Tai sat in front of his house thinking. It was around 8:00 A.M. and he was not a morning person. He was a little grumpy, But over all, he was excited, because today was the day that he became a Pokemon trainer, like his best friend since childhood, Aidan.
Aidan was one year older than he was, and was very tall for his age. Tai and Aidan had been best friends for as long as they could remember, and the day he got a Pokemon, Tai was determined to get one. Aidan decided to stay in town, so that Tai could get his starting Pokemon, and they could travel together.
As Tai stood with the wind blowing in his golden brown hair, he waited for Prof. Cedar to walk past his house on her way to her Lab. He had always looked up to Prof. Cedar, not only because she was so beautiful, but also because she was well-rounded in Pokemon studies also, and was world known for her knowledge. She would be returning from an important trip, to give each of the kids in his class a starting Pokemon.
"Well hello Tai, I see you have been waiting for me?" Prof. cedar greeted him as she walked past him.
"Y-yes Ms. Cedar, I have. I'm ready to get my starting Pokemon right now.
"Well, follow me to my lab, but you will have to wait until Ken, Mary, and Lina come..." Prof. Cedar said. Tai then followed her to her rather large lab.
"So look over these four poke-balls, and tell me which you'd like, but don't touch any of them until the others arrive." Prof. Cedar said as she sat in her chair, writing papers.
"Y-yes Ms. Cedar." He said as he looked over the beautiful Prof. Cedar's face while blushing. She had dark green hair, down to her shoulders, and beautifully glowing brown eyes.
"Tai, I'd like to say thank you. You, Ken, Mary, and Lina were all the top students in my class, which is why you get to pick the first four Pokemon." Prof. Cedar said.
"It was fun being in your class, Ms. Cedar, but after I get my Pokemon, you won't see me for a while. Aidan and I are going to travel together and become Pokemon masters," Tai said.
"Well, drop some lines to me and your mom... she will miss you like she misses your dad, ever since he "disappeared"." Prof. Cedar explained.
"I know, I will, but... not for a while, I'm gonna put my full concentration on catching Pokemon, and raising my Pokemon to be like how Aidan and his Larvitar are."
At that moment, Ken Taylor walked in through the door. He looked at Prof. Cedar, then at Tai, and then back at Prof. Cedar.
"Hello Ms. Cedar, Tai," he said.
"Hello Ken, it's so nice to see you. Glad you came a little early too." Prof. Cedar said.
"I'm surprised you're up this early, Tai Patrick. I thought you would sleep in late, you lazy idiot." Ken said teasing Tai.
"Hey, you wanna fight?!" Tai started to get angered by Ken's snobby attitude.
"Settle down you two, no need to fight, today will be a great day, because you guys will become Pokemon trainers!" Prof. Cedar tried to settle the conflict.
Then Mary came in, and hugged Ken. She and Ken had an item for each other for a long time.
"Hey there Kenny-poo, hello Tai, Ms. Cedar." Mary greeted everyone.
"Hey Mary," Tai greeted.
"Hello, Ms. Rill." Prof. Cedar greeted, "Glad you came on time too. Now where is Lina..."
"I'm right here!" Lina ran into the room, "Hey everyone!"
"Hello Lina." Ken greeted.
"Hey!" Mary said.
"Hello, Ms. Tunlare." Prof. Cedar said with happiness.
"H-hey... Lina..." Tai said blushing. He had a crush on Lina for a very long time now.
"OK everyone, you can now take any of the poke balls sitting in this box. These Pokemon are weak now, but they will get stronger as you train with them." Prof. Cedar said.
"Yeah yeah, we went to school, we know." Ken interrupted, "I choose this one." He grabbed a poke-ball and tossed it onto the ground. When the ball opened, a short little lizard came out, with fire on it's tail.
"Ah yes! I got a Charmander!" Ken exclaimed.
"My turn!" Tai said as he walked toward the box. He then reached in, and grabbed a random poke-ball, and tossed it onto the ground too. The ball opened up, revealing a Treecko.
"I got a Treecko! My favorite Pokemon!" Tai shouted.
"Hey Tai, you wanna battle? It will be a practice round, we can see which Pokemon is better." Ken challenged.
"I don't think we should but... fine." Tai said.
"Charmander, scratch!" Ken shouted.
Treecko got scratched, but it didn't do much damage.
"Treecko, pound his Charmander!" Tai commanded. Treecko then leaped towards the Charmander, forcing all it's weight onto it by hitting it with its tail.
"Charmander! How could you be so stupid as to get hit by that?!" Ken shouted.
"Treecko, pound again!" Tai shouted. Treecko then pounded Charmander again, leaving it knocked out and unable to fight.
"That wasn't fair! My Charmander was supposed to win!" Ken shouted.
