember what I said - one more incident - one more whiper of trouble - and you're going to get your collective hand slapped." And with that, she strode into the Hall and over to Gryffindor table.

Kade hardly noticed as Emily sat down next to Megan. He was staring blankly at the table thinking very hard about what Sytherin could possibly be up to.
Why is Gwyn such a threat to them, he asked himself. Why do they only target him?
"Kade," Emily said. "Are you alright?" Kade looked up.
"Oh, yeah. I'm fine," Kade said. "Just thinking."
Emily nodded. "Me too. I just want to know what Slytherin is planning."
"As well as I," Kade said. "Do you think it has to do anything with Quidditch?"
"I don't think Slytherin would make such a big deal about Quidditch," Emily responded. "Thopugh I think we should probably warn the other houses, like Hufflepuff, about what might happen. Just in case."
"Agreed," Kade said. "I know a few people in Huflepuff that could get the word around."
"Ok," Emily said. "I'll tell the Ravenclaws who don't know what's happening about Slytherin and to be wary around them."
"Hey," Megan said. "Sorry to interupt but what class do we have next?"

((OOC: Joint post from Thalion and Alex. Thalion is white, and Alex is pink.))
When Gwyn woke the sun was almost down and Andrew had left at some time earlier. He reached up and touched the area around his eyes and suddenly realised that both eyes were open. The area around the eyes was tender but there had certainly been much improvement. His hand ached and felt stiff, likely from being stomped. He could feel plasters on his face but for the most part things seemed much better. He tried rolled over but stopped short and winced. A sharp pain in his lower right back forced him back. He must have cried out or said something because he was sure he caught a glimpse of someone moving in a shadow as though they were startle by cry.
“Andrew,” he said softly his throat still raw. “Andrew, Kade… who’s there?”
“Gwyddion?”
Andrea had just entered the Hospital Wing. Her hair was still electric blue and long, although she still hadn’t noticed.
“How are you doing?” she asked.
Andrea was expecting the look of confusion on his face. He wouldn’t have remembered her when she found him. She let out a sigh.
“Gwyddion, my name is Andrea. I’m the one who found you after the Slytherins left you bleeding on the floor. I don’t expect you to remember me, but I know you saw me earlier, you reached out to me…” She left the sentence hanging.
A girl’s voice. Gwyddion didn’t know the voice and at first he had no idea what she was talking about. He rested his head back and tried to remember. After a moment or two he recalled seeing a blurred image.
“Oh yea I do remember someone… you were all blurred and I couldn’t make you out. I guess I have you to thank for help arriving as quickly as it did. Thank you Andrea.”
He started coughing because of the rawness in his throat and nearly double up from the sharp pain in his ribs. At first he gasped for breath and then the pain settled. “I’m sorry you’ll have to come closer” He waited for her to come to his bedside and then noticed the Ravenclaw robes and blue hair.
“You’re from Ravenclaw.” He said in a hoarse whisper. “I see you’ve done your hair to match. Do you know Emily? She’s in Ravenclaw; she has a friend in Gryffindor, Megan’s her name.”
“Wait a moment…my hair to match?”
Andrea grabbed a lock of hair and examined it…It was electric blue!
“Whoa!” she exclaimed. This was the first time she realised her hair was blue. “That’s interesting. I didn’t realise my powers could be effected by my emotions” she thought aloud. “Just hang on a sec.”
Just before she closed her eyes Gwyddion gave her an inquiring look and started, “Your powers…?”
Andrea’s nose wrinkled and she opened her eyes and grabbed a lock of hair once more; it was no longer blue, but black once again.
“That’s better! What do you think?”
Gwyddion gave her a look of total confusion before smiling.
“Ahh, you’re Metamorphmagus. I’ve only ever heard about that power, never seen anyone with such a gift! You did that very well.” he commented.
“Thanks. You’re looking a lot better than earlier. Oh, it scared me when I saw you lying there all covered in blood. I panicked. Unfortunately I let every student in the Great Hall know what happened. For that, I am sorry.”
She looked over him.
“Your eye is much less swollen now, and the bruising has gone down too!”
The Matron returned to the ward from having dinner and saw Gwyn was awake and had company.
“I’m sorry Miss, but I have further treatments to give this young man and I must end this visit.” The Matron bustles about and brings a tray to Gwyn’s bedside and brightens the light
“I appreciate you coming to see me. Thank you.” Gwyn smiled.
Andrea smiled warmly back. “It was great meeting you!” She was half way to the door. “Oh, and by the way,” Three quarters. “Call me Andi!” Head poking out of the doorway. “It’s what Emily and Megan call me!” And with that, she walked off to the Great Hall for dinner.

“Well now that your awake I have two potions you must drink, and I want to see to those nasty welts on your back." Matron walks to Gwyn's bed side.
Gwyn shuddered at the thought of having to take potions and his anxiety level didn’t come down when Matron approached carrying two beakers, one of which appeared to be smoking.
“Drink this and you may just make it out of here tomorrow morning.” She said sternly holding out the smoking beaker.
Matron handed Gwyn the beaker from her tray then she helped him sit up to drink it, it was much the same process for the second beaker. What ever it was in those breakers it felt as though he drank tacks and he became quite nauseated though passed quickly.
“Can’t you do something about my throat?” He asked in his hoarse whisper.
“Your injuries young man are none magical and sometimes they are only partly healed by magic and need time to be heal on their own. What I can do, I will do. It will take some time and you may still feel some pain and a little discomfort. It should only be a few days more. Now I want you to rest and we’ll see about getting you out of here in the morning.” She smiled down at him.
“How long will everything take, the healing I mean Matron? Professor Dumbledore wanted me to try out for the Gryffindor Quidditch team and the try outs are coming up soon.” asked Gwyn.
“It will take as long as it takes young man, and that will in part be up to you. I have told you already that your wounds are not magical and they will take some time.” Matron handed Gwyn a sleeping draft that she waited for him to drink before returning to her office.
