((OOC: AND WE'RE OFF! If you don't like the title, lemme know and I can change it. I just didn't want another RPG with no title forever. >.< ))
Seirei watched a sand twister spin around the desert-like realm of shinigami and sighed. She looked down at her apple-- which, in the shinigami world, looked like it had been dead and shrivled up for 30 years-- and tossed it behind her back, only to be sucked up by another twister. It was so boring here; nothing to do but sleep, gamble, kill people, and gamble some more. It had been the same for nearly 100 years, and Seirei didn't know how the other shinigami could stand it. Certainly she wasn't the only bored one?
After thinking a moment, she realized she wasn't. Some time ago, she remembered hearing rumors of a fellow shinigami-- Ryuk, was his name?-- who was so bored he willingly dropped his Death Note into the human world. If she could remember correctly, it had started a world-wide mass-murdering and five-year-long manhunt for the reknowned "Kira", who was the young man who had picked up Ryuk's Death Note.
She also remembered hearing that Ryuk had been severely punished by the Shinigami King for stealing a second Death Note and using it for his own personal pleasure. But had it all been worth it for him? she wondered.
It was then that Seirei had a marvelous idea. Why not drop her own notebook into the human world? She had always wanted to interact with humans, she heard they were interesting creatures. And since she wasn't stealing another's note, she wouldn't be punished.
She also remembered hearing that the human world had delicious apples.
Making her final decision, Seirei flew off to find Zukuto and Wezurii. Causing another world-wide mass-murdering sounded very entertaining, and what better way to make it moreso than by throwing in more than one Death Note this time?

((OOC: HAHAHAHA!! Oh, yes... this shall be grand. We get to be all morbid and the like. Hehehehehe....oh yeah and I love the title!!))
Wezurii is lying peacfully in his small section of the desolate realm of that is the world of Death Gods. He had constricted some debris into a very short sort of wall. It only would seclude someone if they were laying down, which he was. He was staring straight up into the distorted abyss, probably thinking about what to do with his meaningless existance. He glances to the left where his Death Note rests on a "shelf". An intricate pen placed on top. He closes his eye and sighs. He rolls over to his right. He then opens his eyes only to see a grinning face inches from his own throught the beak in the wall of his "house". He leaps back hitting the wall behind him. The pen is knocked to the ground. "Oh, it's just you, Seirei. You startled me. I was trying to rest." "Hah," Seirei spat gelefully, "that's almost all you ever do!" "Do you have any better ideas!" Wezurii's response was totally rehitorical. "Actually, I do!" Seirei's smile grew a little more. Wezurii regains his composure and pushes himself back against the "wall" next to the "shelf". He pulls his legs up so they are bent and rests his arms on them. His back slightly arcing as he relaxedly is leaning forward. He reaches over and picks up the fallen pen and begins to pass it through his digits of his right hand. "I'm listening," was Wezurii's simple response, though he was obviously curious and intrigued. "Hehe, simple! We drop our Death Notes into the human world" "What," Wezurii's stoic vibe now confused and upset, "are you insane? Don't you remember what the King did to Ryuk? No thanks, Seirei, count me out. Our life here is bad enough as it is." "Nooooo, silly! He was caring two!" Wezurii's face perked up to this realization. "Go on," he said, renewed. "Well, we don't steal someone else's. We'll just use our own. I mean come on, I know that you, like me, already stocked up on many years of life so not using your Death Note for a bit won't kill you," Seirei said persausively. Wezurii grunted softly in agreement. "I'll go get Zukuto, I want him in on this too. OH! It'll be so fun!" "Oh, you don't need to get Zukuto," Wezurii's response confused Seirei which made her face very humorous looking, for the confusion added to her perpetual smile gave her a cute, clueless sort of visage. "Wh- why's tha-" "Because I'm right here," came a grim voice from behind the tallest portion of the "house". The figure stood up. and turned to face them. ((OOC: There you go Ben! I hope this is all ok. I can change it if need be. Juz' lemme' kno'))

Zukuto gripped his metal-encased wrist and twisted it a little. He turned to Wezurii and Seirei and nodded.
"Zukuto!" Seirei said. "Hi!"
"Hey," he said.
"When did you get here," she asked him.
"Well I couldn't sleep last night, not that I ever can sleep here, and walked over to Wezurii's," Zukuto began. "We talked a little and gambled with some of the other shinigami's. I'm glad to say my net profit was thirty years."
"I wasn't so lucky. Minus fifteen for me. I swear you must cheat or something Zukuto," Wezurii punched Zukuto in the arm and recoiled back in pain from punching the hard metal.