"Great job, Tai!" Lina congratulated him.
"I-it was n-nothing..." Tai said embarrassed.
"Don't worry Ken, I'm sure you will win next time." Mary comforted Ken, "At any rate, it's now my turn to choose a Pokemon."
Mary reached into the box and grabbed one of the poke-balls at the bottom. She then threw it onto the ground, and it opened up.
"Oddish!" the weird plant creature shouted.
"Wow, this Oddish is kind of cute. I already like it! It's nickname will be... Tulip!" Mary named it.
"And finally my turn." Lina said.
"G-good luck Lina." Tai said to her.
She reached into the box, and threw a poke-ball at the ground. Out came a Mudkip.
"Aww! What a cute little Mudkip! I love this Pokemon!" Lina said with excitement.
"Well, goodbye everyone... Tai said and he walked out the door.
Tai went back to his house, and set his Pokemon free in the house, and went back to bed.
After being a sleep for two hours...
"WAKE UP TAI! WE WERE SUPPOSED TO LEAVE TWO HOURS AGO!" Aidan was yelling in his face.
"Shut up... you know how important my sleep is to me." Tai said as he grabbed at Aidan's blue shirt.
"GET UP!!!" Aidan yelled.
"Lemme sleep for another hour or so..." Tai said, now pulling Aidan's spiked blue hair.
"OK OK! If you just stop pulling my hair, I'll let you sleep for anther hour!" Aidan complained.
Tai then went back to sleep. After another hour passed, Tai got up, and put his black shirt on. He pulled on his red pants over his boxers, and threw a red over shirt over his black shirt. He then tied a red scarf around his neck, and pulled on his red, wide sneakers.
"Finally you're ready... jeez... make me wait for three hours..." Aidan grumbled.
"You know I need to sleep in!" Tai said. He then grabbed his poke-ball, making sure it was still there, and returned Treecko into it.
"Let's go!" Tai said triumphantly, after getting his long awaited Pokemon.
((OOC: anyone who has some type of knowledge of Pokemon can join. And I know it's nerdy but hey it may be fun! So sit back, relax, and let the old you take over! Anyone can use any of the characters I created, or make a new one from another town or one of the other 50 classmates from this town. (except Ken... cause he is my rival) so have fun. And also, I'd like to announce that I would appreciate it if no one would have any super strong Pokemon as their starting Pokemon, such as Ho-Oh as your starter. You can have any Pokemon, in its first stage (doesn't have to be baby stage) but it must have an evolution to it. Ben already has claim on Aidan (if you didnt already know).))

Marcus stood at his bedroom window staring out through the slits his blinds made in the noon sun. He sighed but despite his usual reserved attitude he was happy inside. He had graduated and finally would become a trainer. All his dreams stood in front of him and all he had to do was walk down the road of life and grab them. He sighed again then, just for a moment, he let a small smile escape his lips.
After he put on his trousers and boots, Marcus rummaged through his dresser and pulled out his black tee-shirt and matching jacket that had more pockets then common sense should allow. "I'm going to the lab!" he waited "Ma! I'm leaving to the lab!" This time there was an answer as his mom walked into the room and inspected him. "You should take better care of yourself you know." she said with a sigh. The woman licked her thumb and rubbed at something on the boys’ cheek. "Ma g'off of me." he squirmed "I'm too old for this!" he said then fled out the door with what dignity he had left.
"You are late Marcus, and with the same enthusiasm as always." Professor Cedar said with her usual warm smile. "We still have about half of our pokeballs for you to choose from, good luck." Marcus had walked up and nodded and mumbled a 'hello' to the professor then stood in front of the selection of balls to choose from.
After pursing his lips and tapping his chin for half a minute he selected a ball and then threw it down onto the ground. After the ball opened and Marcus had inspected the pokemon he let out a rare chuckle. He had read about the pokemon Bagon but he didn't expect to get one. It resembled a small blue t-rex that looked more comforting then terrorizing. Before the pokemon could wonder off he called it back and clipped the ball onto his belt. "Thank you Professor, I promise I'll treat him well." Marcus said when he turned to the woman. "I'm sure you will." She said then ushered him out as new graduates arrived.
When he left some of the other children scowled at him as he passed. Yes, he wasn't the most social person in the world and more often then not people just chose to scorn him then learn about him. Shrugging off the looks he walked outside and spotted a familiar face. "Hey Tai!" he shouted then cringed lightly at the volume of his own voice.
After jogging over to the two of them he looked at the other two boys. "I just got my pokemon from the professor, it’s a Bagon. What did you guys get?" he asked as he glanced down at his pokeball again. It was a strange feeling finally being a trainer, but among the jumble of emotions he had the one that stood out the most was excitement. He was going to leave now, travel the area and become a master at pokemon. He couldn't wait to leave and see what awaited him.