Gwyn woke just before the sun crested the hills behind Hogwarts and lit the lake area and forbidden forest, it was just after 7am. He felt remarkably better. The swelling in his hands and face had gone down though a couple of ribs made their presents known when he tried to reach for his wand. He wanted out the hospital wing in the worst way. There was no way he would spend a minute longer here than the Slytherin boys he had spent. he wouldn’t give them the pleasure of knowing that. He wondered for a moment if the bed he had been in was occupied by one of them. This thought suddenly consumed him and he wanted out of the bed now. He threw off his sheets and swung his legs over the edge of the bed and found himself on the floor.
He had expected his legs would be as they always were but they buckled. Rib and back pain had overwhelmed him and Matron’s words about non-magical wounds came back to him all be it to late. He crawled to a chair and slowly pulled himself up and sat. At nearly the same moment the two wooden doors to the ward opened, Andrew and Megan walked in. At first glance they were glad to see him up but that change quick enough.
“Your bleeding… what the bloody hell have you done to yourself.” Andrew sounded annoyed.
“I’m going for Matron” Megan said and turned to walk off.
“Megan please don’t… just leave it, it’s nothing. I just wasn’t prepared when I stood up… you know my head spun a bit and I took a tumble. It’s nothing.” He tried to put a brave smile on but Andrew glared at the goose egg on his head and said nothing.
“Hey thanks for coming. I’m glad to see you Megan.” He smiled at her. “So am I getting out of here? He asked sounding more cheery.
“Well Matron told us to check with her.” Megan said, “I thought she’d be here by now”
“Oh she was earlier but she thought I was sleeping.” Gwyn replied truthfully. “I just want to get out of here. There’s nothing more Matron can do, she said as much last night.” He looked at the two of them. “Look all I want to do is go back to the dorm alright?
Megan and Andrew looked at each other then helped Gwyn put on a housecoat and grabbed his belongings. Gwyn insisted on walking though he needed a little help from both of his friends, it was slow going with frequent stops.
“Gwyn why did you leave the Great Hall alone?” Megan asked while they stopped. “You must have known Slytherin was planning something after what happen with Kade?” Gwyn tried to look innocent.” I also heard what you said to Andrew, “It had to be done” What did you mean by that? Megan and Andrew had discussed Gwyn’s comment and their suspicions had been arouse
“I said that? Gwyn said trying to sound surprised. “I couldn’t of been thinking to clearly, I could of said anything. Look Megan, I don’t know if they jumped me because of the other day or if it was what Kade did. The Legilimency may have just been an excuse to pay me back or there might be something else going on, I haven’t a clue.” Gwyn’s hoarse throat returned and talking became all the harder and turned into a whisper. “I’ll be honest with you about this Megan, this is far from over, and those weren’t my words, but, I agree with them.”
“And of course you’ll be in the thick if it won’t you?” Megan’s tone was sharp. “What’s next, another beating, finding you in another pool of blood? Some people though you were dead and the way you lo….” Megan’s words trailed off as she swallowed hard.
Gwyn put his hand softy on her. “Megan it doesn’t have to come to that and I don’t want it to come to that for anyone.”
“Can’t we try and find out what Slytherin is planning? Megan asked. “Emily and Kade think something more is going on, if there was just one Slytherin we could talk to.”
“All you need to do is figure out is who would know something. With Kade’s Legilimency skills you don’t need someone to talk to. He’ll have no trou…”
Gwyn’s grip on her began to slip as he sagged forward but Andrew held on and Megan helped support him. They made their way to the common room and most people who passed them now greeted Gwyn rather than just stare at him. Andrew and Megan brought him up to dorm and helped him into his own bed. He thanked Andrew and held Megan’s hand for a moment before she walked away.
“Thank you for coming this morning Megan I appreciate your help. If you got a minute sometime pop up and say hello. Oh and if Matron asks you anything you don’t know how I got here, ok. He let go of her hand and smiled at her and watched her go.

Megan retreated out of the room as calmly as she could possibly appear, past the now ignored prefect. But, she could still feel her face flush as she glanced back on her way out of the room.
Leaning back against the door, she noted how warm her hand felt where Gwyddion had touched her and chuckled quietly to herself.
"What are you doing?" Kade asked, as he stopped on his way down the hall to stare as Megan emerged from a different boy's dorm. She had visited his room before, but seeing her anywhere else on this side of Gryffindor tower, was just odd.
"Nothing!" she stuttered, jumping away from the door, literally springing to her own defense. "I just helped Andrew escort Gwyddion back to his dorm."
Kade just stared.
"Well we're going to be late for class!" she blurted out as fast as she could, before hurrying off to her own dorm to collect her school things.
~
Later on that day, Megan, Emily and Andrea trudged out of their History of Magic class, after a grueling day of lectures.
"Why am I in this class again?" Megan groaned dramatically, bumping playfully into Andrea as her end-of-class adrenaline kicked in. Spending an entire period completely bored to tears, could do that to the little Gryffindor.
She couldn't think of any possible reason to take that class! It wasn't as if she'd remember any of it. The professor droned on and on, not even really noticing when any of his students fell asleep, Megan being one of them. Emily had been appalled by this sort of behavior, and had rapped Megan sharply on the head as punishment.
"Well that was the last class of the day, so be happy!" scolded Emily, disgusted by Megan's lack of a thirst for knowledge.
"You Ravenclaws are all the same! Happy when your nose is in a book, and grumpy the second its not."
This seemed to draw scowls from both Emily and Andrea, which only encouraged Megan. Someone else in the world was miserable along with her, and that was all that mattered for the moment.
The trio did not walk with any enthusiasm thanks to Megan. Their only comfort was the private study session in the library before dinner. Again, Megan had to assume that this was a Ravenclaw thing.
But, she agreed to come anyway, if only for the companionship... and the fact that if she passed the boys' dormitory with anyone anytime soon, she would probably end up blushing for the rest of the afternoon. Megan did not need to give her Ravenclaw friends a chance to mock her.
"Hey guys, I need to stop back at the common room. I forgot one of my text books." Megan muttered as they neared Griffindor tower.

