((OOC: OMG FILLER POOOOOST~ because I haven't the slightest clue where they are going.))
As Kichi and Ryuu followed Toshiro around Seireitei, they couldn't help but wonder why the place felt so deserted. Had everyone fled, or been killed? They knew they weren't entirely alone, for apart from the other half of their team, they could hear distant battles commencing, along with the cry of a hollow every once in a while.
With a sigh, Kichi could only hope that they weren't the only ones there, or alive. She liked to keep a postitive outlook on things. As she thought of a reasonable explaination as to why they hadn't met many other shinigami, Toshiro stopped, and Kichi walked into him.
"Ack! I apologize, Captain! I'll watch where I'm going next time!" she apologized while waving her arms around in a flustered manner. Toshiro waved it off.
"It's fine, Raikatsuji," Toshiro said, waving it off. He looked up, as if he were trying to locate something.
"Is something wrong, Hitsugaya?" Ryuu asked after a moment. Toshiro shook his head.
"Nothing's wrong. I just feel a strange spiritual pressure. I don't recognize it, and I'm unable to tell which direction it's coming from..." he explained, trailing off as he searched the skies. Ryuu didn't respond.
"...I don't feel anything, Captain..." Kichi admitted after a moment of trying to find the spiritual pressure he had been talking about.
"It's very faint. But it's gone now. Come, let us continue," Toshiro said as he led them through the maze of the Seireitei.
((OOC:....yeah, I really couldn't think of anything...^^;; ))

((OOC: I'll be damned if this thing dies. So I am going to post. No one has for days.)) Continuing the search for answers and revenge, the 10th squad lieutenant and her two companions continued there quest through Seireite to find this, summoner. They had barely spoke of hardly anything since Kayane had mentioned the legendary Soul Reaper representative. Just then, up ahead someone rounded a corner and was walking toward them. The trio stopped. So did the person up ahead. She appeared to be female and wore a shihakushou. Therefor, she probably wasn't a threat. "Who could that be," Sucharu thought out loud. Kayane had his eyes one the girl approching them who had started to run. He grinned. "Heh," "Do you know he?" Sucharu asked. "I'd recognize that spirit pressure anywhere," Kayane continued standing there letting the person come to him. "That's his youger sister," Rangiku said smiling, "Kyoko." "Oh..." came Sucharu's thoughtful sounding response. He began to squint to see her better. She was getting closer. When he could make her out better his eyes widened. Then returned to normal. He stool a step forward and leaned, still staring. His jaw slightly a jar. Kayane noticed this out of the the corner of his eye. He looked to Sucharu, furrowed his brow amd frowned. He then knocked him on the head with the knuckles of his clenched fist. Sucharu began to rub his head. The beautiful, young girl continued to approach. She appeared very happy. She was still far but much closer. She called out to them, "O~nii~-cha~n!!!!" Kyoko waved at them as she ran. ((OOC: Hopoefully you figured out the ~ represents holding the vowel's sound out. )) "Hey, Kyoko," Kayane said with a light, happy tone. His face very relaxed and lightened up from the arival of his beloved sibling. ((NOT INCESTIAL! Heads out of the gutter, please...)) "Hey there, Kyoko," Rangiku greeted. "Hi, Matsumoto-san! "What are you doing way out here," Kayane said to start a conversation, but this was only half true. "Oh, well I am just out, doing my rounds, you know. Squard 4 stuff. Not that interesting to any warriors like you guys. Hee hee hee. How have you guys been?" Rangiku breifly told her how they had been and sort of what they had been up too. Sucharu just stood there, silently, never taking his eyes off Kyoko. He was hypnotized by her Beauty. She appeared to be about 5'5", having pristine, raven-colored, semi-long hair. Along with beautiful, deep, blue eyes, a pale skin tone, a slender, curvaceous body and a full, but not overly large bust. "Oh, now that I think about it, I don't know your squad mate, here," she said motioning to Sucharu. Sucharu snapped to. "KansakeSucharuatyourservicema'am!" He exclaimed with a bow. "Don't mind him," Kayane said with slight irritation in his voice. "Heehee, okay," "Well, we need to keep moving," Rangiku stated glumly. "Oh, okay. Well, it was nice seeing you two again, and nice to meet you, Sucharu!" She hugged Rangiku, her brother, and then Sucharu (who froze up again when she did) before heading off the way the three had come and they went the way she came from. "Be careful, Kyoko," Kayane called back to his sister, "go immediately back to your barracks as soon as your done with your duties." "Yes, sir!" She called back in jest. "I mean it," he replied with a playfully angy tone in his voice. "Bye, I love ya' Onii-chan!" Kayane continued looking for a moment then turned to leave. The other two followed. Kayane continued with his eyes closed and a smile on his face. "What a great kid," Rangiku said sweetly. "Yeah," Kayane agreed. "Mmhmm," Sucharu concured. "Oh, and along those lines," Kayane began, "lets try not to stare so much at our superiors' little sister, okay?" The tone of Kayane's statement contained a failed atempt at masked irritation. "Yeah, she's beautiful, that much is obvious, but lets be a little more mature here, all right?" "Y-yes, sir," Sucharu said, defeated, "but she really is very-" "I know, SUcharu, I know." Kayane said slightly annoyed. Then he gained his normal composure, looked at Sucharu, smiled and said, "Thank you." Sucharu began to feel better and his sullen expression was happier again. "I hope you boys think the same about me," Rangiku said, halfkidding. The two just laughed. "Of course!" They replied simultaneously. "That's a given," Kayane exclaimed. They continued on there mission with a rekindled spirit. ((OOC: WOOO! Another (long) filler post. But hey, I can progress my character. COME ON PEOPLE! Continue this amazing RP. I hope now that I have made a newer post, people will continue. I was going to wait for someone else because I was just before Ashley who had the last post. But I guess not. ((OOC: OK childies, now i have some time to write another long post. Get ready for some action~))
Rangiku, Kayane and Sucharu continued on from their previous encounter. As they continued their search, Sucharu couldn't help but worry about what had happened to Rantu. "Is Rantu really dead? Did I really kill him? If they find out i killed him... I'll be sent to death..." he thought as he continued walking.
"Damn it, where is that stupid summoner?" Rangiku exploded, being impatient. She then stopped. She saw Toshiro, Kichi and Ryuu all walking around also. "Maybe it's better if we travel in a bigger group. That summoner almost killed me, so he is very powerful." She said to Kayane and Sucharu, who wasn't paying attention.
"Hey Rangiku, there you are!" Toshiro called out. Kichi was a little flustered that she wasn't the only girl travelling with Toshiro anymore.
"Captain Hitsugaya, we need to look for a summoner. He has blue wrappings around his body, and carries a scythe. We need to hurry." Rangiku rushed.
"I know. But for now, let's take a break. I know we shouldn't, but we all have been running around looking for this summoner." Toshiro said.
Sucharu looked at Captain Hitsugaya. He was almost the exact same height as him, and probably the same age. But Captain Hitsugaya was so skilled, that he was a captain.
Sucharu glanced at Kichi, and saw her looking longingly at Toshiro. She was so lucky to be carefreeish, and only worry about looking at her captain and if she could ever be with him.
He glanced at Ryuu, who was so powerful, it was insane. he wondered why Ryuu was what he was. You'd think he would have been anything but a random rogue shinigami. "How did he get to be a rogue shinigami, and where did his powers come from?" He thought to himself.
Sucharu then switched his attention to Kayane. Kayane was living the good life. Loved by all, and even had one of the most beautiful sisters he had ever seen. Kayane was kind hearted and strong and was almost like a perfect shinigami.
Lastly, he watched Rangiku. She was an outstanding shinigami, along with an older sister figure to Sucharu. Sucharu thought how grateful he was to her. She had been there for him, like an older sister. He had never known the feeling of having family, and she taught him the feeling.
They were all perfect. They all had way better lives than he did. He was a last rank in the squad, and was not powerful at that. But now that everyone was together, he felt alone. As he stood off to the side, he was contemplating ditching them, as he knew he wasn't where he belonged.
But as he started to walk, he felt something wrap around him. he was hoping it was a hug for him to stay, but unfortunatly it was not. He looked down at blue wrapping that started to cover his whole body.
Everyone had stopped talking, and glanced at Sucharu and the summoner.
"H-hey, it's the summoner!" Kichi exclaimed.
As they released their shikai, they ran at the summoner, who countered them by tossing his scythe at them. They blocked the scythe, but it kept coming at them.
"Heh heh heh... You should be good hollow food, you weak pathetic Soul Reaper." the summoner said as he continued to wrap Sucharu up. Once he had finished wrapping Sucharu, he made hand symbols as his finger thimbles began to shine a bright white.
