((OOC: Randy, OOC means out-of-character, btw. Like, when you're you talking to the rest of the RPers, like I am now. 8Db
ANYWAY.... The damn title of the RP is subject to change, I was just trying to make it general. Soo... Whatevs. And I'm starting this out as like, the Journey of Regions is a challenge put on by some... some dumbass (idk who yet) who just challenges willing trainers to go through each region one by one and battle the gyms (they give out special badges for this, as well as their regular ones), and they have to do it in order and can't move on to the next region until they have them all, plus maybe special items found throughout each region? Is this appealing at all?
Maybe I will start my post as just vague shenanigans, I'm so used to this shit being planned out in person. XD))
Ellie was lost on top of a mountain.
She'd had a map... But it somehow got lost amongst her overpacked bag, something she's very bad about doing. She was pretty sure she was somewhere in the mountains around Cerulean City, as she had been at Mt. Moon about a week ago. Now she was just lost.
Giving up for the moment, she sat on a rock. Feebee, her partner Shinx, lept up next to her.
"Sorry Feebs, I know how stressed you are..." she apologized, scratching her ears.
"Shii..." Feebee sighed.
"I was sure I put the map in here somewhere, do you think it got left behind--"
Ellie was cut off when the very rock they were sitting on started to rumble and move, lifting from the ground. Feebee jumped down, while her trainer was thrown off with no time to react. As the rock stood upright, it turned around to see who had disturbed its slumber.
"Golem!" it shouted angrily, and the split second of terror Ellie felt was suddenly excitement.
"No way, a Golem!" she exclaimed happily, turning to Feebee. "Maybe it can help us get out of here!"
Feebee quickly caught on to her trainer's idea, and proceeded to ask the large rock Pokemon for directions.
"Golem Go-Golem!" it rumbled, and gestured for them to follow.
"Wow, I can't believe that worked, thanks Feebs!" Ellie said, and the two quickly followed the leading Golem through a mess of rocks.
After some walking, they came to the face of a hill, and the Golem stopped. Rather than taking them right to town, it gave them the remaining directions to get back to Cerulean City. They thanked it, and it rolled back to its napping place.
Feebee had understood the directions clearly, and led the way back into town, taking no more than 20 minutes to reach the foot of the mountain.
"Shi! Shi!" Feebee cried, running merrily to a nearby pond. Ellie slowly followed, taking in the cityscape before her in awe.
"Oh Feebee, I'm so glad we made it out! Let's get to a PokeCenter and get some rest!"
Having visited Cerulean many times before, Ellie knew her way around without a problem. Upon reaching the Center, she checked everyone in for any necessary refreshing, and booked herself a room for the night.
Her team was returned to her quickly, and she noticed a group of trainers loudly discussing some sort of challenge as she put her PokeBalls away.
"I'm telling you, this would just be a huge waste of time! Who has two years to dedicate to going to each and every region, just to do what we're already doing?" one boy said, clearly opposed to whatever this was.
"It's not a waste of time! It's a full Pokemon experience!" the one in favor yelled, waving around a poster.
As the poster caught her eye, Ellie looked around the Center to find more just like it pinned in eyeshot of visiting trainers. Clearly, whoever created this... challenge wanted a lot of participants.
Curiosity got the best of her, and she went to examine one.
And then her name was on the list of participants ten minutes later.
((OOC: Dumb, I know, but it's a start! Now get your asses in gear, I want our trio to travel together~))