Before Megan could give the Fat Lady the password to get into Gryffindor Tower, they heard a small explosion take place on the other side of the portrait, and sudden yells. Megan, panicked, shouted the password, and the portrait swung open. Immediately, the three girls were hit in the face with a strong stench. Emily clapped a hand over her nose, unprepared for the assault on her senses. She peered around Megan to look into the room, and saw what the problem was instantly:
The Gryffindor common room was entirely coated in stinksap. It covered chairs, tables, books, and the unlucky few who had been inside when the explosion of stinksap had happened. It would almost have been funny if she wasn;t positive it was more than just a practical joke.
"Scourgify!" cried Megan, pointing her want at the nearest person. The disgusting liquid cleared away, leaving Kade standing in front of them, looking thoroughly baffled, if clean once more. "What happened?" She asked him, looking around at everyone, who were now following her example and cleaning up the common room.
"I...dunno..." Kade said, "It just sort of exploded out of nowhere. It must have been a trap set by someone..." He frowned, looking around, "And three guesses who."
"Slytherins," Andrea replied quickly, climbing through the portrait hole and casting scourgify on anything in her line of sight. Emily started to follow, but thought better of it, and ducked outside and stood in front of the Fat Lady, who was looking very irritable at being left wide open.
"What's going on in there that you lot can't even be bothered to close the portrait hole?" She snapped.
"The common room's been covered in stinksap," Emily said. "You haven't let anyone in that's not supposed to be, have you?" The Fat Lady frowned.
"I never let anyone in who doesn't have the password!" She exclaimed haughtily and refused to say another word on the subject. Emily had to admit defeat, and climbed back into the room, closing the portrait behind her. She got out her wand to help with the remaining stinksap, but was stopped by a sudden cry:
"Stop right there!"
Emily looked around; A fifth-year Gryffindor she barely recognized was pointing an accusing finger at her, and including Andrea in his disgruntled glare.
"You're not in Gryffindor - what were you doing in the common room?"
"Helping you lot clean up!" Andrea said immediately, looking vaguely irked.
"Right." He said, turning on Emily, "But Justin here just informed me he saw you chatting with a group of slytherins yesterday." His friend - Justin - had walked up to join him. Emily gaped at them. Kade, Megan, and Andrea gaped at her.
"It was only one!" She said indignantly.
"It was, to be fair." Justin told his friend.
"Well be that as it may, we can't allow anyone from the other houses in here anymore." He said, folding his arms across his chest and talking to both of them once more.
"Oi! Who put you in charge, David?" Demanded Andrew, walking down the stairs from the boys dorms. David stood his ground.
"Someone had to say something. After all, until we catch the culprit, everyone not in Gryffindor is a suspect." Andrew glared for a moment, but had to concede.
"You know I don't suspect either of you two," He said to them apologetically. Emily took a deep breath, counted to ten, and thought about how she'd feel if it were her common room covered in stinksap. She nodded. A moment later, so did Andrea. "It's just that if we're going to only allow Gryffindors in here, we shouldn't make exceptions."
"And you were at the scene of the crime," David put in.
"Shut up," Andrew snapped at him, before turning back to the girls, "Anyhow, I think you'd better just... spend time with the Gryffindors in the library or in class or something from now on. So we don't have any more misunderstandings." With this last word he shot another glare at David, who shrugged. Emily nodded again.
"Andrew," Kade began, "We all know - well, most of us anyhow - which house has to be responsible." Andrew nodded.
"Well, even so..." Emily edged towards the door, not wanting to be the subject of some sort of rift in Gryffindor. That was, after all, the very last thing any of them needed. Thankfully, Andrea must have been thinking the same thing.
"It's all right," Andrea said, forcing a grin, "Come on, Emily. I guess we'll see all of you at dinner, then!"
"See you," Megan said. Kade nodded at them.
~
They were about halfway down the corridor when the portrait of the fat lady swung open again, and the two girls heard footsteps behind them.
"Emily!" It was Charlie, scrambling out of the portrait hole and walking up to them.
"Oh dear," Andrea said, "I seem to have left my...er...something or other back in History of Magic!" And with that she left, walking fast down the hallway.
"Andi!" Emily called, but she had already turned the corner. She sighed and turned back to Charlie.
"You didn't-" He began, but she interrupted.
"No!"
"-chat with the slytherins?"
"Oh that." She said. She had thought he was going to ask her about the stinksap explosion. "Only one."
"Which?"
"Does it matter?"
"Well they're all vile," He said, "But Justin said you were talking to Canis Knight."
"Yes, I did talk with Canis." She said, feeling slightly sick of having to constantly defend herself.
"He's an absolute prat, why on earth-"
"Because I was asking him about Gwyddion!" She exclaimed, "I wanted to know what they were playing at, but he didn't tell me, so it was a waste of time anyhow - but why do you care so much who I talk to anyway?" She could feel herself flushing in anger; Charlie, at least, should know better than to think she would work alongside the slytherins. To her surprise, he promptly went bright red.
"I don't! He's just- just bad news!"
"Of course he is! I grew up with him; I know he's nothing but a complete git. I would never speak to him unless it was absolutely necessary!" Charlie went even redder, if that was possible, and nodded.
"Fine."
"Fine." She responded, but in a relieved, rather than contemptuous way. With any luck Charlie would tell David and Justin and whoever else knew about her talk with Canis that it was only about Gwyddion. She opened her mouth to suggest this, when Charlie suddenly hugged her awkwardly, before immediately leaping away as though it was she who had startled him, and fleeing through the portrait hole.
Emily was left gaping like a fish at the Fat Lady, who gave her a bawdy wink but said nothing.
"Well this is just...bloody..." Emily couldn't think of what it was, exactly, so she hoisted her bag higher on her shoulder, and rushed back to her own common room.
~
((OOC: ACK. Sorry that this post is so LONG and that I spent half of it with Emily and Charlie. But I wanted them to talk because they hadn't spoken in forevs, and then one thing led to another and they got away from me! So sorry for all the fail!))