"I don't know about that, maybe I'm just lucky," Zukuto shrugged.
"Yeah, lucky to be here huh? What luck we all have then," Wezurii said with a groan.
Seirei always thought about why Zukuto was encased in armor. He had been for as long as she had known him. The same dark gray armor he had worn on any occasion of meeting. The only thing visible from his natural body was the long messy main of black hair that tumbled down to the middle of his back and his glowing white eyes. She smiled and tossed that thought from her mind.
"So do you want in on this too? It'll be fun!" she said exitedly.
Zukuto yawned and looked around. He looked at his Death Note curiously, well as curiously as an armored face can look at anything, and looked back up at the other two. He raised his right hand up and a small cyclone swirled in his hand. In it appeared a dried up and rotten apple. Seirei noticed this apple as the one she had thrown earlier. Zukuto looked at it then crushed it into dust.
"I'm hungry. Let's go." he said leading the group to the portal to the human world.

The three Death Gods stood in a row at the mouth of the hole that was the passage between realms. None of them saiod anything. They had been in stealth mode getting here. They didn't want to be seen doing what they knew was against the rules. "O-kay," Seirei finally spoke, "you guys did as I instructed and wrote directions for it's use in the most common language of Eglish, right? That's what Ryuk did, and it seemed to work well The other two death gods nodded to her that they had. "Well," Seirei began, "here goes. I guess I'll go first. Hm, it is my idea after all." Seirei tentatively outstreched her long, slender arm over the void. The next second, she released it and it plumited into the portal below. "No goin' back now," Seirei said, followed by a giggle. Wezurii and Zukuto took turns dropping their books next. "Now, we wait," Seirei sat as she sat down. Wezurii joined her on the ground. Zukuto leaned up against the cavernous wall. Now they had nothing to do but wait a few days. ((OOC: Hope this'll do. It's shorter than my usual posts, but my buddy Kyle came over and we're going to ride to River Park and I don't want to keep him waiting. Go ahead, Ashley, and like, skip to the day we leave.))

((OOC: short and sweet, Wes! Takin' it away to the MAIN PLOT OH YEAH~))
Several days passed, and the three shinigami wandered back to the Portal of Realms. They peered inside at the swirling vortex, curious. After a moment, Wezurii spoke.
"How do we know if it's been picked up by a human?" he asked. Seirei shrugged.
"I dunno. I think we just...know," she answered. As if to emphisize her point, she suddenly felt a twinge in her chest, and stepped back from the protal.
"What's wrong, Seirei?" Zukuto asked when he noticed her sudden movement.
"I think someone just picked up my notebook..." she muttered. Her friends looked at her, shocked. Without another word, she expanded her wings and stepped into the portal.
"See you in the human world, if we happen to meet!" she called behind her, leaving Zukuto and Wezurii with gaping mouths.
((OOC: I hope the whole twinge in the chest thing is ok with you guys, cuz I honestly haven't the slightest clue as to how Ryuk knew...^^; ))
~~~
As Seirei flew through the human skies, she took in the amazing sights. The big picture was so much clearer down here than it was looking through the portal, and much prettier too. Flying closer through a city she only knew to be somewhere in the United States, she watched the people below. She could see all of them, but only one of them could see her. And she needed to find that one person.
Just as she began to wonder how she would go about finding that person, she felt another twinge in her chest, and it seemed to be guiding her north. There wasn't much she could do but follow its guidance.
After following her intuition for a while, Seirei came to a small suburban neighborhood. It was just before dusk, so she could see several children going inside for the night.
The twinge in her chest then led her to a large, two-story house at the end of a street. She perched in a tree outside one of the upstairs windows facing the backyard, and looked inside; no one appeared to be inside, and the lights were off. But for some reason she felt-- no, she knew-- her Death Note was in that room. Without a second thought, Seirei left her perch in the tree and floated through the wall of the house, and hid in the shadows.
After waiting for several minutes, the door to what she assumed was the new owner of the Death Note's bedroom opened, allowing to enter a young man. He chucked his bag into a corner and flopped onto his bed, all without turning on a light. Seirei quietly thanked him for that. When he didn't notice her, she examined him.
The first thing that caught her eye was his name in bold red letters floating above his head: Jack Evans. He was about half her height, if not a little taller, had nearly black hair, and from what she could tell, striking green eyes. Seirei waited for him to pull out her Death Note before confronting him. Which, lucky for her, wasn't long.