A void appeared in the open space, and a dark hollow crawled out. It was like a spider, with 8 legs, each one metallic and spiked like spears. It's backside oozed dark green string, and the fangs on it's mask were like swords.
"Mmm... Shinigami... May I eat it?" the hollow asked darkly to the summoner.
"Of course. I wrapped this one up just for you. I'll be on my way now, heh heh heh" the summoner said as he faded into area, slowly disappearing.
Sucharu glanced at his friends, only to discover they had been knocked out somehow.
If Sucharu didn't do something, they would all be devoured. But he waas so weak, he doubted he could kill this one.
"Why bother... I can't kill you." Sucharu said, "Just kill us now, but please, kill me first."
"Actually... if you're going to be like that, I think I'll eat them right in front of you..." The hollow said.
Sucharu was pissed. He knew he had to do something now. "Loom, Kuraiyaiba!" Sucharu called out. His zanpakuto was small enough to fit in his hand and cut him out.
As he slashed his way out, he saw the hollow pick up Kichi. Kichi had slightly woken up, and saw that she was about to get eaten. She shrieked in fear, and tried to escape, but to no hope.
Sucharu readied his daggerish Zanpakuto, and dashed straight at the hollow. By the time the hollow noticed Sucharu running at him, it was too late. Sucharu jumped in the air and slashed at the mask, but only cracked it.
The hollow dropped Kichi head first on the ground. She was knocked out by the blow to the head. Sucharu glanced at his friends and squad members. He knew he was their only hope, and he couldn't fail.
"Why you little... I'll kill you... you broke my mask..." The hollow exclaimed as he ran towards Sucharu.
Sucharu flipped backwards, and pushed off the ground straight unto the air. As he readied his attack, the hollow stuck up on of its legs, right in his path. The spear-like leg penetrated his left arm. Sucharu continued to let the leg go through his left arm, as he would be able to get a perfect shot at the hollow's mask. As he continued to slide down, he readied his dagger. He pin pointed the best place to strike, right next to his original crack. Sucharu released his slash, and watched as the hollow's mask exploded into a million pieces. The hollow disappeared.
Sucharu held his arm. It was in a lot of pain, but he had managed to steal off some things from Kayane's sister. he wrapped his arm up, and left his group to go find a squad four member to heal his ruined arm. He felt Kyoko's energy nearby, and decided to pursue her for some healing.
~
Kyoko had been worried about her brother, and after she finished her task, she decided to chase after him. As she followed his spirit energy, she felt Sucharu's coming closer and closer. She wondered why Sucharu was coming towards her. Was he following her spirit energy?
She froze, as she felt his presence right behind her.
"Please... can you please heal my arm...?" Sucharu asked in pain.
"Oh my god! What happened to your arm? Where is everyone else that was with you?" Kyoko asked.
"We had a hollow attack, they were all knocked out and i had to kill the hollow by myself..." Sucharu said.
"Here, let's retreat to the underground sewer system." Kyoko said as she grabbed Sucharu's good arm and pulle dhim along. Sucharu blushed a little. "Was this such a good idea?" he thought to himself.
~
Kayane and friends woke up all together. They looked around, and then Kayane asked, "Where is Sucharu? Did he kill the hollow?"
"I think he did... the hollow was about to eat me, but he stopped him. Unfortunatly, i was knocked out after the hollow dropped me..." Kichi said as she rubbed her aching head.
"We'd better look for him. God knows where he is... he could be in serious trouble..." Rangiku said worriedly, "Along with that mysterious summoner."

"Damnit," Kayane cursed quietly through clenched teeth as they ran.
He couldn't sense Sucharu's spiritual pressure anywhere. That was not good. However, every so often he came to splatters of fresh blood on the ground. Sucharu must have been injured when he fought that horriffic, spider-like hollow. Good think the hollow made that arrogant decision because it managed to knock out the top three ranked members of squad 10!
The foolish hollow fell for Sucharu's accidental deception. Sucharu must have realzied it had been left up to him and took action. Or something like that at least...
Kayane came to halt and the others stopped a little bit in front of him because they didn't react in time. they turned around.
"Why'd you stop, Takigawa?" questioned captain Hitsugaya.
"I know where he is," Kayane said darkly.
"Really," exclaimed Kichi, "where!"
"Heh," Kayane grinned. He took a knee and poked a tile beneath him, "right here."
The entire group had questioning expressions on their faces. Therefor, Kayane felt the need to explain.
"Well, you see here," he pointed to an edge of the tile, " there is alot of blood around this tile. And you can see, it gets cut off at the edge."
"What's your point, Takigawa," Toshiro asked, unimpressed.
"Heh heh, my point is that this is one of the entrances to the underground system of Seireite."
"The what," Kichi was clueless.
"One of the perks of my sister being in squad four. I know of some of there little secrets. This," he poked the tile again, "is one of the."
"Go on," Rangiku said, interestedly.
"Well, there is a sewer-like system that runs through out Seireite that Squad 4 has come to find very useful when needing to be able to get places quicker for there chores or when Soul Reapers are in need,"
"I understand," his captain said shutting his eyes. He opened them again, "good work, Takigawa. Forigive me for doubting you."
"No problem, cap'n!"
"Matsumoto, Raikatsuji, let's go," Hitsugaya nodded to Kayane, who returned the gesture. He then lifted the tile and his companions entered.
Once they had gone down, Kayane jumped in with the large tile over his head which locked into place. He landed in a crouch down below in front of the group.
"Ah," Kayane said, standing up, "there he is-" Then Kayane's face flashed to shock.
"Hm, what's the matter," asked a worried Rangiku.
"Well, the good news is, Sucharu is definately down here,"
"What's the bad news," asked Toshiro thoughtfully.
"Well, I don't know whether it's bad or good, but it's news. My sister is up ahead as well.
"You're right, I feel her, too," Rangiku agreed.
"Lets hurry," the captain ordered as he began to run. The others followed.
~
Kyoko sat next to the wounded boy. He was propped up against the wall in a sitting position. He had passed out from blood loss while she was tending to his wound.
"Hang in there... Sucharu-kun..."
Just then she perked up and looked toward the the way she had come. Powerful spiritual pressure was flowing from the direction. She began to panic, for she feared the Summoner might have found them.
As the large mass of pressure grew near, she began to sence it as 3 different enteties. Hollows! No, two of them were very familiae and the other two she recognized as fellow soul reapers. Yes, one of those others was the captain of 10th squad. Along with the lieutenant, and her brother. Her emotion switched again to hopefullness and joy. But the constant switching of emotions was too much and her head fell into her hands and she began to sob.
~
"I can see them!" Kayane kicked it into gear and took the lead. He slid to a stop at his sister and his comrade. He dropped to the ground when he realized she was crying and held her close.
"Oh, nii-nii,"
"Hey, it's all right now," Kayane comforted. He stood up while helping his sister too her feet. He passed her to Rangiku who knew without words he was entrusting her with helping him be two places at once. She clutched the poor girl close and aloud her to "drown her tears in her chest." ((HAHA! Have to have seen like episode 120 or so to know this one. XD))
Kayane shook Sucharu gently." "Oi," Kayane's voice was soft gentle, "oi, wake up, buddy."
Sucharu slowly came to. "Hey," he finally said.
He looked up at everyone to see all eyes were on him. This made him a little unconfortable. Hell, even Kyoko had stopped sobbing and was turned around in front of Rangiku and was looking him. He then realized, everyone was smiling at him.
~
The group had returned to the surface and continued on there mission. They were lead by their captain. Rangiku and Kichi followed behind him in a row with eachother creating a traingular formation. Kayane, Kyoko and Sucharu lagged behind slightly. Ryuu took rear guard and was a little behind them as well. Such was Ryuu's good strategical thinking.
"I want to thank you, Sucharu," Kayane began, "on behalf of the captain, the lieutenant, Kichi, and myself, for your brave acts which saved our lives."
"Oh, don't even worry about it. I didn't do anything but freak out and then cower in fear. I'm no help to anyone..."
"Hey!" Kayane shouted, "I don't want to hear that crap."
Sucahru looked to Kayane. He was surprised to see he was smiling at him.
"You took the best course of action. Not to mention, you saved all of our lives."
"Hm, I guess I did," Sucharu was beining to lighten up.
"You're damn right you did!" Kayane exclaimed supportively.
They continued a little more in silence. Kayane then spoke what was on his mind.
"I know you think you're weak and no use to anyone," Kayane began to spill, "Hell, maybe even that you don't belong or no one likes you," Sucharu stared up at Kayane in disbelief. Could this guy read his mind! No, this was just what he gets for wearing his emotions on his sleeve. But it does help when an understanding guy examines that sleeve.