Tai glanced at his poke-ball. "So, you got a Bagon? I've read about that Pokemon. It also was in my top favorites list, along with Treecko, Pachirisu, and Bulbasaur." He said to his old classmate, Marcus.
Tai and a few other people were the only ones who were ever nice to Marcus. The first time he was nice to him, it was only because Lina was being nice to him. But after a while of getting to know Marcus, he became a real friend. Tai then thought of a very good idea.
"Hey, Marcus, would you like to travel with us? It would be nice to have you around, plus, the more the merrier!" Tai said.
"Well, I guess... let's study the map and go from there. I'd like to know what route you will start off with." Marcus said.
"What route...?" Tai and Aidan asked at the same time.
"Don't you guy's have a plan of where you'd like to go?" Marcus asked starting to wonder if traveling with them would be such a smart idea.
"Well ok... we haven't quite made plans yet, we were just gonna go where we felt... but I guess we could plan a trail..." Tai said as he pulled a map out of his pocket. "Let's go to... aha! I see... a nice little place called Turquoise beach! I've always wanted to go visit that place!" Tai said excitedly.
"Well... that's kinda off from where we SHOULD be going-" Marcus said.
"I'd like to go there too!" Aidan interrupted.
"OK fine! We'll head there..." Marcus said giving up, because he knew he couldn't win this battle. They really wanted to head to Turquoise beach, and he actually wanted to go there himself. Everyone had said that it was nice, relaxing, and warm.
"Alright, Turquoise Beach, here we come!" Tai shouted as he triumphantly walked down the path with the map upside down.
"Uh Tai? Your map is upside down... Turquoise Beach is this way..." Marcus said. "How did this clown become one of the top smartest kids in our class..."
"I'm not quite sure..." Aidan replied.
"Hey guys, hurry up! I wanna get there as soon as possible! I hear the fish is good, and the beach is better!" Tai said as he walked five feet ahead of them.
Marcus pulled out the map and dragged Aidan over to read it.
"Aidan, this is where we should be heading... Beige city... but... he wants to go here... *points totally in a different direction* Turquoise Beach... but I guess it will mean better pokemon... and-" Marcus said.
"More exercise... jeez..." Aidan said.
"Yeah... that too... but also more trainers in which to battle..." Marcus said.
"Well... I don't think he will want to go to Beige City... I heard it's an old sickly town... with no spirit... just like a ghost town... and he would much rather go to happier places.. such as Diamond Parks... with all their super gorgeous and lively parks... or Primrose town... with their awesome saunas." Aidan explained.
"Well... how about we go to every spot... both good and bad..." Marcus suggested.
"I guess that wouldn't hurt!" Tai said as he had snuck up behind them listening to their conversation, "But first we head north to Turquoise Beach!"

"Hey, don't go anywhere without me! I wanna kick some trainer butt!" Scott yelled, running into Tai's group.
"Scott, where's your pokemon?" Tai asked.
"I've had one all along! Remember? Go Trapinch!" Scott yelled. A small, orange pokemon with a big jaw came out of the poke ball. "Now that I'm 10, I can train him for battle!"
"Eh... I guess you can come..." Tai said hesitantly. "Just... don't get ahead of yourself..."
"All right! You can count on me! And... Trapinch, return!" he said, returning Trapinch to its poke ball.
"Can we just go to Turquoise beach already?!?" Marcus interrupted.
"He's got a point..." Tai said, "Alright. Let's head out!"
The four of them began to head for Turquoise Beach in the north. After about 5 minutes of walking, a pidgey landed in front of them. "It's not worth our time..." Tai, Marcus, and Aidan thought.
"GO TRAPINCH!" Scott yelled. A battle ready Trapinch left the poke ball and appeared, ready for battle.
"This isn't worth our time, rookie!" Aidan said.
"I need the experience. I've never done this before." Scott explained.
"At least look for something stronger..."
"I wanna be able to mow down every trainer in my way!" Scott retorted. "Trapinch! Tackle attack!" At that moment, Trapinch jumped from the ground and charged towards the unaware pidgey, ramming full force into it.
"Wow. You're lucky, Scott. That looked like a critical hit." Aidan said. The bruised pidgey hobbled away. "Alright, let's not waste anymore time with easy battles like these, agreed?"
"Agreed." everyone replied. "Let's move on." Tai said.

Tai walked four feet in front of the others. They had been walking for hours, but couldn't find their way back to the path, to head to Turquoise Beach.
"Why did you chase after ANOTHER pidgey?! I thought we weren't supposed to waste our time with weak Pokemon, Tai!" Aidan yelled.
"Well, it's OK! I mean we aren't that lost, besides, I really wanted that Pidgey!" Tai complained.
