((OOC: sorry in advance for LARGE shortness!! mom es yelling at moi >.<))
Rei and Alora walked into their dark dorm, giggling and licking the last bit of their ice cream. They had an excellent night with Merrick, and were still laughing at Ed's birthday story.
"Well, we better get changed and go to bed. You heard him, we have a long day ahead of us." Rei said, slipping off her shoes and licking at her ice cream. Alora nodded in agreement.
"Yeah. I'll let you change in the bathroom." she offered.
"Okay, thanks." Rei said, hobbling over to the bathroom. She wasn't used to such high heels, and it felt funny to walk after wearing them for so long.
After soending about five minutes taking off her dress and washing off her make-up, Rei collapsed on her bed, completely exausted. Funny thing, being so exausted, even after all the sugar they consumed. She heard Alora come out of the bathroom, and also collapsed on her bed. They were both staring at the ceiling.
"Training's gonna be fun stuff." Rei said, grinning to herself.
"Mm-hmm" Alora agreed. She sighed. "Tough, but fun."
"D'you think we'll become good friends?" she said, after a moment of silence. She turned her head to look at Alora, who did the same.
"I think we'll become best friends." Alora told her, smiling.
Soon after, they both sank into a deep sleep, dreaming of what life would soon bring them.
((OOC: OMG! It's now the second day in the RPG! =O Has anyone else realized this entire thing has taken place over the course of 1 day?? XD))

(OOC: One day?! *cries* Ohemgeez... villain time!!!)
Scar stalked the streets of Central, scowling. It was the middle of the night, when most normal people would be sleeping, but Scar was not, in fact, a normal person. He didn't seem to need to sleep as often as everyone else.
He had gone into hiding a little while ago, but the military had grown a bit lax in their searching, and it was now safe to return to Central to complete his god-given task of eliminating state alchemists.
He had spotted Roy Mustang earlier this evening, but had lapsed into a state of shock when he realized that Mustang's lady friend was the stern, gun-toting woman he knew to be in the military. By the time Scar had recovered, they were gone. He couldn't explain why he hadn't persued him - Mustang had been without his gloves, even - but some force had compelled him to let Mustang enjoy his night out with his subordinate.
So now he wandered. There were no people on the streets at this hour, so his footsteps echoed loudly in the silence. Before he knew it, he was near the miltary barracks. Suddenly, his arm, after lying dormant for so long, sprang to life, directing him onward. It fairly tugged him inside, up the stairs, and down a hallway, finally halting him in front of a door. Always one to be polite before a murder, Scar knocked.
The sound of a light clicking on, and surprisingly, voices. Light ones.
"Who is it?" Came a surprisingly young-sounding voice from the other side.
"The hand of God!" He shouted.
"I'm sorry, but we really have no wish to convcert to-" He slammed his hand through the door, and her voice broke off in a strangled shout. He yanked the door open, and found himself face-to-face with...
...two defenseless-looking teenage girls. Pretty, redheaded girls, looking alike anough to be siblings, upon first sight. But the arm demanded blood. Odd, though, that these two weren't state alchemists. Perhaps it was their potential that called for extermination.
Because the arm did call for it. Equally for each. They were both pressed against the far wall, looking utterly lost on what to do. He advanced on them slowly, arm outstretched, and debating which one to rid himself of first.
And that was when they pulled two large sword-shaped objects from behind their backs, and pointed them point-blank at his chest. They had alchemized them when he wasn't looking.