"Anyway," continued Kayane, "I want you to know that none of that is the case. I know that at least everyone hear cares for you. He looked ahead to see the three looking back with a smile. Kayane still had his. And Kyoko's smile was the icing on the cake.
"I know that now," he said semi-defeatedly.
"Well," Kayane began to add, "as for being weak, I don't believe it either. And I never have. I've never looked down on you, Sucharu," Sucharu was really starting to feel better, "Sucharu?"
"Y-yes, Takigawa-san," replied a startled Sucharu.
"When we get a chance, would you like to train with me?"
"Wha-what?"
"Well, I have just about strong enough to be a lieutenant, but am not needed because of the lovely Miss Matsumoto over there," a chuckle was heard from up ahead from Rangiku, " so I figure, if you train with me, I could really help you unlock all the potential you have."
"Really!" Sucharu was excited now.
"Of course. Just as soon as we get a break from this wild goose chase. It would help alot too because the stronger we all are, the better chance of thwarting this whole situation."
"You're so kind, Onii-chan..." Kyoko couldn't help herself.
"Oh, and Kyoko," She perked up, "I want you to stay with us. If you got hurt... well let's just not dwell on that. Oi, captain Hitsugaya!"
"Yes, Takigawa," Toshiro replied.
"You don't mind if my sister tags along, do ya'? She'd be much better use for healing if she is close by-" he lowered his voice," and I want to be able to look out for her..."
"She'e here now, isn't she?" Toshiro replied with slight irritation that was typical of him.
"Heh, right. You would have said something. Well that settles that!" Kayane put his arms around Kyoko and Sucharu and they continued on.
The sun was setting and it would be dark soon. That meant they might catch a break and stop the search to be continued tomorrow. Everyone could rest and guard would be posted just incase to alert everyone if needed.
((OOC: Yes, very long, I know. I just hope everyone likes it.))

((OOC: LORD those are some long-ass posts! @_@ I hope I can keep up with this intense plot...))
As night fell, the group of Soul Reapers decided to take shelter in an abandoned building. They planned out who would be on look-out duty and when, starting with Toshiro and Ryuu, and switching every two hours.
Toshiro sighed as he and Ryuu stepped outside the shelter. Neither of them were particularly talkative, so the two hours they had duty for was going to pass very slowly.
"I'm gonna go guard the other door, if that's fine with you," Ryuu informed Toshiro. With a simple nod from the captain, Ryuu went to the other side of the building.
Toshiro sighed again. He leaned against the wall of the building and let himself slide to the ground, where he sat for several minutes in deep thought. Was any of this actually happening, or was it all a bad dream? How could the Soul Society have let such a dangerous enemy slip into Seireite unnoticed? It was all so confusing.
He wasn't alone with his thoughts for much longer, however. A moment later, Kichi stepped outside the building, and jumped in surprise when she saw Toshiro sitting there.
"Oh, C-Captain! I thought you would be on the other side..." she said when she noticed him. Their eyes met, icy teal to warm red.
"What are you doing out here, Raikatsuji?" Toshiro asked. Kichi took a seat next to him.
"I stepped out to get some fresh air. It's so stuffy in there," Kichi explained. Toshiro replied with a huff.
The two Soul Reapers sat in silence for a while, looking at the sky and silently enjoying each others company. Kichi had a million questions for her captain, but decided not to ask any of them. However, to her surprise, Toshiro had one for her.
"So, Raikatsuji, what do you make of the current events?" he asked. Kichi blushed deeply because, for the second time that day, he was the first to break the silence.
"Umm... I'm not sure, really," she answered honestly. "I just hope it ends soon, and without much more bloodshed."
"Hm," he replied simply. Kichi turned to him.
"And by the way, you can call me Kichi," she requested, giving him a gentle smile. Toshiro looked at her, a curious look in his eye. "I don't like to hear my surname all the time."
"All right then, Kichi," Toshiro said. Kichi hoped that he would allow her to call him by his given name as well, but when we remained silent for a moment, she gave up and turned back to the sky.
"I guess you can call me Toshiro," he finally said, and Kichi blushed, keeping her gaze locked on the sky. "Not 'Shiro-kun' or 'Shiro-chan', just Toshiro," he quickly added in a stern tone, and Kichi nodded.
"Understood! Thanks, Hitsu- I mean, Toshiro." Another moment of silence passed between them.
"And keep in mind, Kichi, that fraternization is wrong," Toshiro said out of nowhere.
"Eep!" Kichi let out, and quickly covered her mouth as she turned bright red. Her heart skipped several beats as she realized he had seen through her motives. She quickly stood, and turned to leave.
"I-I-I have t-to go!" she studdered, and fled inside. When the door to the shelter slammed shut, Toshiro couldn't help but laugh to himself.
((OOC: I apologize for the hint of ToshiKichi right thurr...^^; But I wanted to progress on their friendship, or whatever it is they have going there. Well, I guess it's Ben's turn now. Ryuu can't be forgotten!))

((Lol, those were long posts...))
Kichi ran to a table back by the far wall and sat down with wide eyes and blushing cheeks. She thought to herself, questioning what she could have done to make him see through her motives. She fiddled with her hair in angst to try to calm herself down.
"Do you love him," came a dark voice from the shattered window behind her. She jumped in suprise and wheeled around to see Ryuu leaning against the window pain outside the building. The question had caught her off guard.
"I, uh, don't know what you mean, Ryuu-kun," Kichi lied.
"You can't hide it from me," Ryuu said with blunt intensity. "If there is one thing that I have that these other shinigami don't is an astounding perception. I can see it in the way you look at him, shadow his movements, even in the way you carry yourself around him."
Sachi felt exposed. Was she really this easy to read? She thought to herself about her feelings toward Toshiro and what he had said earlier.
"And keep in mind, Kichi, that fraternization is wrong..."
Maybe she really did. But she wasn't about to admit it, especially to somone she hardly knows.
"What do you care? What do you know abou-,"
The words caught in her mouth as she looked back at the window to see Ryuu gone. She jumped to the window and looked around for any sign of Ryuu.
Suddenly from behind a hand reached around and covered her mouth as another touched her shoulder gently. She almost screamed and reached for her Zanpakuto when a familiar voice whispered in her ear.
"Kichi," Ryuu said, "It's me. We need to leave, now. Be silent."
Ryuu released her and walked away toward the front door. Kichi cocked her head to the side and followed him. When she got outside Toshiro and Ryuu were waiting for her and motioning for her to quickly coe with her. She silently ran after them and they hid behind another building across the way.
"What are we-"
"Ssh!" Toshiro scolded, "They'll hear us."
Kichi looked at him quizically and looked back at the building they had come from. Appearing from all sides of the streets were multiple hollows that entered the building without making a single noise.
"We need to get rid of them or they'll tear apart more of this area," Ryuu said reaching for his Zanpakuto.
"Agreed," Toshiro replied.
They both inched closer to the edge of the buildings wall. Kichi grabbed her Zanpakuto as well and walked toward Toshiro.
"How did you know?" she asked.
"I didn't," he said. "Ryuu did."
((Ok, someone else post now cause I'm done for now. I'll sit back and see how this goes for a couple more posts and post again soon))

((OOC: Ok, fine. I'll be the one to make up the main plot. We keep passing the torch to eachother and no one runs with it. Here we go. PH34R MY 100th POST!))
Kayane was not asleep. How the hell could be? With all that was going on... but man, did he wish he could. So, he settled for just resting. No need to continue to strain himself. Now was the perfect time to just sprawl out comfortably and relax. Kyoko lay next to him, clinigng to him like he was some sort of giant, sexy, Teddy Bear.
Of course, he would never let his companions know he was still awake. He was listening in on the converstations between Kichi and the Captain. Followed by Kichi's encounter with Ryuu.
After taking in the situation between Kichi and the Captain, he let out a sigh and stared up at the ceiling from where he lay in the middle of the room.
What the hell... he thought, I thought that was the case... Kichi, be careful with this. It's such a delicate subject... I hope the best for you.
He let out another soft sigh.
Suddenly, out the back window, where Ryuu had left his post a minute or so ago, another dark silhouette could be seen. Kayane probably would not have noticed if he hadn't heard the last footfall of the being outside. He looked to the window and froze. The figure was complete with a second silhouette of a scythe.
Fuck! Thought Kayane
Kayane began to act quietly. He tried to get up without rousing his sister, but to no avail. She began to stur and cooed softly. Kayane covered her mouth and her eyes immediately went wide. They relaxed a little when she saw it was just her brother. But his face didn't calm her. It was stern and he had a finger vertically over his mouth so she'd no to stay quiet.