"I have no idea WHY I decided to travel with this idiot." Marcus said to himself.
"OH LOOK! A Spearow, I'd like to fight it! Go Treecko!" Tai shouted. He then threw out a Poke-ball, releasing Treecko, a green lizard type Pokemon, out. Treecko looked at the Spearow, and got into a fighting stance.
"Treecko, Bullet Seed!" Tai shouted. Treecko then puffed up its cheeks, and aimed at the Spearow, which had decided to start flying at them. Treecko then opened it's mouth, and had yellow bullets flying out, shooting at the spearow. Spearow took most of the hits, but it still had enough stamina to continue its attack. It then drove it's beak into Treecko, knocking him back against a tree. Treecko jumped up, and ran right.
"Treecko, pound!" Tai shouted. Treecko ran more to the right and leaped, tail first into the spearow. Spearow leaped back up and flew off into the forest.
"HEY! GET BACK HERE! I WANNA CATCH YOU! HEY!" Tai screamed as he ran more into the forest along with Treecko.
Scott, Aidan, and Marcus all blankly stared at what had just happened. "Did he really go chasing that Spearow deeper into the forest?" they all questioned inside of their heads.
"Great... now what..." Aidan asked.
~~~~~~
Meanwhile, Tai ran through the forest. He started smelling salty air, and noticed that Treecko did too.
"Treecko, let's go faster! I think I saw something moving up ahead." Tai said. Treecko nodded in agreement.
They then reached a sandy cliff, and a big ocean. Tai looked to the right, and far off in the distance, he could see a seaside resort, which was probably Turquoise Beach. Tai looked forward. He saw a weird pokemon walking in the sand. It looked like bunny, with fluffy cotton around its body.
"Is that a... Buneary?!" Tai asked. he then ran up to get a closer look. Treecko followed.
"Bu-Bu! Buneary!" the weird creature said. It then drew a fighting stance. Perhaps this would be Tai's first caught Pokemon.
"Treecko, Bullet Seed!" Tai shouted. Treecko then unleashed his yellow seeds from inside of his mouth, like a machine gun. The Buizel used it's dashingly fast speed to dodge all of the bullets.
Tai stood in shock. "It didn't work?!" Tai shouted, "Very well, then i guess I'll have to use pound. Although I don't think that that will work either... maybe... RAZOR LEAF!!" Tai commanded, Treecko then swiped his fists, unleashing very sharp leaves at the Buneary. The attack worked, leaving Buneary unconscious. "Poke-ball go!" Tai said as he threw a poke-ball at the Buneary. The poke-ball wiggled a few times and then locked. Buneary was caught.
"WOOHOOO!!! I caught Buneary!" Tai shouted hugging his Treecko.
"Good job!" Aidan said running up behind him.
"Very excellently planned!" Marcus said congradulating him.
"I'm surprised you could pull that off, then again, you were one of the top four students at our school," Scott said.
"It was nothin! All it takes is determination!" Tai said as he held his poke-ball out.
"So this is why he was so good at the academy." Marcus thought to himself, "He acts like a goof, but he is better than he acts."
"Let's head to Turquoise Beach now, and get free smoothies!" Tai said running ahead again, along the beach.
The group, led by Tai, ran off the forest's trail and toward the sandy beach that stretched off as far as they could see. Once they hit the sand, Aidan's Larvitar jumped off of his shoulder and landed in the sand. It looked around gleefully and began to devour the sand around it.
((OOC: Larvitar does this to get bigger, its in his description))
Tai threw off his shoes and his coat and plunged into the water with treecko. Tai and Treecko's heads emerged from the water next to each other. Tai laughed and Treecko squirted water into his face. Tai stared stunned than burst out laughing yet again. Treecko joined in the merriment. Scott followed in suit and jumped in as well. His poke'mon tested the water with it's legs and jumped back as the water came in. Tai, treecko and Scott laughed and played in the water. Aidan and Marcus walked along the sand and sat down. Marcus's Bagon walked overto the deep whole larvitar ahd created and looked down into it. Larvitar poked its head out and Bagon lurched back falling backwards. Larvitar laughed and Bagon laughed with him.
"Seems they're getting along nicely," Aidan said to Marcus.
"It sure appears that way," he replied.
Aidan looked off down the beach and caught a glimpse of something on the beach where no one was. It was moving but he couldn't quite make it out.
"Hey Marcus," he began. "Could you watch Larvitar for me? I'm gonna go see what that is over there."
Marcus looked over to where Aidan was looking and shrugged an "ok." Aidan nodded and walked off down the beach. As he approached he could start to make out what the figure was. His eyes went wide and he raced to it. He knelt down next to it.
"Oh no, it's a Dratini," Aidan said catching his breath. "Don't worry little guy, I'll help you."