(OOC: Sorry, but I must leave you. If no one else has posted by tomorrow morning, I will edit this post and make it longer. )

Scar was very suprised that these two girls wre such quick alchemists. But, if they were alchemists and they were staying at central, Scar easily put two and two together. "You girls aren't state alchemists, are you?" he said simply. "Actually, we're still in training," Rei said, brandishing her sword next to Alora. "Either way, I have to destroy you," he said, holding out an arm. ~ Kai woke up to the sound of scratching and whining. Teddy was at the door of the dorm into the hallyway and was clawing at it madly and whimpering. "What's wrong, Teddy?" Kai rose out of bed and walked over to the door. He opened it a crack and heard voices coming from the girls' dorms. "I have to destroy you," said a deep voice. Kai knew something was wrong. ~ The girls were scared out of their minds, but for some reason they didn't act afraid. They had no idea why this man wanted to "destroy" them, but they would fight for their lives no matter what. Yet, the girls never actually got a chance to use their swords. Teddy came out of nowhere and bit the man on his leg. The man did a small yelp of pain and suprise, and while he was distracted, Kai came up and bashed the man on the side of the head with a frying pan he had grabbed from his dorm's mini-kitchen. "You just had to play hero, didn't you?" said Alora. I apologize to everyone, I was in a hurry the first time I wrote this, hopefully it's better this way. It won't happen again, promise.

((OOC: dang, has this thread died or something? no one's posted since we left! ;__;))
Scar woke up, only to find himself tied up- and rather horribly at that- with rope. What were they thinking, tieing him up with rope? They had obviously underestimated his muscular body.
He examined his surroundings- still in the dorm. The dog that had bitten his leg was lying a few feet away, and let out a growl when he looked at it. He could faintly hear voices coming from another room, and they sounded irritated.
~
"I'm sorry, guys, I didn't think about that...." Kai apologized to Rei and Alora for the fifth time.
"How could you not think about it?!" Rei asked irritably. "Don't you watch horror movies? You never beat up the bad guy unless you know you can take him!"
"Or have a plan." Alora added. Rei went back to exploding. It was doing a great job of masking her fear.
"But no, you didn't! And now we have this huge, muscley murderer tied up in our living room, and NOTHING to do about it!" Yes, it was masking her fear quite well. In fact, she seemed to be scaring Kai more just by yelling at him.
"Well, why don't we go out there, and try to tell him that you aren't State Alchemists yet?" he said, trying to get them to settle down. But this suggestion only seemed to make her angrier.
"We can't, idiot!" Rei growled. "Because a) he already knows we aren't State Alchemists, and b) because he said he was going to kill us anyway!"
"Well, do you have any better suggestions?"
~
Scar's head immediately turned to the bathroom door when he heard it open, and saw the two girls he had cornered in the dorm, and a boy- apparently the one who had knocked him out. They seemed to freeze up a bit when he looked at them, but they approached him anyways. The girl with darker red hair knelt down to face him, her expression showing fear and anger. The other two kept their distance.
"We aren't State Alchemists, ya know." she said harshly. "Aren't you the guy who kills only State Alchemists?" So they did know who he was. Scar frowned.
"I know you aren't State Alchemists." he scorned. "And yes, I kill all State Alchemists, AND those who tresspass in the realm of God!" The girl winced at this, but kept her stern look.
"You'd kill three innocent kids for something you believe in?" she asked him in a spiteful tone. Funny, her accent didn't fit this region.
But this question bore deep into Scar's conscience. True, he was out to kill all State Alchemists in the name of Ishbala, but had he resort to picking them off as mere children? These girls weren't even State Alchemists, and they might not even pass the test. If he killed them now, it would be for no reason.
Scar looked her in the eyes, and pushed his arms away from his sides as hard as he could until the rope snapped, and he was free. At that moment, the girl in front of him quickly stood up and prepared to fight, her friends doing the same. But instead of attacking them, he headed for the door, and opened it to leave.
"I'll spare you and your friends this time, Alchemist, but be forewarned: if you pass that exam, we will meet again." With that, he left, leaving a very confused and relieved group of teenagers.