Kyoko nodded so Kayane would know she understood. He then looked and pointed at the window. She looked and her eyes went wide.
Kayane lipped to Kyoko "Go tell them".
Kyoko silently got up and went to the door and krept out.
Kayane krept to the opposite door. He put his back to it, his hand on his zanpaku-to.
"I know you're here... Soul Reaper," the Summoner said, probably grinning.
Kayane decided a different approach to the attack. He crawled underneith the window. He gripped the sil and launched himself up and through the window, landing a drop kick to the Summoner's head.
The Summoner flew to the opposite side of the road and hit the next building with his head hitting the wall. His head impacted the wall, leaving a crater, then he seemed to bounce back and he hit the floor face first.
The Summoner made an atempt to rise tofind himself staring down a katana blade. Holding it was Kayane. He looked down on the Summoner with contempt.
"I finally got you," Kayane said with beastial satisfaction, "why the hell are you here, Summoner, ANSWER!"
"Fool, do you think I'll divulge my purpose to the likes of you?"
"Did I say that? No. I just said to tell me," Kayane became irritated, "and besides, why not me? I doubt there is anyone you'd actaully tell anyone."
"Heh, you're pretty smart, kid," the Summoner said, grinning his teeth.
"Kid? Heh, shows how much you know," Kayane grinned back at the stupidity of his enemy.
Without Kayane noticing, the Summoner had reclaimed his scythe by whatever ability he pocessed. The tall, cruved weapon hoverd just barely over the ground towards it's master's open palm.
"Look out!" came the cry of Kyoko from a small ways down the little street. Her call to help her brother alloud for some amount of warning of the attack. The next thing he knew he was clashed in a lock with the scythe weilder.
The Summoner pressed against Kayane and used the force to leap back to put some distance between them.
"Damnit, you got lucky," the former cofidence had left the Summoners voice.
"Heh, not really," Kayane mocked, "I would have blocked reguardless.
"Just hope your more fortunate the go-around."
"What have I to fear? All I have seen from you is cowardice. All you do is hide behind those foul hollows. No, I should be just fine fighting you. Let's finish this senselessness of yours right here, right now, tonight."
"Is that so," the summoner said with renewed confidence.
Without warning, three black figures appeared around Kayane. One behind, and one on either side. They seemed to look exactly like the Summoner who had conjured them, except they were completly black with no detail at all.
Kayane looked around to see his knew enemies.
"Dopplegangers," He said with some anger in his voice. He squated and then leaped straight up just before they could strike. Two of them collided and fell to the ground. The third recovered from his failed attack and followed Kayane into the air.
Kayane flew up a ways and then decided to glance back.
"Damn," he swore out lout.
He turned to face his attacker. It readied a swing. Kayane made sure he was there to block it.
The copy swung and Kayane blocked and then countered. The abyssal, scythe wielding being blocked and the two began a long exchange of attacks and parrys on there way to the gorund.
Kayane finally was given a nice opening and he took it. He swung and made contact with his attacker. It became paralyzed for a second. It let out a screech and then dissapated into nothing.
"What the hell?" Was Kayane's confused response.
He came to his senses. He prepared his leg and body for the impacted of returning to the gorund.
He landed in a crouch. The other two were waiting for him. He slashed to his left and then right before bringing his sword to his side. Two cries went out and the black terrors were no more.
"Pretty nifty little trick, there," Kayane's eyes were closed and his head tilted down,"but it doesn't change the fact," he pointed his zanpaku-to at the Summoner with and outstretched arm, "that you're a coward/i]!" The Summoner frowned. "Why are you doing all of this? WHY! How can you have control over the hollows! Where is the sense in what you are doing!"
"You want to know," the Summoner began tentatively, "fine, I'll say this. The hollows are easily controlled. I promised them fresh souls to eat and they are happy to oblige. I told them my plan to attack the Seireite. This really got their attention, or what little they have. I promised them soul reapers. With my abilities in my arsenal, I can open up a rift to Hueco Mundo itself and they step through."
"That's all good and all," Kayane wasn't totally satisfied, "but how the hell did you get here!" The Summoner smiled.
"That was the easiest part," Kayane looked at him in astonished disbeleif, "I opened a portal to the Seireite and stepped in."
Kayane just stood there in shock. He then snapped back to reality and his face was composed of pure rage. He readied a lunge and raised his sword across his body over his left shoulder. He pounced at the cloaked man and cried out, "you, bastard!"
The Summoner raised his right arm a little, holding his scythe and a void opened up behind him. He lowered his arm and took a step backwards. The portal closed immediately. Kayane just missed the man. His slash burt a long slice through the wall.
Kayane just stood in the pose of his recent attack, leaning over with his right arm up and out to the right.
He regained his composure and stoop up straight and sheathed his zanpaku-to.
~~(This next part will take place during the above section)~~
Kyoko closed the door qucikly but softly behind her.
"Sorry to interrupt," she whispered harshly, "but the Summoner is here."
"What?" was everyone's reply.
"Ssh, he is on the other side. Kayane is about to attack him."
Ryuu took off to the right of the house to the next turn which was a close distance away. Kyoko went off after him. The two came to the the other side and peared around the corner. Kyoko saw her brother standing with his sword to the Summoner who was on the ground. Apparently, Captain Hitsugaya, Lieutenant Matsumoto and Kichi had leaped up onto the roof and were now peering down at the scene below. Kyoko so the Summoner's scythe silently float over toward him. She realized what was about to happen and cried out for her brother's sake.
~~
"Can't we do something?" Kichi asked franticaly.
"No," was Toshiro's calm reply, "he can handle this. Besides, we'd get in the way.
Kichi returned her terrified eyes to the battle field.
~~(Back to the aftermath =])~~
"Onii-chan!" Kyoko called as she ran to her brother. She finally reached him and collided into his side and embraced him.
"It's all right, Kyoko," he comforted her softly.
Hitsugaya and Rangiku simultaneously jumped down. Followed by Kichi.
"Well done, Takigawa," Hitsugaya said bluntly.
Takigawa Kayane smiled and turned with his sister under his arm and went back into the house to lay down. The other followed at their leigsure.
(( I warned you, to ph34r my 100th post. >=] ))

Everyone had forgotten about Sucharu already. He stood surrounded by three hollows, wrapped in a web of black, silky material. He could not move.
"This Shinigami won't taste good..." One hollow said to the others.
"Allow me. Hello there little Sucharu. I've had my eyes on you. You're not like the other Shinigami are you? Heh, you can tell easily. Look at how they forgot you the whole time. They didn't even notice your existance after your 15 minutes of fame. You saved their lives, and this is the thanks you get, being left in the dust? Please, I've had better friends among Hollows." a mysterious voice appeared out of no where. The summoner stepped out of the darkness, and into an area where Sucharu could see him.
"... Who are you... and how do you... know these things..." Sucharu asked confused.
"I can read human faces like a child's book." The summoner responded.
"I... I don't understand... what do you want with me?" Sucharu asked.
"You would be the perfect person to have on my side. The hollows don't like you, and apparently, neither do your 'friends'. You're an outcast like me. Hated by the world because you are better." The Summoner said.
"B-better? Please, I have no talent. My Zanpakuto is a freakin' DAGGER. My fighting style isn't even couragous. I hide behind the shadows and attack cheaply." Sucharu complained.
"And you aren't the one who is exposing his body to the dangers that are out of the shadows are you. Right now, many people who can't hide in the shadows are in pain, bleeding and dying. You are able to save yourself and kill without risking your own safety." The Summoner argued.
"I suppose that is true... is that why they all think im wimpy? Well I can show them. They won't be the ones who are not being slashed open now will they. Your wish is my command." Sucharu said as he got ready to assist the Summoner in his plan.
"Thank you so much. You can help me a lot. You see, my hollows can't exactly be safe. They are open targets. Though they are strong, they eventually get killed by a Shinigami. You won't have to worry about dying, and you can prove you're better." The Summoner aplauded.
"What will you command me to do?" Sucharu asked.
"You need to forget that you ever cared about any of the Shinigami. Then you need to kill your first target: Takigawa Kanaye." The Summoner commanded.
"Yes, your greatness." Sucharu said as he dashed off to go kill his new made foe.
((OOC: Don't touch Sucharu. I'll have Sucharu strike when he sees a good chance to strike. Just pretend he went "missing".))

((OOC: OMG THANK YOU STU FOR GIVING ME SOMETHING TO WRITE ABOUT!!))