AIdan drew a small orange liquid from within his coat and sprayed it on the Dratini. The Dratini shivered and then its eyes opened. It looked up at Aidan and smiled. It rubbed lovingly against Aidan's arm and sat upright. Aidan pet the poke'mon on its head.
"There you go," Aidan said with a smile. "Go find your family, good luck!"
Aidan stood and began to walk away. The Dratini turned its head to the side and began to follow Aidan down the beach. Aidan turnd back around to see it still following him.
"Come on now, I'm sure they're worried for you," Aidan said.
The Dratini quickly came to his side and began to rub against his leg afectionatly.
"Would you like to come with me," Aidan asked.
The Dratini looked up and happily cooed. Aidan smiled and drew a poke'ball from his belt. He put it on the ground in front of Dratini.
"It's our choice," he said. "You decide if you want to come, don't make me force you."
The Dratini looked up at Aidan and then back to the ocean. It looked back to Aidan, smiling again and touched its nose against the ball's button and it instantly turned into a red beam with was sucked up by the ball. The ball twitched left to right once and then clicked with a "dong." Aidan lifted the poke'ball happily and held it in his hand.
"I caught Dratini," he said quietly. "Your safe with me little guy."
Aidan turned and walked back towards the group.
Tai then ran out of the water, and grabbed his second poke-ball, containing Buneary. He released the Buneary to come play with them.
"Let's play foot tag guys!" Tai shouted.
"Treeeecko!" Treecko shouted with joy.
"OK" Scott shouted.
They then swam around, tagging each other's feet. Scott finally tagged Buneary, even though she was a very fast swimmer. Buneary then swam under the water. She swam until she finally saw a foot. She then bit onto the toe of the foot, making Tai yelp in pain.
"OW OW OW OW OW!!!" Tai screamed continually until he ran out of the water holding his left foot.
"Ok... no more foot tag guys... let's continue on to Turquoise Beach... Treecko, Buneary, return!" Tai said. Treecko and Buneary then went into their poke-balls.
They then headed closer and closer to the beach resort. As they drew near, they saw people laying on beach towels sun bathing or swimming in the ocean with their Pokemon. The population grew more and more until hey finally reached it. As Tai headed for the stairs, in first as always, a guy with green short hair stopped him.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing?" the boy around his age said.
"I'd like to go to the inn and check out a room please." Tai said with a smile on his face, as he pointed to his stomach, "I'm rather hungry."
"Think you're so cool huh? Well, if you really want to go through, fight me!"
"I'll take this battle!" Scott yelled.
"Shut it, loser, I wanna fight this guy happily walking in front of you!" the guy said rudely.
"The name's Tai, don't forget it!" Tai said. He then grabbed the first Pokemon on his belt, Treecko. "This guy must be form around here, so he must have a water Pokemon." Tai thought to himself. "Go, Treecko!" Tai shouted as he threw the ball to th ground.
"Heh, a Treecko huh? Well, try my Magmar!" the guy exclaimed.
"M-Magmar!" Tai said, "I see, so that's how your gonna play. OK, I bet my Treecko CAN beat your Magmar." Tai said calmly, looking around his surroundings.
"You ready Magmar?! Flame thrower!" the guy shouted.
"Treecko, bounce off of that wall, and hit him with a pound!" Tai said quickly, before the fire got Treecko. Treecko then spun around the Magmar, and jumped back, bouncing off of a sand wall, next to the stairs, swinging it's tail at full strength into the Magmar. The Magmar stood back up, and awaited his owners next command.
"Magmar, Flame thrower at the wall!" the guy said, thinking he was so clever.
"Treecko, pound Magmar!" Tai said, knowing that the Magmar was turned around.
Treecko then slammed it's tail into the Magmar, forcing him to go into the hot sand that he was melting when he spat the flames into the wall. Magmar was in a ton of pain, and started going into a rampage.
"Rrrrr... Magmar, Fire Punch!" the guy said. Magmar then built up flames on his fist, and started charging at Treecko.
"Treecko, dodge it and use the wall again to pound!" Tai shouted. Treeck flipped over the charging Magmar, and pushed his feet against the wall. He then flew full force into Magmar, knocking him over. Magmar could not stand up.
"How did you win?!" the guy shouted.
Tai gently walked beside him, brushing against his side.
"Hey, I'm not done with you yet!" the guy said as he stood in a fighting stance.
"Oh so now you'd like to fight?" Tai asked.
"Yeah, I'm 13, and your 10! I could beat you easily!" the guy said.
"OK then!" Tai said as he got into his fighting stance. The guy then charged at him, as if to upper cut him, but Tai spun around him, and elbowed him in the back of the head. The guy fell over, holding the back of his head.