“Gwyn…hey Gwyn.” Andrew shook his head then gave a loud whistle that finally got Gwyddion’s attention.
“You look bloody pleased with yourself.” Andrew commented.
“What, …you know how boring it is to be stuck in bed? It’s alright for you, you’re not stuck here.” Gwyn replied sounding defensive.
“Well if you’re that bored I’ll see if I can’t get you homework. That’ll keep your mind off her and other things.
“What, no bloody way! Dumbledore said no classes till Monday and in my book that includes homework. So don’t half try it mate or I’ll kick your ass when I’m up and about.” Gwyn replied jokingly.
Andrew sat on the bed next to Gwyn and the tone of their conversation changed. “So you got any yet ideas yet? I know there’s some talk going around but most are just hair brain ideas.”
“I don’t know it’s tough. With Dumbledore talking to you and Kade and me he expects something, and I don’t want to go and do something that’ll rile him up. We got to be careful. Slytherin’s going to be expecting something too and we’ve all got Slughorn for potions. We’ll get stuck doing remedial potions if we rile him up to much. What’s he like anyway?” Gwyn asked.
“Slughorn… he wouldn’t hand out remedial work, that’d mean extra work for him after classes and you won’t see him doing that. You’d be more like to get detention in the greenhouses or with the gamekeeper. That way Slughorn can still sit with his feet up and entertain Tom Riddle and members of the Slug Club.”
Gwyn looked puzzled. “The “Slug Club”, what the hell is that?”
Andrew explains about Professor Slughorn’s favourites and how he entertains them with private get togethers and parties. “All very exclusive membership, but don’t worry you won’t be there anytime soon. Anyway I got to go to class. I’ll bring you something to eat...or would you prefer Megan to bring you something?”
Gwyn could feel his ears begin to burn. “That’d be nice but I don’t think I’ll push my luck.”
“Well maybe she’ll “pop up and say hello”. Do you know how cheesy that sounded?” Andrew teased.
“Oh bugger off to your classes.” If Gwyn could have he would’ve thrown something at Andrew.
Gwyn slept until Andrew arrived with something for lunch and then slept again until a muffled explosion rocked the dorm. Gwyn sat bolt upright in bed and listened to muffled cries from downstairs. It wasn’t long before the smell of stinksap crept up into the dorm. Gwyn took his wand and put a barrier across the top of the stairwell and used his wand to open the window. It took a minute before Gwyn realised that he had just sat up and that the pain was much better. Seeing no point in trying to go down the stairs in his PJs he stayed where he was and waited. Just over an hour later he heard someone coming up the stairs and quickly removed the barrier before who ever it was walked into it. It was Andrew coming up the stairs bring some dinner for Gwyn. But an obviously unhappy Andrew.
“Hey what’s up Andrew… something’s happened hasn’t it?” Gwyn asked.
“Ya something’s happened and it’s not good.” Andrew explained the stinksap bombs which in themselves weren’t something to loose sleep over because everyone knew Slytherin was behind it. The fact that Slytherin was able to get into the common room was serious but when Andrew told Gwyn about the accusations made by “that mental git David” even Gwyn blew up.
“There’s no bloody way that Emily and Andrea had anything to do with it! That prat doesn’t have the brains to think his way out of a paper bag.”
Things didn’t get much better when Andrew explained the conversation that Emily had with the Slytherin boy and that he had to ask Emily and Andrea not to come to the Gryffindor common room anymore. For a minute Gwyn didn’t say a thing.
“It’s all because of me and my loosing it on Tuesday. Everything’s because of that and you and I know it! I’ve really cocked things up good and proper. Oh god what must Megan think of me now? Emily’s one of her best mate’s, I never even thought of her as a Ravenclaw.” All joy Gwyn had felt since the morning just left him. He fell back onto his pillows.
“No this isn’t just because of Tuesday Gwyn, they turned on you first, and nothing justified what they did yesterday. Emily believes there’s something more to this and I think she’s right, so do Megan and Kade and I’m sure Andrea feels that way too. There’s something more to all this.” Andrew pauses for a moment and stares at Gwyn. “You really care about her don’t you?”
Gwyn looks up. “Ya I think I do.” A moment of silence goes by then Gwyn looks up and smiles. “I need you and Kade to find out how much dragon’s dung the greenhouses use and where it’s kept. I’ve got an idea.”

((OOC: oh its my turn now? cool))
Kade and Andrew walked to the Greenhouse from the castle. Andrew looked around for any stray Slytherin as they went.
"Their aren't any Andrew, don't worry," Kade said scratching the back of his head. "Why are we out here again?"
"Gwyn wanted us to find out how much Dragon dung the Greenhouse used. I think he wanted you to come so we wouldn't e followed by any Slytherin wanting to exact revenge."
Kade yawned. "That's all well and good but what does he need Dragon dung for?"
"Think about what you just said," Andrew said. Kade thought and then his eyes went wide.
"Oooo! Well let's not keep him waiting!" Kade said now brimming with excitement.
They reached the Greenhouse and walked inside. Nobody was there save for a house elf cleaning off some of the tables. Kade approached the house elf and tapped him on the shoulder. The house elf shrieked and jumped. It then whipped around with wide eyes panting with nervousness. When he noticed it was a few students he relaxed and took a few deep breaths.
"Don't scare Scooper like that!" it said grabbing its chest. "What can Scooper help you with?"
"Um," Kade tried to find the best words to use but when he couldn't think of anything to make it sound better he just said, "Scooper, how much Dragon feces do you have lying around?" Andrew chuckled.
"Well," the house elf said looking over a small clipboard on the table, "It appears Scooper has five rather large sacks in the shed outside that Scooper doesn't use. It is really stinky, it made Scooper faint once. Why would you young master want this?"
"Oh no reason," Andrew said quickly. "It's for a, uh," he nudged Kade. Kade gave him an angry look and then smiled at the house elf.
"It's for a project in potions and one of the ingredients Professor Slughorn told us to find was any extra Dragon dung that may be in the Greenhouse. It's kind of a 'secret ingredient' so it'd be best if no one found out about it," Kade lied.