Rrrring
"NNgghh..." Roy rolled over, attempting to ignore the sound of the phone. Who would call him at this hour of the night?
It took a while for him to realize that he didn't actually have a phone in his room.
This woke him up instantly; he sat up, and looked around, to find that he wasn't in his house. He was in someone else's house, in someone else's bed.
And he was naked.
Before his brain could process what was going on, the person next to him stirred and woke up, sitting up and grabbing the phone, while holding the sheeis up to nearly her chin. Roy's jaw dropped.
Riza? Oh yeah....
"Hello?" She paused, "Oh my." She looked over at Roy, "No, Kai, I have no idea why Colonel Mustang wouldn't be home. No, he's not in bed with me at the moment. I'll be over there soon; I just need to get dressed. Stop laughing, boy!" She hung up the phone, rather violently, Roy thought, and turned to him.
"Apparently Kai and the girls got an unexpected visitor tonight."
"Santa Claus?" She gave him a Look.
"Scar."
"Scar? But why? The girls aren't even state alchemists yet!" Riza shrugged.
"I don't know, but we should get over there. " She sighed. "pity. I'm tired." He growled slightly and kissed her neck.
"I bet..." She pulled away and turned to look at him.
"Roy...this isn't it, is it? You're not going to go to work tomorrow and brag to your coworkers about the woman you slept with last night and never call? Am I a one-night stand, Roy?" In response, he leaned in and kissed her.
"No. Not unless tonight lasts forever."
~
To no one's surprise, Roy and Riza arrived together. Kai stifled a giggle, but the two girls were to distressed to notice, much less care.
"Sorry," Kai said, "Did I interrupt you guys in the middle of--"
"There you are!" Rei interrupted, "Sorry, but we don't have a clue where he went. if that's what you're looking for." Riza shook her head.
"We came to see if you two were all right." She said, "Are you?" They exchanges glances, and nodded.
"Although once we become state alchemists, we won't be." Alora said.
"Why is that?" Roy wanted to know.
"Because he said 'if you pass the exams, we will meet again'." Rei quoted.
"So, does that mean you want to quit?" Roy asked nonchalantly. The girls exchanged glanced again.
"No!"

Around the same time the two girls shouted "no!" Merrick had walked around the corner that led to the now popular room. "It seems I have missed all the fun." He said dryly as he walked up to the group. "I heard you two had quite a night." he said lightly as he looked down at the two girls. He subtly elbowed the Colonel as he said this then shot him a wry look that said in not so many words. "You're going to tell me what happened after dinner." After all, he told everyone about every other night.
"I assume by your exclamation when I walked in that you are not going to let a little pest like Scar stop you from training. Good." he said. He knew all too well that it was by the grace of God that these children weren’t splattered on the walls. He had been at some of the investigations of Scars attacks and he hoped that the military would be rid of him by now. How hard was it to kill one man. "Do we know which way he went sir?" Merrick asked the Colonel as he straightened up and retained an air or professionalism.
"Now that he has started his attacks again we might need to stay on alert and double up the searches for where he is hiding." He added one more thing as an after thought "And I thought he had finally come to his mind and gave up this religious mission." He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. Looking down at the children, "You two better keep alert too, Scar doesn't have a reputation for mercy." He said with a frown as an image of one of his grisly murders flashed through his thoughts.
(So it isn’t much but at least this thread is getting attention again right??)