The summoner had disappeared in the middle of battle again, leaving behind several hollows closing in on the group's location. After letting everyone relax a moment after the attack, Toshiro quickly brought the situation to mind.
"Everyone, we should get moving. The summoner brought some hollows with him, and I'm sure they know our location," he explained.
"Where are we off to now, Captain?" Rangiku asked.
"We'll know when we get there."
~~~
As the group of shinigami traveled lightly and silently through the shadows of the night, avoiding hollows and any sort of fight at all cost, Kichi couldn't help but feel like something was utterly wrong. She looked around their group, at each individual, but still didn't notice anything unusual. And yet, the feeling didn't leave.
"Sucharu!" she suddenly yelled, much louder than intended. Everyone stared at her, a few angrier at her sudden outburst than the rest. "Sucharu is missing!"
After examining their party for the young shinigami, they realized that he was, indeed, no longer with them.
"Could he still be sleeping in the shelter?" Kyoko asked, a look of concern on her face.
"No, I made sure we were all out before we left," Ryuu informed them. They all became a bit frantic at the sudden disappearence of their group member. Finally, Toshiro came up with an idea.
"Everyone, split up, now. We can't have him missing, and we most certainly can't have him dead!"
They all nodded, paired up, and headed off. Kichi stood there a moment, still letting the idea sink in, when she felt someone grab her wrist and drag her along.
"Kichi, you're coming with me." It was Toshiro, and when she realized this, her heart went into hyper-drive and her face flushed deeper than ever.
"C-c-c-c-captain Hitsugaya! B-but I thought--"
"Back to formalities now, are we?" he asked, flashing her a smile and letting go of her wrist. If it was possible, Kichi blushed even deeper. Without another word, the two Soul Reapers ran into the night, in search of their lost commrade.
((OOC: Well hey, looks like it was sooner than i thought. I was waiting for a time when Kayane and Kyoko were alone.))
Kayane and Kyoko had split from the rest of the team. Ryuu and Rangiku went one direction, and Kichi and Toshiro had gone another.
Sucharu watched as Ryuu passed by his hiding spot in the shadows. He remembered how Ryuu hadn't even thought about him when he "went back and looked for everyone". Ryuu had forgotten Sucharu.
"Yeah right you looked for me. Take this as a nice token." Sucharu snickered as he threw a shadow dagger into Ryuu's arm.
"Ah! What the hell?! A dagger just flew into my arm! Someone is attacking!" Ryuu said as he pulled his zanpakuto out.
"Thats... Sucharu's..." Rangiku said, as she examined the dagger.
"Heh heh heh... that's right, it's mine." Sucharu said, "See you around..." He faded into the shadows again and left to go to where Kanaye and Kyoko were.
As he passed by, Toshiro and Kichi didn't even feel his presence. He quickly reappeared out of the shadows, slashed Toshiro's back without warning. Toshiro dropped to the ground with blood flying out of his back, like wings.
"Toshiro! What happe-" Kichi screamed, but got interrupted by a slash behind leg. She fell to the ground in pain, and looked up to see Sucharu.
"Su-Su-Sucharu... why...?" Kichi asked.
"Heh heh heh... Off to kill Kayane..." Sucharu said as he ran away from Kichi and Toshiro, laying on the ground.
~
Kyoko could feel Sucharu's presence. No one else could feel it though. Sucharu's spirit energy was very weak, and no one could recognize it was their because of their own energy being way stronger. But since Kyoko's wasn't as strong either, she could recognize it. Kyoko was relieved to feel his pressence approaching until a shadow dagger pierced her brother in the back.
Kayanee screamed in agony. The dagger had gone through his shoulder, leaving a hole. He could not move his arm, and for a turn for the worst, it was his zanpakuto arm.
"Heh heh heh... you all never cared about me. I was just some wimpy, worthless tag along to you guys. And when danger came around, no one was there to even try to help me. Now it's time to pay for being so cruel and heartless." Sucharu grinned.
"Why... why am i passing out... I can't stay concious for much longer..." Kanaye said as he passed out.
"Sucharu! Why... why are you attcking my brother...?" Kyoko asked, heart-broken.
"Why should i care what you think...? You all don't care about me... I'm nothing to you guys. And now im here to show my strength." Sucharu exclaimed as arose from the shadows into visible sight. He glanced at Kyoko's face. It was saddened, and looked very hurt.
"Sucharu... how... how could you do this to me...? When i first met you... i knew you would be someone i could care about a whole lot. You were funny, yet shy... but now... idk if this is even you or not..." kyoko said as tears began to pour from her eyes.
"Kyoko... you... care about me... a lot...?" Sucharu asked surprised. Kyoko ran straight at Sucharu and pounced on him. She kissed him on the cheek as she huggled with him. To his surprise he was crying too. They stood, grasping eachother, crying and kissing for a long time.
Finally as they began to come back to the real world, they thought about how Kyoko needed to heal Kayane. As Kyoko began healing Kayane, Kichi and Toshiro reappeared, followed by Ryuu and Rangiku.
"Sucharu... you killed Kayane..." Rangiku said.
"No, he is still alive. I was gonna save the killing for when i was done playing with his body..." Sucharu said, looking away from them. Sucharu felt a slap across his face. He looked up to see Kichi angrily glaring at him.
"How dare you! You have some nerve!" Kichi yelled.
"Kichi! Calm yourself. Let's listen to his reasoning, before we criticize him." Toshiro commanded. Kichi instantly blushed and collected herself, stepping behind the others.
"I have no good reason. Please punish me how you will. I made a bad decision. Kyoko helped me reawaken, but i still have to be punished," Sucharu said as he grabbed Kyoko's hand. They both blushed, but were happy.
"No use crying over spilt milk." Kayane said springing up.
"Kayane!" Everyone screamed. Kyoko hugged her brother.
"Kayane... I'm sorry..."
"Did you not hear me before? I said no use crying over spilt milk!" Kayane said happily.
After Kyoko healed everyone's injuries, they continued on. Kayane pulled Sucharu behind the others and said, "you better treat my sister right, I love her a lot and if you hurt her in any way, you will be sorry."
"Y-Yes Sir!" Sucharu said, as he ran ahead and caught up with Kyoko, holding her hand.
((OOC: Sorry Wes, but when you brought Kyoko into the story and how my character loved her, i knew i had to bring them together. XD))
((OOC: I think Distrubed put it best. "You're one twisted little fuck". Anyway, I was just trying to make the point that Kyoko was pretty damn attractive and I was trying to make your character be how you wanted him. But oh well, this is totally fine. But if you fucking hurt her, you're soul is mine. *Munch munch*))
After the insane, unexpected, and short betrayl of Sucharu, Kyoko went immediatly to help the injuries of the group. No one really said anything. The Captain and Lieutenant were a little bit away by themselves discussing something, probably there next course of action. They were two silhouettes sitting on a near by roof against thenewly rising sun.
Kichi sat up against a wall lost in thought looking towards the Captain. Ryuu stood leaning against a wall a little ways away. Kayane was lying on the ground with his sister over him. He was last to be mended by his request which he insisted vigorously. Sucharu sat further away against a wall, his head was down which aloud for his hair to totally conseal his visage. Finally, After he began to feel better, Kayane broke the silence of the early morning.
"Oi, Sucharu," he said while staring straight up.
"Hm," was Sucharu's stoic answer. He didn't move at all.
"Please know, with all your heart, that no one here around you thinks little of you."
"I know..."
"No, I don't think you do. I mean, I swear, we just finished discussing this topic hours ago. I even said I'd train you to make you even stronger, and this is what I get," Sucharu sunk down lower. "Listen, I'm not trying to make you feel worse. I can understand how you feel right now. But seriously, man, we all care about you. So much is going on right now, no one is thinking straight. But as soon as it was known to one of us, we did what we could. And don't tell me you don't know this. I know you saw and heard everything. As soon as Kichi realized you were missing, she freaked! Then we split up immediartly to locate you, praying that nothing had harmed you," still nothing from Sucharu, "And Ryuu... Ryuu checked if we had left anything behind, giving the room a once over, but nothing was in it. He didn't diliberately forget you. So technicaly this is your fault, bud, for leaving. HAH! And how the hell could you sleep through that insanity outside? Hahahaha!"
The last section of Kayane's speach lightened Sucahru a bit. *Camera zoom on face (lol)* Only his fouth was visible up close and it was curled into a smile.
"You're all right, Sucahru. We'll all just put this behind us and move on. Don't tell us about what happened unless you absolutely want to." "Kyoko," he said softer so that she was the only one who would hear, "was that display of affection earlier for real?" She looked over at Sucharu, smiled, then closed her eyes and nodded.