The house elf perked up and 'zipped his mouth shut.' "Scooper understands. Let Scooper just get you the key." With that, the house elf vanished in a cloud of smoke with a loud pop. Kade high fived Andrew.
"Too easy."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kade and Andrew walked away from the greenhouse, their faces buried in their sleeves, with their wands outstretched to five bags of floating brown sacks. The sacks steamed and let off a foul oder that made Kade and Andrew's eyes burn.
"Good lord mate," Kade said. "I can't take much more of this."
"Well where are we going to put it?" Andrew asked.
Kade put his wand down and his three sacks plopped down on the ground in front of them. Andrew did the same and looked questioningly at Kade. "Hold on."
Kade reached out with his mind and looked for something in the castle. He looked until he found Gwyn. He touched Gwyn's mind with his own and sent him a message.
Mission accomplished. Where do you want this stuff?
((Ok Thalion, go ahead with the next part. I guess anyone else could go but don't interfere with this part *per request of Thalion*))
Knowing only a little of the vast layout of the inside of Hogwarts and nothing of the outdoors, Gwyddion was at a loss where to hide the dragon dung. He had not yet thought the plan through and until he figured out how to package it and deliver it, it had to remain hidden. Andrew and Kade hid the five bags outdoors behind a mass of ivy close to a window of a disused first floor classroom.
It was just after seven that evening and Andrew and Kade were in the dorm explaining the procuring of the five bags and where they were. Gwyn needed to see the dung and cast a disillusionment and another two spells to keep it completely out of sight should someone try to find the source of the smell. Gwyn sat up and got out of bed with a minimal amount of pain and stood holding himself by one of his bedposts.
Andrew didn’t like Gwyn’s determination “This isn’t a good idea mate, it’s safe enough where it is and your spells can wait.”
“I don’t want anyone knowing about this beyond the three of us, can either of you do the three spells?” Neither of the boys had had any instructions in the spells yet and weren’t even sure if one of them was taught at Hogwarts. “Well it’s down to me then, you gonna help me or not?”
The hand Gwyddion needed was to get dressed. It was a slow process, his ribs giving him most of the trouble, which made bending, twisting or pulling still fairly painful. His biggest shock was when he looked in a mirror the first time. His eyes were both black and one was all dilated and red, Matron had healed the cuts to his face and his broken nose but the skin was still red where each cut had been. Gwyddion smiled at his reflection.
“I’ll get my pound of flesh for this.” He said under his breath with bitterness creeping in. “The three Slytherin blokes came out from behind a tapestry. Is there any way we can cut through a passage or something? I’d like to not be seen just yet.
There was more than one passage that could be taken and both Andrew and Kade were familiar with them. Before they left the dorm Andrew handed something to Gwyddion.
“Matron called me out of class to her office morning. She wasn’t to pleased with your disappearance from the ward, actually she was rather pissed about it and said she had sent a note to Dumbledore. She handed me this and I’m to tell you use it.” Andrew holds out a walking stick for Gwyddion to take. He takes the stick and drops it on the bed.
“Ppfffffff, I’m not using that thing, I’m not some bloody cripple.” Gwyn said cynically not even looking at it again. “Let’s go.”
The three of them did not make it out past the fat lady without being seen but the hidden passages they used had no one in them. Getting to the unused classroom was not as quick or simple as Gwyn had thought and he thought of the cane back on his bed several times. When Kade opened the classroom window the sulphurous smell just hit them in the face.
“Ruddy hell that’s rank.” Kade said stepping away from the window making a face. “What exactly are you planning? I mean it’s obvious but how are you going to do it?”
Gwyddion looked out the window at the well hidden sacks then looked around to see if anyone was about. Seeing no one he took his wand and began to mutter three spells then wave his wand and finished with a stabbing motion in the direction of the bags, almost right away the smell disappeared along with the bags.
“We can’t do anything today and tomorrows Friday so we have to wait until Monday for it to happen. I’ve just figured out how to package and deliver it and we can use the weekend to get the supplies we need and get it ready for Monday. I’ve used the same method at Durmstrang.” Gwyddion’s energy suddenly seemed to drain and he became nauseous. Back in the hidden passageways they had to stop at the top of each stairwell for Gwyn. Not far from where the passageway opened up to the Gryffindor corridor near the Fat Lady they heard someone coming down the stairs. Megan came into sight and walked down to them with a scowl on her face. The three boys just looked at each other.
“Just out for a stroll were you.” She said very tartly “Here” she handed Gwyddion the cane. “Dumbledore said it was yours. He was glad to see you were up and about… ill-advised in his opinion.” She glared at the three of them.
The boys looked at each other. No one would have ever expected Dumbledore would come to the common room or a dorm for that matter.
“It’s my fau-” Gwyddion started but Megan cut him off. “Oh I have no doubt of that, but the two of you should know better.” She glares at Andrew and Kade “Come on.” She stands beside Gwyddion as they move on to the next set of stairs.
“You can tell me what you’re up to when we reach the dorm.” Nobody said a word until Gwyn was sitting on a chair beside his bed. Megan sat on his bedside. She looked the three of them over. “Ok what’s going on?”
Andrew starts. “There are five bags of dragon dung hidden outside of Trimbles old classroom.”
Kade follows. “Andrew and I got them from the greenhouses and hid them behind an ivy bush, then Gwyn cast some kind of spells so they can’t be seen or smelled.”
She turns to Gwyddion and he starts. “I’m going to get two crates, delivery crates that come into the kitchen. I’m going to put the dung into the crates and seal them up. I’m going to label the crates, one for Gryffindor and one for Slytherin. Then we’re going to leave them where the Slytherin’s will walk past them to their dungeon. They will of coarse take both crates thinking that they’ve pulled one over on us. When either of the crates is opened they both explode. I know the spells needed, we used then rather a lot in Durmstrang. I was planning it for Monday. Anyway that’s a rough idea” He looked rather sheepishly at Megan then at the floor.
“And you thought I’d try and stop you?” she said. “Well your wrong, and I know a couple Ravenclaws who’d love to help.”