After a few more questions about Scar, everyone left the girls to themselves for the rest of the night. Rei sighed loudly, and flopped down onto the couch. Alora took a seat next to her.
"'Bout time they all leave..." she said, partially annoyed. Rei slouched deeper into the couch. "And now I'm not even tired...." Alora nodded.
"Yeah...Should I make some tea?" she suggested. Rei squirmed a bit in her seat, seeming to make a decision. Finally, she nodded, along with another sigh.
"I s'pose. Even if I tried to go back to sleep, I'd prolly just have nightmares about Scar."
Alora muttered a 'same here' as she got up and walked into the kitchen, preparing the tea. Rei looked around the room from the couch, examining the mess that was made while Scar had persued them. Sighing for a third time, she stood, deciding to make herself useful and straighten up the place while Alora made the tea.
As she picked up a fallen lamp from the floor, she heard a faint knock on the door. A small surge of shock quickly shot through Rei's body, before she half-heartedly walked over and opened the door slightly. To her surprise, it was Kai.
"Kai...What are you doing here?" she asked in astonishment. Kai seemed to fiddle with his fingers. He certainly didn't look well.
"Eh...I was still kinda freaked about the whole Scar thing...And being all alone in that dorm didn't help at all,so I came over here, figuring you guys couldn't sleep either. ....Can I come in?" he asked meekly. Rei nodded, opening the door wider for the boy to come in.
As Kai took a seat on the couch next to Rei, Alora re-entered the room.
"Rei, is someone-" she asked curiously, peeking into the room. She noticed Kai sitting on the couch. "Oh, hello, Kai." Kai waved.
"He couldn't sleep either." Rei informed her. Alora nodded, taking note of their new company.
"Well, you're welcome to stay with us as long as you like." she offered with a kind smile. "Would you like some tea?" Kai nodded, and Alora returned to the kitchen, leaving Rei and Kai alone in silence.

(OOC: RP Revival! Huzzah!)
Rei and Kai sat there in silence, listening to Alora opening teabags (OOC: XD) and boiling water.
Kai decided to break it. "So... some night, huh?" he said quietly.
"Yes... it was almost like a motion picture. Romance, comedy, and TERROR all in a few hours," she said intelligently.
"Not to mention you have you State Alchemists exams coming up..." he reminded her. "Our lives have been going through a lot of changes in a few short days.
"Yes, but I have no regrets." she replied.
"Oh?" Kai said questionably.
She turned to him and smiled.
"They're changes for the better. You know what they say-- what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!"
(OOC: Okay, so it was a short revival. GET OVER IT.)

Alora returned with a tray with three large mugs of tea sitting on it.
"I only hope," She said, handing one to each of them before setting the tray down on tha table, "That not every night here will be this eventful." Rei shrugged.
"Well, like he said, Scar will leave us alone until we become state alchemists. After that..."
"He'll probably be standing in the doorway when we go to leave the examinations." Alora finished for her, "We're going to have some problems if he doesn't find a new hobby." Rei chuckled.
"D'you think he'd be at all interested in sewing?" She wondered aloud, "I have a skirt that could use mending..."
The lighthearted talk brightened all of their moods, and soon they were sitting on the couch chattering as though they hadn't just been attacked a little more than an hour earlier.
~
"That was close." Riza remarked as she walked out of the Military barracks with Roy. "Too close. We need to assign someone to keep an eye on those girls."
"No."
"No?"
"If they're going to be State Alchemists, they've got to learn to defend themselves. I wou;dn't be doing them a favor by protecting them." Riza shook her head.
"If you say so, Sir." He looked over at her, and she cocked an eyebrow.
"When did he go back to titles, Riza?"
"When I put this uniform on, Sir." He grinned and slipped an arm around her waist.
"Then what say we head back to your place and you can take it off again, eh?"Riza rolled her eyes. She had walked right into that one.