"You fight just like your Pokemon did!" the guy said.
"Heh, you got a problem with that?" Tai said as he walked away, followed by Aidan, Marcus, and Scott.
"That was pretty good Tai," Aidan congratulated.
"That was easy," Tai said. He then opened the door to the inn.
"Can we have room please?" Tai asked as he went to the counter. Aidan, Scott and Marcus stood back.
"You want how much?!!" they could hear Tai scream, "For one room?!" Tai then walked up to them.
"You guys got... uhhh... 400 dollars perchance?" Tai said as he smiled innocent acting.
"I have a lot of money... so i guess i can cover for ONE night... but you must pay me back 125 each. and form now on, you guys make your own money." Marcus said.
"YAY! FREE ROOM SERVICE NOW!" Tai said excitedly.
They then ran to their rooms, where they released their Pokemon and all relaxed, until they went to bed at 12:00, Tai staying up till 2:00.
Marcus woke up somewhat early. He didn't know the exact time but he knew that he was the first up. After rubbing the sleep out of his eyes and remembering where he was, Marcus dressed himself and went outside so he wouldn't wake his companions. Letting Bagon out of its pokeball the two of them walked in relative silence into the surrounding trees. It wasn't long before he heard a commotion up ahead. Marcus picked up the pace to see what was happening.
He arrived in a small clearing to see a whole flock of Spearow attacking an already unconscious pokemon on the ground. Feeling a twang of compassion and a moral sense of duty, Marcus dashed into the clearing to scare away the relentless attacks of the pokemon. "Bagon headbutt!" he yelled as he dashed for the pokemon in the middle to try and cover it up. Bagon growled lightly then charged the nearest Spearow and slammed his head into it. The Spearow rolled onto its back, unconscious. "Headbutt again!" he commanded, this time directing it to a different Spearow.
While he was commanding Bagon to stave off the attacks Marcus had taken off his jacket and wrapped the pokemon, which he had identified as an Eevee, in it. After telling Bagon to attack one more he recalled the tiring pokemon into its ball and started to run out from where he came from. The birds flew faster though and soon Marcus was being bombarded by the still angry Spearows. Breaking out into the beach once more Marcus ran with his head down to the poke center. All his potions and revives were still in the room, he hadn't left thinking to fight.
Dashing in through the door and nearly plowing someone down in the process, Marcus went tot he counter. He looked a mess. He was bleeding from numerous wounds on his bare arms and a couple on his head. "I need help!" he said as he stared down at the unconscious Eevee wrapped in his jacket. He handed it to the nurse and she promptly disappeared into the back. After ten tedious minutes of waiting at the counter the nurse came back out and said "She will be fine but she'll need to stay here for today, come back around eight tonight and she'll be healthy enough to go with you."
"Well, she isn't really mine, I found her being attacked." he said, quite relieved that the pokemon would survive. "She needs a trainer or we'll just release her back into the woods." the nurse explained. Not wanting the same thing to happen to the Eevee, Marcus nodded, "Alright, I'm her trainer then." he declared with a hint of excitement. "I got an Eevee." he said to himself after the nurse nodded and went back into the backroom.
Soon after that he left back to the room and went back up to his companions. "There you are! We thought you just disappeared on us!" Aiden exclaimed when Marcus walked in. They then noticed the many blood streaks on his arms and down his face. "What happened to you?" Marcus slumped down onto the bed. "I went for a walk." he said quietly then rolled over to the phone and ordered them all some breakfast.
"A walk?" they verbally prodded him after he hung the phone up. "A walk," he repeated "Into the woods. I ran into some Spearows...angry buggers." he said as he let Bagon out of the pokeball. Bagon looked around curiously, expecting another attack. After being satisfied he hopped up onto the bed next to Marcus and rubbed against him. "I found an Eevee." he said finally with a rare prideful grin and a glint in his eye.
Aidan smiled. "Very good Marcus! I have also caught a new pokemon but not in nearly as hectic a situation as you found your Eevee."
Aidan pulled a pokeball from his belt and threw it to the ground. The bright white light ((say that three times fast, lol)) subsided and his Dratini appeared. It looked around the room and its eyes rested on Aidan. Dratini smiled and rubbed against his leg affectionately. Marcus looked down at the dratini suprised.
"Where'd you find that?" he asked. He nelt down next to it and patted its forehead.
"Well," Aidan began, "it was washed up on the beach and very weak. It appeared he had been separated from its group. I healed it and it wanted to come with me." Aidan smiled as he pat his Dratini. "I'm glad he's going to be ok."
Scott folded his arms across his chest. "So, is that your second poke'mon?"
Aidan smiled. "No, it's actually my third," he said grabbing another pokeball from his belt. He dropped it to the floor showering the room in another burst of white light and when it subsided an Abra appeared on th floor.