Gwyn looked up with a huge grin on his face and took her hand. “You're bloody brilliant you know that.”
(OOC We could hold back one bag of dung and do something else to Slytherin with it or add an additional different prank or two.)
((OOC: Sorry guys, I haven't posted for a LONG time and this one probably isn't great. Hopefully the next one will be.)) Thursday. It had only been two days since the arrival of Gwyn, and so much had happened in those two days that it had left Andrea almost completely drained. Enough had happened to fill a month. But the most imprinted incident in her mind was that Emily and herself were no longer aloud in the Gryffindor common room. A huge stinksap explosion had occurred right when Megan, Emily and Andi had walked in. Of course, the Gryffindors decided that neither Emily nor Andi could go into the Gryffindor common room because they were the possible planners of the explosion both being from Ravenclaw. When both they girls were told they no longer had the privilege of visiting the Gryffindor common room, a bubbling fury erupted inside of Andi. How could they possibly blame us for that explosion? Everyone knows it was the Slytherins! Just because Emily and I walked in right when it happened doesn’t prove anything! Honestly! People should use the friggin’ common sense that most people have! She found herself thinking this every time the issue came up. It must be resolved soon! But hopefully things would be resolved soon. That night Andrew had hinted about a plan Gwyn had. So later on Megan went up to Gwyn’s dorm, only to find there was no Gwyn there, but Dumbledore. He handed her a walking stick and requested that she take it to Gwyn. But that was earlier on now. There was still much to be done. *** Andi took a quick glance at her watch, the first thing she did since starting on her essay for Transfiguration. It was 9:00. She adjusted her blanket and stifled a wide yawn; it had been a long day. The common room was filled mostly with pyjama clad Ravenclaws or the few people, like her who were working on their homework in the comfort of their common room rather than the library. After writing a quick conclusion, she rolled up her essay and headed up to the dorm. She was just about to pull the hangings around her four poster bed and call it a night, when Emily and Megan walked in. Megan looked a little flustered, but Emily seemed excited about something. “Has something happened?” was the first thing Andi asked the girls. “We have the best news!” Emily said at once. It seemed like she was dying to get this out. “I’ve only just found out! It’s Gwyn’s plan of revenge. I would have told you earlier, but it’s harder now that we’re not allowed in the Gryffindor common room.” She said this in a bitter tone. Andi could feel anger bubbling up, but it was washed away by her excitement. “Bloody hell! You must be joking! He already has a plan? It’s only been a day and he already has a plan?” “Yeah and he’s planning it for Monday. Listen to this…” And so it went on for fifteen minutes. Emily explained the plan to Andi, helped by Megan, for she had more details. “So how do we come into this?” Andi asked, her mind working furiously, her heart pumping excitement through her veins. “I’m not sure yet. Hopefully Gwyn will come out of that blasted common room soon so we can both talk face to face.” replied Emily. Andi let out a long sigh. And without realising it she burst out, “I’m absolutely sick of this! Everyone with common sense should realise that Slytherin was behind the explosion! I’m seriously considering going into that common room, despite what anyone says!”
Ever since Emily and Andrea recieved their unwritten ban from Gryffindor tower, Megan spent most of her free time in the Ravenclaw's commonroom. The kids in there were disdainful towards her, but other than little sneers behind her back, they did not hinder her. Because of this, Megan tried her hardest to stay out of anyones way when over there. No need to separate the two houses for good over something the Slytherins did.
But this usually meant that she returned to her own commonroom alone after classes. Kade had dissappeared for most of that day, and Megan was too depressed about the whole predicament to investigate.
After lunch that day, she trudged over to the stairwell that led to her dorm. She would have kept going, had she not noticed Professor Dumbledore coming down from the boy's stairwell.
Megan turned politely to face him. "Evening Professor." she greeted.
"Good evening, Miss Delano," he said, returning the greeting. "You would not happen to know where Mr. Allardyce is, would you?"
"No sir."
"I'm pleased that he appears to be feeling better and is up and about, though our school nurse does not agree with me. She demands that he use this." he said holding up a cane. "I had a feeling that this would not be a popular addition."
Megan nodded, she wouldn't want it either.
"I'll ask that you see this delivered to him, sense he left his dorm without it."
"Yes sir." she said, taking the cane from him.
He smiled, thanked her and left.
Can't say I've ever seen him in here, she thought, rolling the cane over in her hands.
~
Megan found the boys not too far from the commonroom entrance, and was completely furious that they had not invited her to come along. Wandering the corridors without Emily, Kade or Andrea was getting old. She herded them back to the dorm and demanded to know what was going on. Megan wanted in on whatever it was, and fast.
Her anger passed the second Gwyddion held her hand and praised her. Considering Kade was there, she almost let go and pulled away. But instead, she tried to supress the urge to blush and remained still.
"Anyway! There are still a few holes. What about teachers? Or prefects? If they saw a bunch of Slytherins stealing somehting of ours, they could ruin the whole thing and send the second crate back here!"she was unable to fight back a blush when Gwyddion smiled at her a second time.
~
"Well," Megan replied. "We're going to need a way to keep teachers out of this. So, either we can start a fight somewhere in a well populated hallway. Or we can try the Ravenclaw approach and keep their attentions by throwing one useless question after another out there, during class of course." Megan grinned her, watching her two friends frown.
Having Professor Dumbledore show up in the dorm was quite a shock to Gwyn. Since then he developed a new respect for his cane, which was due to Dumbledore and a good bit of Megan’s reminders. Megan had brought up some good points that had to be worked on and since Megan insisted he not leave the common room before Saturday he had to rely on the others. Andrew had some of that under control.
“Sean!” Andrew runs up to a Ravenclaw mate in a corridor. “Hey mate do you still get in the kitchens when your dad makes his deliveries?
“Ah.. ya why?” Sean asks.
“Well I need a couple of empty crates if you can manage it and a couple of labels.” Andrew hesitates and looks around making sure no one can over hear them. “It’s for something that’s a bit dodgy mate, it’s on the qt if you know what I mean.”