Jack suddenly sat up and, without getting entirely off of his bed, reached for his bag and dragged it closer to him. When he had successfully attained his belongings, he reached inside the bag and fished for something, and pulled out the Death Note. He stared at it intently for several minutes, a concerned expression on his face.
"A Death Note is a wonderful thing," Seirei told him, finally deciding to announce her presance. She watched Jack look around his room in a frantic panic before she stepped into what little light was left, revealing herself.
Just as Jack was about to scream in terror, Seirei was instantly behind him, her enormous hand covering his mouth. He let out a squeak of shock, and tried to resist.
"Shh," she bayed him. "Only those who have touched my notebook can see me, so if you scream and someone runs in here, they will find nothing and think you're crazy," Seirei explained. When she felt that Jack had calmed down, she released him. Upon doing so, Jack quickly jumped off his bed and scurried to the other side of the room.
"Wh-what the hell are you?!" he demanded, panic clearly in his voice. Seirei stood from the bed.
"I'm a Shinigami. And that's my Death Note you have."
"A shinigami? What the hell is that?" Jack said when he didn't recognize the word.
"A God of Death, if you will. Surprised to see me?" she asked. Jack looked down at the notebook he held in his hand.
"I guess I shouldn't be... I've read all the rules. Is this thing for real?" he asked. Seirei nodded.
"Everything. What, you haven't tested it yet?" Now Jack shook his head.
"Killing people just to test a theory isn't exactly my style," he explained, and Seirei let out a chuckle.
"Then what are you doing with my notebook, Jack?" she asked in a creepy tone.
She saw Jack's expression turn dumbfounded, and cut him off before he could ask her how she knew his name. "I can see your name above your head. It's one of the perks to being a shinigami. Anyway, haven't you heard of Kira? The mass-murderer from some years back who killed off criminals?"
"I guess the name rings a bell..."
"He used a Death Note to do it. So you see? The thing really works. No need to mindlessly test it. Go on, kill somebody!" Seirei pushed. "Start a new reign of Kira!"
"What? Why?" Jack asked, curious to the shinigami's intent. "Why would you want me to do that, of all people?"
"Why, you ask? To put it bluntly, I'm bored. The shinigami realm is a very boring place, and I thought I'd get out and get a little excitement. And as I've heard, humans are very exciting creatures." Seirei explained. Jack grunted a laugh, and tossed the Death Note to her.
"No way. Take back your stupid notebook, and leave me out of your silly conquest for entertainment," he said. Seirei looked shocked for a moment, then softened.
"Ok, fine then. I'll find another human to entertain me. But just so you know, upon relinquishing ownership of the Death Note, you will have no memory of it or me," Seirei explained. Jack turned away from her.
"Good. Now get out of my room."
Seirei took one last look at the young man, and turned to leave. She put one boot on the windowsill before leaping out, and turned back to him.
"Last chance," she offered.
"Go." Jack said harshly. Seirei sighed, and took off into the night.
This wasn't going to be as easy as she thought.
((OOC: WHOA long post. Sorry. ^^; Now, before Ben and/or Wes make a post where their shinigami leave the realm, let Michi and Chad's characters meet up with you guys so they can be in on it too.))
((OOC: All right, then. Let's do this.))
Wezurii sat staring into the void. He knew not what would tell him to leave in search of his notebook. But he didn't mind. He would play his part and see how this all go about.
He then felt a feeling come over him. He didn't know what it was, but he had a thought about what it could mean.
The Death God just sat there for a few days. No need to rush. He'd go when he felt like it. Now he could let the person who'd found his note decide if he or she would want to test it and maybe kill off some people with it. He'd let them expirement for a while. No need to worry, he had written everything down in the front cover. He at first felt a little bit uneasy about this plan, but now he found himself looking forward to it.
~
A few days have passed.
"I guess I should go see what's up," Wezurii said, "My Death Note was found a few days ago."
"Mm," Zukuto replied with a grunt, "mine has been found, too. But I haven't given the person enough time. I'll be down shortly."
"So be it. See ya, Zukuto."
Wezurii expanded his wings and flew down into the human world.
~
Wezurii had been following the pull of his notebook for a little while now.
He finally came to a house. In a window of an upper story, a young girl in her late teens was sitting at a desk. She had a detirmined look on her face. She was staring at Wezurii's Death Note. She then flipped it open and began writing. Wezurii silently flew in and withdrew his wings. He stood there infront of the window looking at her. The onlylight in the room was the computer monitor. The girl had shoulder length, straight, brown hair. Her eyes were aslo brown and she had a slender face. She probably stood about 5'5 or 6" tall and had a slenderd, toned physique. Except for her chest, which was quite a bit larger because she was female. She was only wearing under garments which helped Wezurii see her build and come to the conclusion that she probably did sports or some sort of exercise regularly. She was very attractive even to Wezurii, a Death God. Above her head was the name [glow=red,2,300]Sara Weaver[/glow]. Along with a large number counting down. He watched her for a total of about 5 minutes before speaking.