Marcus jumped down off of the bed. "OOO! I wanted one of these too!" he said excitedly. "Where'd you find it?"
"Well," Aidan started, "before we left i went exploring the day before. Larvitar and I wanted to get a good look at the road we would be traveling down the next day when something caught my eye. I looked up into the tree to see an Abra just sitting up on the branch of a tree. I wondered, "How'd it get up there?" but when i tried to throw a poke'ball at it, it telepoted away to the ground below the tree branch. I decided this wouldn't be an easy fight so larvitar got ready. After a while of attacking and missing, because of the telepoting, I finally landed a hit and threw my pokeball. It wiggled a little more than it should have but in the end it was caught. That was my second. And now that I've got Dratini here, things are looking up for me." After he completed his story, Larvitar jumped down from the bed and played happily with the other two poke'mon. "It seems they get along well and that's all I could have hoped for. Return!"
Aidan held out two pokeballs and Dratini and Abra withdrew back into their respective balls. Larvitar stood and jumped back up on the bed and then to Aidan's shoulder.
"Aren't you going to put Larvitar back too?" Marcus asked. Aidan shook his head and patted Larvitar on the head. "Nah, he likes the outside and I don't mind the company."
Marcus nodded and looked over to Scott. Scott returned the look and they both grinned at each other.
Aidan looked up after petting Larvitar. "By the way, have you guys seen Tai?"
"Time to go find me some Orange Chicken!" Tai said as he smiled to himself and rubbed his stomach.
As he walked by a Chinese restaurant, he smelled his favorite food, Orange Chicken. He closed his eyes and walked into the restaurant. Walking in, he bumped into some one with his eyes closed. He fell over, opened his eyes, and saw Ken.
"Tai, what are YOU doing here, you should have been in Beige City right now." Ken said rudely to Tai as Tai stood up.
"Well, I decided to come here instead." Tai said turning his smile into a frown.
"Whatever, loser." Ken said as he pushed Tai out of the way.
"Whatever, I'm gonna get me some Orange Chicken," Tai said blowing off seeing Ken.
As Tai sat, eating Orange Chicken with rice, he wondered what Pokemon he'd like to get next. I think I'm gonna try to find a Pichu next... yeah... I always did like Pichu, but where would I catch a Pichu..." He asked himself.
"Hello Tai," Tai heard someone say. He looked up and saw Lina.
"L-Lina! H-How are y-you?" Tai said blushing.
"I'm fine, but I was wondering if... you'd let me travel with you."
"I-I travel with me?! W-well... I guess... if you don't mind traveling with Aidan, Scott, and Marcus..." Tai replied.
"Yes, that's OK, I kinda want to travel with someone though, and I hate Ken, so I thought I'd hang out with you." Lina said with a smile. "By the way Tai, you left in such a rush, you forgot your Pokedex..." Lina said reaching into her pocket, pulling out a little blue piece of equipment.
"I- oh... OK... well lemme check it out now!" Tai said as he snatched it and opened it. He then looked at the Pokemon Pichu, and read about where to find it.
"Usually located in woodland areas, close to rivers, usually in groups with Pikachus and Raichus," It announced.
"OK, then we are headed to Beige City, since the Lond River is located there!" Tai said.
Tai then took Lina back to the hotel, and met up with the rest of the gang. It was now time to head to Beige City.
((OOC: OK, the reason the Pokedexes are blue, is because they are a new style of Pokedex, a lot better, and more informative so dont ask about that.))
(OOC: I luff orange chicken. ;D)
As soon as Tai and Lina arrived back at the hotel, the first thing they noticed were Scott, Aidan, and Marcus waiting for him. After explaining where he had been, the gang set off for Beige City.
Scott had been pretty quiet for the last few days. He was the only one who had just one pokemon now. He didn't want to get made fun of. So, he looked around everywhere on the way to Beige City.
He frequently saw Spearows and Pidgeys. "Nah, too weak..." he thought. As he walked with the rest of the group, he kind of lost track of what he was doing. After about five minutes, he gave up. Shortly afterwards, he heard someone yell.
"You're useless!" an unknown voice yelled.
"Spheal?" he heard something else say.
"Tai, quick! Look up Spheal in your pokedex!" Scott demanded.
"Why? There aren't any Spheal around here." Tai replied.
"Was I the only one who heard the trainer yelling at his pokemon?" Scott asked, running off to confront the trainer. When he got to the trainer, he furiously yelled, "Why did you yell at your pokemon?"
"It's my useless pokemon. Mind your own business." he replied.
"What kind of moron trainer puts down his own pokemon?"
"You think you'd be better off with it?"
"As a matter of fact, I do!"