“Is this something to do with the stinksap? I heard about that from Emily and that you barred them from the common room. That’s not gone over to well mate and Megan’s up in our common room now. Some say we should chuck her out. It’s not how I feel but there it is. So anyway what’s with the crates?
Andrew hesitated and then filled in Sean on the plan.
“ruddy-Nora.” Sean says in a whisper. “Whose big idea is this?”
Andrew fills him in.
“That’s the new kid who got the leathering.” He shakes his head. “You guys are friggin’ nuts but I’ll get you the crates. Make sure that lairy Riddle or his cronies don’t catch wind of this, there’ll be hell to pay if they do, you being a prefect and all. Where d’you want them?”
Andrew explains that the crates are to go to Trimbles old classroom and hidden in a cupboard.
“Crates will be there in the morning. If I can do anything else let me know.” Sean said as the boys part company.
(OOC: Ok Wez your back in.)
It was evening and Sean McLeod went to the kitchen at the right time for the operation. He waited till it was cleared out. Then he slinked in and went to where the crates were stacked off to the side out of the way of anyone working in the kitchen. He grabbed as much as he could carry and then got the rest with his wand. He arrived at the designated location. Here he let all the crates down softly. And then opened up the cupboard. He then proceeded to put each crate in one by one.
He was glad he got this part of the plan done so easily though it made him feel a bit worried. He tried to shrug this feeling off as best he could. He briskly walked back to his common room for lights out. He did not rest until he got into the common room and was lying on his bed. Then he was able to relax and calm down and get some well deserved sleep. He would let the worry transfer to where it belonged: the other members of the team.
(Hope this is good. Thanks Thalion.)
The three girls spent most of Sunday afternoon in the Ravenclaw dormitory, planning our their part for Monday.
"I don't think we'll need to worry about distracting teachers," said Emily. "If they're smart, the Slytherins should watch their own backs and take care of that for us."
"But when have Slytherins ever been smart?" Andrea muttered.
Megan shrugged. "Well they were smart enough to get into our commonroom... though I don't like relying on them any more than you do, Andi."
"Prefects will still be a problem, though." added Emily.
"They're all going to be a problem! The Slytherins don't know that they're recieving packages. So it'll be more of a 'last minute theft'." Megan growled, starting to get frustrated.
"We could walk down the hallway and hint loudly about it!" said Andrea, not really meaning it but trying to remain calm.
"Too obvious for any smart Slytherin." Emily continued.
"There you go again giving Slytherin too much credit!"
"I'm trying not to underestimate them!"
"What about Slughorn?" Andrea piped up, trying to stop any argument. "He's the closest teacher to the dungeons."
"He's never really taken an interest in any of us..." said Emily.
"Unless... Andi! Does he know you're Metamorphmagus? I mean thats not exactly common..."
"I don't know. I do change hair color from time to time, but that doesn't mean anything... I thought it was common knowledge by now that I was... But I don't want to be in the Slug Club!"
"Aw c'mon, Andi! Its worth a try!" Megan pleaded. "It's all we've got so far!"
"Megan? Do you still have your dungbomb stash?" Emily asked.
Megan chuckled and offered only one syallable. "Yes."
"If we vandalize the prefect bathroom, thats bound to get some attention."said Emily.
"Those pricks are the only people who could ever be proud of a bathroom. Though that could backfire on Andrew." Megan said shaking her head.
"We'll just have to warn him before hand." Andrea offerred.
"Then it's settled! The bathroom's going down, while Andi signs with Sluggy!"
"BUT I DON'T WANT TO BE IN THE SLUG CLUB!!" Andrea protested.
Megan and Emily just snickered.
~
It was past curfew, when Megan realized that she needed to leave. She said goodnight to her friends, ignored the dirty looks she got from students in the commonroom and left for Gryffindor tower.
She kept to the shadows and even took an empty passage way to get there. A house ghost would pass by now and then, but she didn't hide until she came upon Slytherin's (who was never very friendly). Megan wasn't sure why, but she felt certain that someone saw her who wasn't supposed to.
When she arrived in her own commonroom, she saw Andrew there and sat down to tell him what would go on the next day.
He was reluctant to standby and let the prefect bathroom get vandalized, which made Megan laugh, but agreed with the overall plan.
(OOC this takes place before Bessain’s last post and it’s Saturday)
Saturday! Finally I’m free, Gwyddion saids to himself. His confinement to the dorm and common room was over. This was all well and good but he still had to take it easy.
The three boys, Gwyddion, Andrew and Kade went to the Great Hall and sat with a couple of Andrew’s mates on the Quidditch Team. Tryouts were going to be held next weekend so the Quidditch hype was building fast and the first game was in three weeks. Gwyn saw the girls arrive and gave a quick wave but the discussion had turn to past games, practice schedules and new moves.
After breakfast the boys went to the Quidditch pitch but Gwyn was still sidelined. He talked the team through a move he was taught at Durmstrang that was very effective if done right and if the referee was watching too closely.
At lunch Gwyn asked Kade how many were trying out for the Quidditch team, Kade’s reply surprised him but also made his spirits sore,
“Don’t worry about it Gwyn, you’re the only one that’s played for two years so it’s in the bag.”
This was also the day the packages had to be put together, wrapped and nailed up tight. The plan was to start after lunch. Andrew, Kade and Gwyddion were going to finish the crates but the girls were still working on their delivery. In Trimble’s old room Kade watched the door while Andrew and Gwyn levitated each bag into a crate and dumped it in. The empty bags were simply vanished and Gwyn again hid the odour with a spell. Everything was going well until Kade gave a start and warning.
“Riddle!” he hissed. “Damn he’s seen me.”
It was a quick scramble to hide the crates behind the cupboard curtain. Andrew grabbed Gwyn and dragged him to a window and began explaining random facts about what they saw outside.
“Mr. Adair what are you doing …. Ah, Andrew what’s all this then?” Riddle asked looking down his nose at the three boys.
“Mr Riddle. Well Mr. Allardyce was permitted to be about today and we’re showing him around a bit.”