"All right, that's fine. You guys have my blessing."
"Thank you, nii-nii," she said as she layed down on her brother's chest. He wrapped his arms around her in a loving embrace.
"Do me a favor though," Kayane said, surprising Kyoko.
"What do you need?"
"Take good care of Sucahru, he needs someone to support him. He's a great guy, but everyone has there flaws. His major one is that he has never really had someone to care for him and when he finally does have people who care about him, he can't easily accept it. Also, something happened to him recently. He is hurt deeply by it. He lost his closest, and until recently, only, friend," Kyoko gasped, "that is why you need to love and support him. He needs someone like you."
"I will, Kayane," she said, eyes closed, "I'll do my absolute best to ensure his happiness."
"Thank you very much, sis," he embraced her tighter, kissed her on the top of her head.
((Well, that's resolved. Whenever Sucharu get's emo., Kyoko can cheer him up so he doesn't screw us over again. lawl. This can go many places now. POST my BLEACHed friends))
((OOC: I weep that this is the only living thread! D: POST IN OTHER PLACES TOO, GUYS!! *shakefist*))
As Toshiro and Rangiku sat aways from everyone else, discussing a new course of action, Kichi couldn't help by stare longingly. Toshiro had seen right through her motives; motives she had thought she put behind her. But so much had happened recently, and with all her turn of luck with getting to work as his right hand man, she couldn't help but let those feelings slip back. And now he knew, to her mortification, and she was kicking herself inside.
"You never answered my question earlier, Kichi," came a voice from behind. Kichi jumped and spun around, only to find Ryuu.
"Oh, Ryuu. It's just you," she said at ease. Ryuu took a seat next to her on the roof.
"Always avoiding the topic," he said with a slight grin. Kichi turned to him, confused.
"What topic?" she asked.
"Did you not hear me when I approached? I reminded you that you still haven't answered my question from earlier. You know, the one about loving a 'certain Soul Reaper'?" When Kichi realized what he was talking about, she blushed deeply and turned away.
"I don't know what you're talking about," she denied. Ryuu chuckled.
"That's what you said last time," he reminded. Kichi sighed as she remembered their last conversation.
"Oh, I suppose I did..." she said softly.
"Then do you?" Ryuu asked for the third time that night. Kichi couldn't help but wonder why he was so persistant. She sighed again, and spoke after a moment of silence.
"I wouldn't call it 'love', exactly," she admitted. "Just 'strong feelings for'. But it's pointless now, because he knows how I feel, and I believe he has feelings for Leiutenant Momo. To be honest, I never had any intention of persuing this."
"I see," was Ryuu's simple response. He grinned to himself. "But there's something you've overlooked, Kichi." She looked up at him.
"What's that?"
"When he told you 'fraternization is wrong', that's all he told you. If he meant it the way you thought he did, he could have put it more bluntly by saying 'I have no intention to fraternize with you'. Who knows, you may have a chance yet," Ryuu explained, and Kichi looked up at him, hope renewed.
"But...how did you--"
"I highly suggest you don't act on that information, however," he quickly added. Kichi cocked her head to the side, confused. "My accusations could be wrong. So just let him come to you."
Ryuu stood as Kichi turned her focus to her lap, recounting the events of the day. All the ones with Toshiro, that is. When Ryuu realized she was deep in thought, he smiled to himself, and turned to leave.
"Thank you, Ryuu-kun," Kichi said softly before he left.
"Don't mention it." He then left her alone with her thoughts.
((OOC: Damn filler posts. >.< Of course, I'm terrible at bringing the action ^^; ALRIGHT PEOPLE!! Last chance to nay me poking at the ToshiKichi until it happens! SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PIECE!!))
Sucharu froze. "How does he know about Rantu? Did Rantu really die? Did anyone suspect it was me, myself that killed him?" he thought to himself. Sucharu's body ran cold, his heart sinking deeper and deeper into his stomach. "Rantu can't be dead... I couldn't have killed him..."
Of all people, Kichi walked towards Sucharu. "You look pale. Are you ok?" Kichi asked.
"I... yeah. I'm fine." Sucharu said as he quickly turned around and walked away.
He needed to go see if it was true about Rantu. If Rantu had really died... he didn't want to think about it. He slipped away and made a rapid dash to the Squad 11 barracks.
Finally he approached the barracks. Inside of it, captain Zaraki stood, along with lieutenant Kisujishi, next to a bed. As Sucharu approached the bed, Zaraki didn't even notice his arrival.
"Is he going to be alright?" Sucharu asked.
Captain Zaraki jumped. "Y-Yes. He is. Now get out of here, you weakling. I don't like being in the same area as a bunch of weak Shinigami." Captain Zaraki gnarled.
"O-Ok..." Sucharu replied.
Upon leaving the building, Sucharu collapsed. He was so glad that Rantu hadn't died. As he laid on the ground he felt a foot step on his face, along with a a gasp.
"You dumbass," he heard. Upon removing the foot from his face, he glanced up and saw Rantu. He was better than ever.
"Rantu... you're ok... but, why were Captain Zaraki and Lieutenant Kisujishi looming over your bed...?" He asked.
"Because of this." Rantu responded, while holding up a bag of pens, "They were going to color on my ace in my sleep."
Sucharu laughed, shortly followed by Rantu kicking Sucharu in the face. Sucharu flew back.
"Owowowowowowowowow! My nose!" Sucharu complained.
"Shut up. Now come on, I've heard about a Summoner or something trying to destroy the Seireite, so let's go stop it." Rantu said as he walked past Sucharu.
"I should probably go back to the others. Rantu, Why don't you join us?" Sucharu asked.
"Fine, I'll meet these friends of yours." Rantu said as he followed him back to where the others were.
((OOC: Rantu is Chad's character BTW. It got cut shorter than it was, because I had to edit Kyoko out of my post so that what Wes wrote AFTERWARDS would actually make sense. T_T))
Ryuu walked away from the building that he had conversed with Kichi on. He thought about her feelings for Toshiro and wanted to get his opinon on her as well. Ryuu thought that he had better have a good answer.
He made his way over to where Toshiro was sitting, now that his speach was complete. Toshiro waved his hand dismisivly at Ryuu with his back turned toward him.
"Shouldn't you be guarding the perimeter," Toshiro said.
"We need to talk," Ryuu said.
Toshiro turned to face Ryuu. Ryuu stood unflinching in front of the captain. The captain nodded and invited him to sit down. Ryuu walked forward but did not sit down.
"How long will you toy with her emotions," Ryuu said.
"Who," Toshiro asked.
"Don't give me that," Ryuu said in defiance.
"Kichi? What of her?" Toshiro asked looking down with a slight blush on his cheeks.
"She loves you, you know," Ryuu said stepping closer to Toshiro. Toshiro said nothing just turned his head to the left to examine something else. "And what are your feelings toward her?"
Toshiro stood and poked his finger into Ryuu's chest. He looked up into Ryuu's eyes with intensity.
"Why do you care so damn much," Toshiro fumed.
Ryuu swatted away Toshiro's arm with his hand. "Because I care about what happens to her, to all of us. I can't let this affect our situation with the hollows. If this conversation offers closure to this situation then we can continue on with our mission. But as it is I need to make sure that something either will, or will not, happen for the sake of Seireitei."
Toshiro stepped back and looked off to the roof where Kichi sat looking at her feet. Toshiro sighed.
"I've thought about it but just thought having a relationship with my squad mate would be awkward." he said. "I know of her feelings toward me; I am not blind. I may pursue this further after this crisis."
"Good," Ryuu said. "One last thing."
Toshiro looked up at Ryuu again. His face was still shrouded in blackness from his wicker hat and all he could see was his mouth, devoid of any emotion.
"I respect you as a soul reaper and do not wish to cause you or the team harm." Ryuu said. "Let this be a warning to you."
Toshiro cocked his head to the side in confusion.
"If you break her heart," Ryuu grabbed Toshiro's Shihakusho, a sign of a great threat, "...I break you."
With that, Ryuu let Toshiro down and walked away. Toshiro brushed his Shihakusho off.
"Ryuu," Toshiro said as Ryuu walked away. Ryuu stopped. "I won't"
"Good choice," Ryuu said as he disapeared into the blackness of the night.