"Having fun?" He asked cooly. This totally surprised Sarah who had been totally unaware of his presence. She had turned her head to her right to see the source of the voice and the truth terrified her. She fell out of her chair with a scream and crawled back to her closet door and huddled with herself.
"Get away," she said, terrified.
"It's alright," Wezurii said, "I mean absolutely no harm.
"Who, or what the hell are you!" she cried.
"Please keep your voice down. If anyone else hears you they'll run up here only to see you cowering at nothing and you'll probably wind up in a sanitarium." She relaxed some, but was still compeltly freaked out.
"Ok..." she replied.
"I am the owner of that notebook."
"What, you came to take it back? Take it! Just, don't come any closer than neccesary..."
"No, no no. It's yours," Sarah's visage became shocked.
"What?"
"Yes, I dropped that down here for who ever found it and wanted to use it."
"Why would you do that? And what do you mean by down here?"
"I am a Death God," Sarah became even more surprised, "the world in which we reside is not a very nice place. So, I was bored. Didn't you hear about Kira?"
"Kira?...." Sarah had to think for a second, "Oh, so was that it? A Death God got bored, drop his book, and someone started passing judgement on criminals?"
"Exactly," was Wezurii's plain response, "I must stay with the Death Note until either you or it are finished. And while I follow you, no doubt I will get some first rate entertainment. I heard humans were fasinating creatures. And I heard the food here is amazing."
Sarah remained silent. She was taking all this in.
"So, are you going to sit there all night? You can trust me. I'm not going to do anything to you. I'll just be right with you where ever you go."
"What!" she cried, "it's bad enough you broke in here while I am almost completly naked!"
"Oh, please," Wezurii said with a raspy chuckle, "I'm not human and I don't have such thoughts or emotions. But I must say, you are very nice to look at..." Sarah blushed and smiled a little.
"Alright... oh! But what about everyone else? Won't they notice the strange, lanky guy with the scary looking mask?" Wezurii burst into laughter. A laughter which only a god of death could create.
"HAH! No, you are the only person who can see or hear me. But if someone were to touch that notebook, they, too, could see me."
"That's a releif," Sarah said with a sigh, closing her eyes. She stood back up and sat back down at the desk. She wasn't worried so much of the Death God's presence.
"I see you haven't written that many names down yet. Hm, that's OK."
"Yeah, I wasn't too sure about this at first. I'm still not entirely," she said with a slight worried tone to her voice.
"Well, that's fine," Wezurii said, "do what ever you wish. Meanwhile, I'm going to go see what good food you have to eat!" Wezurii said with a grin. He was now completly himself now that he was in a whole new realm with tons of amazing stuff to try and explore. Not like the barren realm of the Death Gods.
"Help yourself," Sarah said absentmindedly. She was busy writing in the Death Note with her computer on and a news paper on the desk.
He marched down stairs to the kitchen and located a bowl of fruit.
"Score!" He cried out with glee. He collected an apple, a banana and a can of soda pop from the refridgerator. He then went back up stairs with his prizes clutched tightly to his chest in his arms. He lyed down on her bed on his side setting the food infront of him and placing the can on the window sil.
"Oi, Sarah," he said still munching on the apple.
"Yes- wait how do you know my name?" She said, whipping around to look at the Death God lounging on her bed.
"Oh," he finshed chewing his bite and swallowed, "one of the cool things about being a Death God is being able to see the names and life spans of any human we see.
"Is that what you use the Death Note for?"
"You're a smart one, Sarah. Yes, we looked down on your world and take people's lives when it's time to go. We look for people with twenty years left and kill them. That twenty years then adds on to our own life."
"I see... what was your question, Wezurii, was it?"
"Yeah, uh... can you open this for me?" Wezurii held the can of soda to her. She smiled. Sarah then got up and took a couple steps to Wezurii's hand. She took the can, put her finger under the tab and lifted up. With a crisp sounding hiss followed by a clack the can was open. She then pushed the tab back into it's normal position.
"Here you go," she said with a friendly tone.
"Amazing, Sarah. Thank you." He took the can and poured some of it's contents into his mouth.
"MMMM! This is delicious!" His reaction made Sarah giggle, "and so is the fruit. Man I love it here already."