Riddle looks at the three boys and then focuses in on Gwyn. “You must be the new Welsh boy. I’ve heard of your lack of manners and it consequences. I hope you have learned your lesson well.” It took every bit of restraint that Gwyn muster to keep from saying anything. Riddle sneers down at Gwyn then looks around the room. “Very well then Andrew.” Riddle says and leaves the room.
“Sheeit that was close!” Kade said relieved.
“Bloody hell… if he had caught us with that stuff.” Andrew leans back against the window.
“Come on that just makes it all the better, we’re doing it all right under his nose. Come on were nearly done.” Gwyn and Kade pull out the boxes while Andrew watches the door. The crates are finished and shipping labels attached, one for Slytherin and one for Gryffindor. Gwyn placed the exploding curse on the boxes and they hide the boxes again. The three boys make sure they are seen around wandering the school and the grounds before heading back to the common room. Megan is sitting on the sofa and Gwyn sits beside her as he looks around making sure he won’t be over heard.
“Riddle almost spoiled our fun but Andrew was bloody brilliant. Anyway the package is ready to be delivered, just let us know your plan and we’ll be there for ya.” He lay back against the cushions and looked at Megan. “It’s bin a bit of a rough start but I think I’m going to like it here, something’s more than others.”
It was early Sunday morning and it looked like a perfect day for flying and Gwyn had been awake since 5:30. With all the talk of quidditch the day before, he began to worry that there was little time left to get into form. He had been looking forward to practise flying around the vast grounds of Hogwarts and the quidditch pitch since his arrival and after all the talk the desire to be flying on his broom overwhelmed his need to sleep. He felt good, almost as good now as the day he arrived and he didn’t wait any longer. At 6 am he got quietly out of bed and dressed for the outside, he took his broom and made his way down the moving staircases to the great oak front doors of Hogwarts. The doors were unlocked. He looked around but saw no one and heard nothing, so he pulled on the great handle and slipped outside.
He ran down the steps and jumped on his Clean Sweep 2000 at a full run. His spirits soared when his feet left the ground and the chilled morning wind began to blow back his hair. He flew to the quidditch pitch and wove around the goal posts and sprang out from behind the spectators’ stands. He dove and then pulled up hard and shot up high into the sky, howling as he did. He flew up and down the pitch rolling, swerving and flying upside down. He charged the Rings and practised the move he had learnt at Durmstrang some called the dump and roll, this he would show the Gryffindor team. He had spent the better part of an hour in the pitch area before flying at top speed three yards above the ground and then rising sharply just before reaching the dark forest and shot up and out across the tops of the trees.
The forest was vast and heavily over grown with tall trees. Must be a dark in there even during the day he thought. “That would be perfect.” He said to himself, coming up with an idea. He flew through the tops of the trees and would clip the tops of some of them. Hogwarts Castle was quite far off now, so he banked hard and flew at top speed weaving around the tops of the trees and dropping anytime there was a clearing.
“That was a Centaur, bloooody hell.” He turned and looked as he flew past and saw the Centaur raise his hands and shake his fists at him. Gwyddion laughed as he flew on. As Hogwarts came closer he would slow and fly along clear pathways through the trees. He flew on and looked to the side then looking forward he saw a large man standing on the pathway. He let out a holler and rolled to the side and narrowly missed the man. He came to a stop and ran back along the path until he reached the fellow who was just getting up.
“Oh bugger… I’m sorry sir, I wasn’t expecting anyone, are you alright?” Gwyddion asked.
“What the bloody hell do you think you were doing flying like some idiot? Coulda killed somone! What the hell are ya flying here for anyway? I aughta to report you to the headmaster, you know the rules about the forest.” Blustered Hagrid.
“I’m sorry sir but I don’t know any rules about the forest.” Gwyn was talking fast. "I’m just out flying, I always flew in the forest at my last school and I really don’t need anymore trouble right now.”
“What are you on about, everyone knows the rules about the Dark Forest. Headmaster always reminds everyone about the forest first night back at Hogwarts. Everyone knows!” Hagrid looks Gwyn over. “I don know you, you new ere?
“Ah yes sir I arrived last Tuesday. I was 2 days late arriving at Hogwarts from the mainland. Bombings held us up and well I haven’t been in any classes yet. I start tomorrow." Gwyn explains hoping for no more trouble.
“You’re that Durmstrang boy, I heard about you and that bit of bother you had, uncalled for was it. What ar ya doing out here anyway?" Hagrid asks.
Gwyn explains himself and also talks to Hagrid about something he would like to do in the forest. “Some students were permitted to do this at Durmstrang and their barrack, which would be a house here, would all benefit from it. I have taken the challenge seven times and only failed once, is it been done here at Hogwarts too?”
Hagrid laughs. “I never heard such a thing going on here and by a student no less. You can ask but it’ll never happen, even if it did at Durmstrang. It won’t happen here boy, you ask Professor Dumbledore about it he’ll set you straight. Now come on I’ll walk you back to the grounds. What’s your name by the way?”
Gwyn entered the Great Hall carrying his broom feeling great. He walked up to Megan and put his hands on her shoulders and swung around and sat beside her.
“You’ll never guess what I’ve done this morning!” he asks setting his broom aside.
She looks at him smiles. “Gone flying?” “Oh very funny ha, ha, ha. Gwyn replies. He told Megan of his flight over the forest and his encounter with the assistant games keeper Hagrid and the idea he for the two of them while flying over the forest.
“Your crazy, Hagrid was right it’ll never happen.” She said shaking her head.
“But if I can swing it will you come with me? We’ll have wands and crossbows and someone with us. Think about it, Gryffindor eats wild boar. Come with me.”
As Gwyn looks at Megan and waits for her answer when Kade and some of the Quidditch guys come in and start to drag him away to join them. He doesn’t move until one of them grabs his broom.
“Please think about it Megan, I wouldn’t rather have anyone else with me.” Gwyn blushes and not believing what he just said.
“Tell me later…ok ...I’ll see you later.” Gwyn gets up and walks off to get back his broom.