((OOC: YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!! THANKS FOR THE TOSHIKICHI, BEN!! X333)) Kichi sighed. She sat on the roof of a building, a short distance from the rest, and watched the sky. It was beginning to turn pinkish-purple-- a sign of dawn. The second day of this damned hunt for the damned summoner was about to begin, and yet she could only think of what Ryuu had told her. I'm not sure how he feels in return, so just wait for him to come to you... Ryuu had said. Or something along those lines. Let him come to me, hah, Kichi thought downheartedly. Like that would ever happen. It's too out of character for a guy like him... Again, she sighed. Almost unwillingly, Kichi began to daydream of the day that Toshiro confessed his feelings for her. As she played the images in her head, her look of sadness melted into a dreamy trance. She imagined a bright, beautiful day, when Seireite wasn't under attack, and sakura petals falling everywhere. She was wearing a beautiful kimono, and Toshiro aproached her, looking as handsome as ever. Then, after staring longingly into her eyes, he kissed her. Kichi interrupted her own daydream with a giggle, blushing madly, at her own silly thoughts. That day would never come, what was she thinking? For the third time, she sighed. She did that too much. --- Break her heart, and I'll break you. Toshiro replayed his conversation with Ryuu in his mind several times, becoming more aggrivated by the minute. What kind of threat was that anyway?, he mused. It sounded more like Ryuu loved Kichi than anything. "This is ridiculous. How have I been playing with her emotions? I haven't done anything," he said to himself. He glared at the ground below him. "She's the one toying with her own emotions." The more he thought about it, the more having a relationship with a squad member seemed less appealing. It would be downright awkward, since he isn't much of the social type, and he barely knew the girl. Not to mention, Momo would throw a fit. But Toshiro didn't really take that into consideration as much as the former. He grunted irritably, pacing between decisions in his mind. Finally, he stood. I can't have a relationship with her. It's just not right, he decided. I have to tell her now, before she gets her hopes up. Who knows what sort of foolish ideas Ryuu has already put in her head. With that, Toshiro headed off to inform Kichi of his final decision. However, he was cut short ((OOC: LOLOL)) of his expedition when a tall, ((OOC: -er! XDDD)) dark figure suddenly appeared out of thin air. Toshiro gasped, and quickly took a step back to examine the being. It was the summoner. "Heh heh heh, you'll do just fine," the summoner cooed evilly. Toshiro snarled, placing a ready hand on his zanpaktou. But in another instant, the summoner had vanished. Toshiro looked around frantically for him, when he was suddenly hit in the back of the head. He blacked out, and collapsed to the ground. "Heh heh heh, some captain..." the summoner scoffed, and took Toshiro away with him into the shadows. --- Rangiku stood on the rooftop, staring off into the distance. She watched the rising sun as it slowly shined its light on the damaged Seireite. She took in the fresh morning air, prepared for another tough day, when she saw Kichi sitting on the neighboring rooftop, sulking, it appeared. Concerned, as any female would be for another, Rangiku leapt over to her distressed squad mate. "Hey," she greeted, and took a seat next to Kichi. "Something wrong? You look a little down." Kichi looked up at her, managing a fake smile. "No, I'm fine." Rangiku frowned. This girl was a terrible liar. "Of course you aren't," she protested. "You've got depression written all over your face. C'mon, let's girl talk." Defeated, Kichi sighed and decided to open up. "Isn't it obvious?" she asked, as thought Rangiku already knew her situation. The blonde woman thought for a moment, and flashed Kichi a wry smile when she reached a probable conclusion. "Does this have something to do with Toshiro?" she asked slyly, and Kichi blushed deeply, turning away. Rangiku blinked, shocked. "Am I right?" "Is it really that obvious?!" she asked loudly, more herself than Rangiku. Rangiku laughed. Unfortunately, before Rangiku could reply to Kichi, the summoner appeared, floating right in front of them. And he was holding Toshiro...? "Greetings!" the summoner bellowed. Kichi and Rangiku quickly stood, prepared for battle. When Kichi noticed Toshiro unconcious in the summoners arms, she gasped, horrified. "Toshiro!!" she screamed in disbelief, and Rangiku gasped as well. "Yes, I was just getting to him," the summoner explained. "Release him immediately, or you'll be sorry!" Rangiku threatened, drawing her weapon. "I will not! He is my hostage, and you must defeat me if you don't want him devoured by hollows!" As if to emphasize his point, the two female shinigami noticed a large swarm of hollows in the distance, coming their way. They tensed, and when they returned their gaze to the summoner, he had vanished. "Damnit!" Rangiku swore loudly. "If he was able to defeat Toshiro without so much as alarming the rest of us, this is bad!" "We have to save him!" Kichi declared, her voice shaking. Rangiku nodded. "Of course we will. But first, we have to warn the others." ((OOC: Damn that was long. But what's that?? ACTION SCENES?? Ok, they're very minor, but woot for plots~ Just, for anyone who gets carried away with the fight scenes, can I request that Kichi does the real saving of Shiro-kun? I have something in mind...! And I apologize for the random short jokes in there. I just couldn't resist! XDD))
Kayane and Kyoko had dozed off, lying on the ground, Kyoko clinging to her brother once again, both in peaceful slumber.
Ryuu came over to them hastily.
"Takigawa-kun!" He called out.
Kayane stirred. He rolled over, escaping his sister's clutches. She rolled the opposite way and began to stir as well. Kayane sat up and began rubbing his eyes.
"Uhn... what is it Ryuu?" He asked followed by a stretch and a yawn.
"Takigawa," Ryuu came to a stop, "The summoner. He captured the captain!"
"Wh- what!" Kayane came to much quicker now, "That, that isn't possible, is it?"
"Apparently," Ryuu said with a sort of agreeing disbelief, "Rangiku-san and Kichi-kun are engaging him right now to free him."
"Oh, well then let's go! Kyoko," he shook his sister slightly, "wake up. We need to get moving."
"I know, I was listening. I'm ready," Kyoko said before hopping up to her feet.
Kayane grabbed his zanpaku-to. and they went off swiftly with Ryuu in the lead. They didn't have to go far. Not that far away, Rangiku sat with Kichi on top of a roof.
"Oi, Rangiku-kun," Kayane hollered to his lieutenant.
"Mm, Kayane-ku~n!" Kichi called back waving.
"Hey there, Kichi," Kayane said, smiling at her display of affection. It was refreshing considering the circumstances.
"Good," Rangiku began, "you are here."
Kayane, Kyoko and Ryuu all hopped up to join Rangiku and Kichi.
"So," Kayane started, seriousness returning to his face, "it's true, then."
"Yes," Rangiku said closing her eyes, "I, too, am having difficulty believing it. Some how that bastard summoner managed to render our captain useless. This is truely a powerful foe...."
"Well," Kayane began, "well....." He slammed his hist down, breaking a shingle. His face tensed, "what are we going to do about it!"
The others were quiet. This wasn't hard for Ryuu. No one said a word. Finally Rangiku broke the silence.
"We can only wait for his arrival. Then we will do our best to retrieve the captain. And eliminate that damned summoner...." This was getting to Rangiku too. Everyone was shocked and upset about this situation.
"You wouldn't be talking about me would you? <3" Came a voice from behind Rangiku.
Without missing a beat, Rangiku vanished. She stood poised on another roof, her blade at the ready.
The rest of the group stood up. To their horror, their captain was slung over the summoner's left arm. The grotesque scythe in his right. His dark hood still obscured his face. His overall appearance, purely sinister.
Kayane had a tremendous respect for his captain. The sight of him being rendered useless took it's toll on Kayane's heart. His face appeared shocked. And then it twisted into boundless rage. If he was severly upset before, now he was utterly and completely. He stood up, put his right hand on his zanpaku-to hilt, and gently pushed Kyoko backwards.
"Go," he said, trying to maintain his composure, "stay back. Try and hide. I don't want you to get involved as well."
She gave a soft grunt of understanding and began to back up. She then turned a corner and was out of sight. The summoner didn't seem to have noticed her. Good.
"Now to deal with you...." he started walking towards his foe in the air. He drew his blade. He was no longer in some senseless, careless, fury. He was honed and poised. He was using his immense anger to fuel his power.
Ryuu stared at the summoner with intensity. The Captain hung limp over the summoner's shoulder. Ryuu hadn't known him long enough to really make a personal bond with him but he was a comrade nontheless and Ryuu vowed, long ago, not to have an ally taken.
Ryuu drew his Zanpakuto and held it back in a ready position.
"Kayane," Ryuu addressed without looking at him. "Don't let your anger blind you to how powerful this being really is. Control it to a point where you can think clearly and reason intelligently than off of pure instinct."
Kayane looked over to Ryuu and took his counsel to heart. His power steadily grew as he calmed himself and began to think of the bigger picture.
((lol "calm down Wes" remember? IM ONLY JOKING DUDE DONT GET MAD AT ME FOR WRITING THIS))
Ryuu looked over to Kichi. "Kichi, don't let your personal feelings for Toshiro cloud your judgement. We need to work together to vanquish this foe."