She could not help but notice that there was definately something cute about this God of Death. She was no longer scared of him or worried about what would happen. She was afraid her summer was going to be boring. But when she found the Death Note she was a little less concerned. And her new friend, a Death God, was the icing on the cake. This was going to be a lot of fun.
((Damn, longer than anticapated. Ben? You want to go next?))
Zukuto stood next to the portal to the human world glaring into the void with intensity. His note had been found but he wanted to see how long he could go without entering the human realm. The pull on his chest at first felt like a slight tug, a mear annoyance. But now it was a s if his soul were being stretched into oblivion. Zukuto decided he couldn't wait any longer, he had to find his Note's owner.
He expanded his chest with a deep breath and black smoke poured from his armor. It swirled around his back and took the form of wings. He spread his new wings and stepped into the portal.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Liam ran through the school yard clutching a black notebook in his hand. He ran at a full sprint with three large guys behind him yelling and spouting profanities at him. He ran down the street and into an alley way. He ran until he hit a fence that was too tall to climb. He turned around looking for any possible escape but the only one was the way he had come.
...behind the three guys closing in.
"Hey freak," the one on the right said. "What'd we say we'd do to you if you showed your face at school again?"
The one in the middle noticed the black notebook and jumped up to him.
"What do we have here?" he said grabbing it away from him. "Death Note, eh? This your hit list or something?!"
The guy smacked Liam with the book knocking him over onto the ground. Liam looked up at the guy with his death note. He reached into his pocket and grabbed out a small knife. The guy smiled maliciously.
"I'm gonna cut you for every name I find in here," he said as he went to open the book.
Behind the group of guys Liam saw a flash of blackness. As soon as the guy with his death note went to open his death note he, and his cronies, were thrown back by a large gust of wind. The Death Note landed next to Liam. Liam looked behind him to the source of the gust and he went slackjawed. Floating not five feet away was a large, armor clad, man with enourmous black wings. He landed next to Liam and bent down to grab the Death Note. He picked Liam up and set him on his feet with his other hand and handed him the Death Note, opened to the blank first page.
"Write their names here," the intimidating being ordered.
Liam stared blankly at him for a few second then fumbled in his pocket for something to write with. He retreived a black pen and took off the cap. He wrote all three of the attacker's names down in the Death Note and looked back up at the being.
"But why?" Liam said, his throat dry and hoarse.
"Now," it said, "they will die."
Liam shot a look to the three guys now getting up.
"What the hell?" the one in the middle said. He stopped speaking when he noticed the large figure floating next to Liam. He stared at the both of them until he gasped and grabbed his chest. His eyes rolled back into his head and he fell to the ground. The other two went to help their friend up when they too fell over next to their partner, dead. Liam stumbled back with wide eyes at the three dead people in front of him. He looked good and hard at his tormentors and then...grinned. He looked up at his savior with a glint in his eyes.
"Are you an angel?" Liam asked.
"Not quite," it said.
"Who are you?" Liam asked again, wanting desperatly to find out who this creature was.
"I am Zukuto," he replied. "A shinigami."

"HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Kumori cackled, watching his latest death through the human world portal. He had just killed a Filipino man with a coconut. Any shinigami around him just stared at him weirdly.
"What should I do next? Any ideas?!?" Kumori asked, unaware of the fact that no one was paying any attention to him. "Ooh, I know!" he said. He continued killing people in odd ways for a few more hours, before he finally ran out of ideas.
"Let's see, falling coconut, done that, pencil in eye, done that, playing card slitting a throat, done that..." Kumori thought. "Geez, I'm completely out of ideas. I must have added a couple hundred years onto my life by now... COME ON! Someone say somet-"
"Shut up! I'm trying to win some years!" another shinigami yelled, throwing an apple at him. It hit Kumori in the back of the head. He spun around, not realizing his Death Note had fallen from his hands.
"Hey, that wasn't funny!" Kumori shouted, but as he opened his moth to yell some more, he realized his Death Note wasn't in his hands. He turned around, it wasn't anywhere near the portal. He rushed over to the portal and realized his note must have fallen through it.
"Ohh crap... if the King knows I dropped my note, he won't be too happy, I'd better go after it..." he thought. Suddenly, there was a twinge in his chest. "Someone got it already?!" he said, shocked that it had happened that fast. "Great, now I need to wait a few days..." Kumori uttered, sighing at his carelessness.
(OOC: On my next post, he'll meet his human. Idk when the rest of us will meet up, I guess I'll just have to find out.)
