Ok, there have to be a few basic rules for any boards that I'm modding. Or chaos will ensue, and no one really wants that, hmm?
EDIT: Adding more stuff to be obeyed. Sorry if I'm kind of anal about this, but since I'm the mod here, then by God, all spelling will be correct and proper formatting will be observed! The really, really important rules be in yellow.
[glow=red,2,300]OBEY THEM![/glow]
1. Post a one-liner, and I WILL be forced to shoot you. Just don't do it. It makes spazzbasket homicidal.
2. No second person. Or first, for that matter.
3. No stealing the story line and sprinting off with it in an entirely new direction. It makes people mad.
4. No rampant, rogue swearing unless you need it to achieve the desired effect. Have a reason, people; we are not sloppy writers here.
5. No Mary Sues (or the male counterpart; Gary Stu [Sorry Stu! It's just what they're called!]). They are sickening, and make good writers twitch. Real people have FLAWS. Your characters should be like real people. Give them issues.
6. FMA yaoi is sick and wrong. I'm not going to say you can't slash Ed and Roy if you really, really want to, I'm just saying that it is frowned upon.
7. No reserving spots. You can't make a post saying 'I'm going to post next' or something to that effect. Because then you end up having people waiting on you to post, and if you don't get around to posting quickly, people get agitated.
8. Read the post(s) before yours thoroughly, so that there aren't any continuity mistakes.
9. Use ze spellcheck, for it is your friend.
10. The enter Key is there for a reason. Use it. It likes you.
11. Tenses, people. Firgure out if you're in past, present, or (Heaven forbid) future tense, and please to stick with it!
12. Be Flexible. RPGs are NOT set in stone; be reasy to admit new characters into the plot at any given time; we don't want to exclude people, now do we?
13. Everyone involved in an RPG must have a say in the plot. Everyone must agree. Or there will be ...Repercussions.
14. Obey. The bloody. rules. plzthx.
So there they are, the eleven commandments. Obey them, and all will be well. Disobey them and there will be...repercussions...