Kichi nodded and frowned in hatred at the Summoner. She drew her Zanpakuto ((if it wasn't already out)) and stood at the ready. The Summoner laughed at Ryuu.
"Oh, as a team will you?" he said menacingly. "This will be more fun than I thought!"
He raised his hand and a small rip appeared next to him. It was black and pulsating with an energy like that of his portals. He tossed Toshiro into the blackness and it sealed.
"Toshiro!" Kichi and Rangiku exclaimed in unison.
"He is no longer a part of this," the summoner began, smiling evily at the four. "I have placed him in a different dimension. Your battle will be with me. If you want your beloved Captain back you will have to defeat me."
He cackled as he slammed his hands together in front of him and pulled them apart slowly, making purple and black lightning shoot from the space in his hands. He stretched it out until it was about the length of a person's leg and grabbed an end with his right hand. The energy dimmed and took the form of a large, black sword. The summoner held his free hand up and a purple energy ball crackled to life.
"Now, DIE!" he shouted as he shot the ball of energy at the roof where the group stood.
((Ok i posted again, i want this to live cause it has lots o' potential. KEEP GOING!))
((OOC: WOOT!! Let the madness continue!!!)) ((OH, and Ben, I didn't react how you thought about the whole calming my character thing. At first I was like, no I didn't get to finish so you took it the wrong way, but you made it work. Yeah, I finished the previous post but the browser decided to go BACK on me and erade it all that I'd written. VERY upset was I so I said FUCK YOU and stopped. But oh well, now we may proceed...)) Kayane's hatred grew, and so did his power. "I will end you!" He called out before running and then leaping into the air at the Summoner. He blacked out... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the darkness he stood. Silent. Calm. He was not worried. He waited... Even though it was totally dark, he could still se himself. He also could see... A beautiful woman in a long, flowing, crimson gown, with pale skin and bright blue eyes, as well as long, dark hair. She stood out against the darkness. It was like she had some sort of aura. " I have been waiting for you," she said, gently and with a smile," Takigawa Kayane." "You must be..." Kayane said, trailing off. "Yes," she said, "I am your zanpaku-to. <3" "I see.... then that means-...!" "Exactly," she said in an agreeing, encouraging tone," you are finally able to hear my name." "Please, what is it?" "My name," she began, "is- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kayane flew at the Summoner in full force. Seconds before impact, he cried out. "Migotozetsumei! His zanpaku-to collided with the Summoner's black blade. To the Summoner's surprise, he was sent flying to the ground with great speed and forse. Thus, creating an impact crater. Kayane slowly floated to the top of a roof. He held in his hand, a large, long, beautiful sword. It's handle was crimson. It's guard, black. But most of all, the blade was a vibrant, light blue that radiated power. The wide, long blade had a new, unigque cutting edge. It was beautiful, but terrifying. The edge was composed of many pointed curves protruding from it. ((Will have to draw this baby for you guys)) "Everyone," Kayane said to his comrades, "let us show this poor soul what happens when you upset the 10th court guard squad and attempt to rupture the peace and balance of Soul Society and the Seireitei!" "Well said, Kayane-kun," Rangiku said in admiration, "Growl, Haineko!" "With pleasure," Kichi cried with vengeful glee, "Ignite, Kasaitori!" "Let's do this, "Ryuu agreed, he too with a new found emotion, "Gi!" The four soul reapers of the 10th squad under captain Hitsugaya Toshiro rose into the air and created a circle in the air, looking down on their fallen enemy. They slowly lowered themselves. "Damn," Rangiku said, surprised, "you really got him good, didn't you Kayane?" "Heh, serves him right," Kayane snickered. They landed around the crater and loomed over the man below. "Release our captain, now!" Kichi cried out with contempt. He lifted his arm and opened his palm. Otherwise, he remained motionless. At this gesture the soul reapers stood at the ready. A dark orb of energy appeared in the center of them. The rift open revealing Captain hitsugaya. The summoner's hand went limp and fell back to the ground with the rest of his now useless body. Toshiro was suspended for a moment, and started to fall. A flash went by and in an instant, Toshiro was gone. They followed the flash with their eyes and saw Rangiku on the opposite side from where she was standing with their captain in her arms. She layed him down. Rangiku then stood up and walked over to the hole. Kichi ran to Toshiro's side. "Captain...!" Rangiku stared down and then out stretched her hand with two fingers and began her incantation. "Bakudo, number 1," she swiped her hand horizontaly and bellowed, " Sai[/i[!"
The Summoner's hand were forced behind his back and restrained by the kido. He gave out a grunt and then relaxed again.
Rangiku, using her kido, lifted him up and out of the crater onto the ground.
"Well, let's end this..." she said.
The group of soul reapers all looked at the humbled being with angry eyes. They all readied themselves, and then all went in to strike simultaneously.
((OOC: Well, that's that. Kill him and move on to another problem? After a period of rest, of course. ))
As they prepared to kill the Summoner, Sucharu appeared from the shadows underneath them. "Wait, don't kill him!" Sucharu shouted as he and Rantu jumped into the air, Sucharu stopping Kichi and failing to stop Kayane, while Rantu stopped Rangiku and Ryuu. Kayane's blade pierced the heart of the summoner.
"Heh heh heh... my master is going to kill you guys all later..." the summoner said, before he died.
"You IDIOTS!" Sucharu screamed.
"You're the idiot! Why did you try to stop us?!" Kayane asked.
"Gee, I don't know. maybe because he could GIVE us information on who his master is, and why he was attacking and such. But no, you guys had to kill him. We needed the information." Sucharu replied, "You guys were so blinded by your rage you didn't even think about what was best. If I had just ogtten here sooner..."
"Rrr whatever. We killed him, now what?" Kayane asked.
"Sucharu-kun!" Sucharu heard someone call out. He was then glomped unexpectedly by Kyoko. "Where did you go, and why didn't you take me with you?" Kyoko asked.
"I went to go check on Rantu, my long time friend." Sucharu replied, "Everyone, meet Rantu."
"Hello. I'm Tosu Rantu of squad 11." Rantu replied formally.
After everyone met each other, they all wandered to Toshiro's side. Kyoko used her healing abilities to begin tending to Toshiro's needs.
"What happened..." Toshiro asked as he awoke.
"Captain..." Rangiku said gently.
"Captain Hitsugaya..." Kichi said with relief.
After everyone explained what happened to Toshiro...
"You guys killed him. Oh great. Now we don't have any leads as to why they are doing this and who his leader is. I'm going to go talk to the leaders about this. I want you all to go get some rest for now..."
"Everyone, lets head back to the Squad 10 barracks." Sucharu suggested. They all agreed and started heading back to the barracks.
Once they made it back to the barracks, Kichi walked outside to hang out in the dark alone, as Toshiro watched her go out. Toshiro shortly followed.
"Ryuu, why don't you and Kayane join me in my room real fast." Rangiku said as she motioned for Ryuu and Kayane to follow her.
"Hey Sucharu, I'm kinda tired. I think I'm gonna head back to my barracks and relax. I'll see you around." Rantu said as he left.
"He seems nice." Kyoko said as Rantu left.
"He is. He and I were friends for a very long time. But he was Hospitalized for a couple years..." Sucharu said.
"What happened...?" Kyoko asked.
"He was... attacked by a hollow... we both were, but I got away..."
"Well I'm glad he is ok now... he is ver powerful... his spirit energy is off the chart... he seems a lot like Kenpachi Zaraki, captain of squad 11..." Kyoko suggested.
"Yeah... Seems like everyone left..." Sucharu said.
"I'm tired... let's go to sleep..." Kyoko said as she snuggled up with Sucharu, "Good night..."
"Good Night..." Sucharu replied as he dozed off also.
((OOC: You guys can do what you want with these situations. I wasn't sure what to do anymore, so i had my character go to sleep. XD))
((OOC: It's gonna be short but hey, anything to keep it alive right?))
After the meeting in Rangiku's chambers, Ryuu and Kayane left and parted ways. Ryuu walked along the way passing his sleeping comrades as he went and stepped out into the cold night. He leaned up against the wall next to the only entry way into the place they were staying and folded his arms.
Don't want to be caught unawares, Ryuu thought to himself as he tilted his hat down over his face. He closed his eyes and listened to the surroundings.
Nothing really seemed out of the ordinary: the slight breeze through the streets, things being rustled by the wind and then he heard the sounds of people talking. He opened his eyes and looked up at the rooftop in front of him. Standing there were Kichi and Toshiro.
It's about time those two talked, Ryuu said as he tilted his head back down and lowered his head into his chest a little.
((Your turn spirit))