It was a dark and cloudy day in the city. Smoke steamed from the gutters and leaked from all crevices from the sewers accentuating the cold of the outer surface and the smells of the deep. The streets were packed with angry cab drivers, late business men and touring site-seers. People continuously honked their horns in such a way as make a certain deranged melody spread throughout the city. From within the traffic filled streets came a small yellow cab. The driver was bent outside the window with his cigar dangling dangerously loose in his mouth as he shouted his annoyance of a driver in front of him in a mix of Italian and English. When he finally got the chance he drove around the man and down a street to the right, popping his right two tires over the sidewalk to maneuver around. He pulled up on the sidewalk getting back into his car after fixing his Italian flag antennae decoration. He revved the engine and looked in his rear view mirror. Aidan knew he wanted him out, now. Aidan stepped quickly out of the taxi. He turned and gave the cabby his money who snatched it away quickly to count it. His eyes bulged at the money in his hands and, without so much as looking up at Aidan, he sped off down the street like a bullet fired from a gun. Aidan shook his head and continued on his way down the street. He walked down the sidewalk a ways and came to a Hotel entrance to his right. Checking a piece of paper in his wallet, he nodded in approval of the cabby getting him to the right hotel; it only took him three tries, while the meter was still running of course. He walked up the walkway and reached for the spinning doors when it hit him: I left my suitcase in the cab. He ran down the steps and onto the sidewalk chasing down the cab. Down the street he saw him turn the corner so he ran after him and turned at the next street as well. He ran a few more yards and turned left on a one way only street and was met by a sea of yellow cars. Aidan dropped his head in defeat. He regained his zeal and looked around frantically until he spotted the driver: he was the only one that had an Italian flag floating on his antenna. He was also muttering to himself with the same cigar, now strangely half the size he remembered it, in his mouth while laying on his horn to yet another person slowing him down. In the open backseat window he could make out his silver plated suit case. Aidan tried to think of the best way to reach him but couldn't find a route to make it in time for the light to change. He looked around frantically for something he could use but to no avail, he’d have to find some way to his car and get it back without him speeding off again. He took one last look around and then noticed a long, thick tree branch lying on the ground beside a tree. He grabbed the branch and ran toward one of the cabs. He jumped and slid over the first car’s hood and continued running even as the driver leaned out his window cursing him. He sucked in as much as he could and crept between two cars that were nearly bumper to bumper. Lifting the branch over his head he jumped over another cars hood and reached a place where he could go no further. He looked ahead of him and saw that the driver was only a car away. He leaned over the trunk of the car in front of him and extended the branch into the open backseat window. The tip of the branch hit the car scratching the paint a bit. Aidan winced and looked over at the driver. He was still muttering and took in a hefty draft of tobacco and released it out the window. Too close… Aidan thought as he exhaled. His arms began to tire at the constant straining of his arms and the weight of the branch. With one final lunge he managed to thrust the end of the branch into the window and snagged the suitcase's handle. He yanked back hard with the rest of his remaining strength. The suitcase flew from the cab now unattached to the branch and sailed through the air at him. He dropped the branch on the street and reached out as far as his arms would let him and caught it in his arms. At that moment the light changed and the cab driver sped off down the busy street. Aidan gulped and scrambled back away from the car he was on and it took off as well. He wasn’t out of danger yet. The rest of the increasing traffic now poured in. Aidan gulped. He dodged one car and jumped hands first onto the nearby sidewalk. He laughed to himself and held his hands up to look at his suitcase. They were empty. He bolted up and looked around frantically. It was down the street a little to his right lying in the gutter. He sighed but it was cut short as a gutter sweeper drove past him. His eyes went wide and he took off down the street after the vehicle. He reached his left hand down and snagged the handle of the suitcase and yanked it up just as the gutter sweep drove past, spraying him with gutter water from it gigantic rotating brushes. Aidan looked down at his wet pant legs. Aidan sighed and walked back to the hotel shaking his right leg a little trying to get some water out of his shoe. Aidan was smiling as he reached the door. The man standing next to the door saw his legs and shook his head letting out a small whistle of sympathy. “Rough day?” he asked looking up at Aidan. “Don’t ask.” he replied bluntly. “Here take this.” The man reached to his right and grabbed a towel from within the greeting podium. Aidan thanked him and began to dry his leg. As he focused his attention on his leg the man cleared his throat above him quite loudly as to draw attention. Aidan looked up and saw his extended left hand, palm up and fingers wiggling. The man looked off to the side whistling to himself as if unaware of his hand’s actions. Aidan groaned and dropped the towel as he stood up again. He reached into his pocket and drew his wallet and opened the money fold. He stared stoically at the empty container and smacked his head with his left hand. Damn, He thought. I over paid that cabby.