"All right, I challenge you to a battle! One-on-one! Go Trapinch!" Scott yelled.
"Heh, bring it on." he said carelessly.
Suddenly, Tai and the rest of the group appeared next to Scott. "What are you getting yourself into?" Aidan asked.
"Just... let him battle, Aidan," Tai said. "He needs some experience. I don't want anyone interrupting him. That means you too, Marcus."
"Will he be okay?" Lina asked.
"He's got a pokemon that loves him, he saved it's life," Tai replied.
"Enough!" the other trainer said. "I won't use this Spheal. As a matter of fact, if you win you can have it! I'll make you cry! Go, Ralts!" A short, white pokemon with a green head and red horn appeared. Tai looked up its type.
"Hey Scott, it's a psychic type! Be careful!" Tai yelled.
"Confusion!" the other trainer yelled. Ralts emitted psychic waves that hit Trapinch, devastating it.
"Hang in there, Trapinch!" Scott yelled.
"Well, looks like I confused it. If it doesn't KO itself, I'll finish it off!" the trainer said, full of himself. Trapinch managed to snap out of confusion.
"Bite!" Scott yelled.
"Oh, what will that do?" the trainer said with a cocky voice
"Bite's a dark type move," Scott said confidently. "You're finished."
"What?!?" the trainer yelled. Trapinch charged at Ralts and sank it's teeth into it. The Ralts cried out in shock, and fell over, KO'd.
The other trainer just silently stood, refusing to believe what had just happened. "Fine, take my useless Spheal," he said, tossing Scott a poke ball as he walked away.
"Alright!" Scott yelled with joy. "Well, let's continue to Beige city."
The gang was now at Beige city. It was a terribly quiet city, and had nothing to do. Old people and sick people walked around the city, coughing and wheezing.
"What's with this town?!" Tai shouted out loud. Everyone looked at him, then kept doing their own business, coughing and wheezing everywhere.
"Let's just get out of here..." Aidan said, as he started walking ahead.
"First, I need to find the river here, because thats where the next Pokemon I want to catch hangs out around..." Tai said as he went off on his own.
"Wait for me Tai!" Lina said as she ran after him.
Somewhere along the Lond River, Tai and Lina walked around, calling out Pichu.
"Pichu! Pichu! Where are you?! I want to catch one of you!" Tai said.
At that moment, Tai got tackled in the back. He turned over, and saw a rather small Pichu with a red bandana tied around its ear, had just tackled him.
"Hey, look! It's a Pichu!" Tai said.
"It looks like a runt, it's rather small in size..." Lina said.
"It does, but that doesn't mean I DON'T want to catch it." Tai said. He then threw a poke-ball to the ground, releasing Treecko.
The Pichu stared into Tai's eyes. He didn't want to have to fight. He just wanted to have an owner. He must have been released or something, because the bandana showed he was once previously owned. Pichu snatched a pokeball from Tai and clicked the button, putting itself inside. The pokeball clicked instantly and Tai now had the Pichu.
"I got Pichu... in a weird turn of events..." Tai said confused. He and Lina then ran back to the town, to heal his Pokemon, and go to the Gym leader, Fren.
Fren was a rock type Pokemon trainer. he was also the leader of the Rock Gym, and was necessary to defeat in order to go to the Elite Four, in the Tan Mounts.
Tai then traveled over to the Rock Gym, after healing his Pokemon in the Poke-center.
"I'm ready to fight you Fren!" He shouted as he walked through the door.
"And who might you be? I haven't had a trainer come in here for months... maybe people miss the sign?" Fren said calmly. He was a calm guy, with gray hair in a ponytail to his back. His clothing was just a long white robe, and sandals.
"You must be Fren?" Tai asked.
"Yes I am. Will I be fighting you today? I haven't fought in some time." Fren replied.
"Yes you will!" Tai said as he pulled out a Poke-ball. "Go Treecko!" Tai shouted as he threw the Poke-ball.
"Then I choose you, Rhyhorn!" Fren said as he grabbed a Poke-ball out of his robe, and threw it onto the field.
"Let's go!" tai said.
"Rhyhorn, use tackle, and squish that Treecko!" Fren shouted.
"Treecko, dodge it, then follow up with a bullet seed!" Tai shouted in response.
Treecko flipped over the Rhyhorn, and spat the Bullets at him, as he flipped. The bullets bounced off of the Rhyhorn, and hit the ceiling.
"That won't work." Fren said.
"I see, in that case, Razor Leaf!" Tai shouted. Tai had noticed a tiny spot on the back of Rhyhorn, made from the bullets. If he could get treecko to hit that spot, he could win for sure.
"Rhyhorn, defense curl!" Fren shouted.
"Defense curl?!" Tai shouted as the Rhyhorn rolled up into a ball.
"Yes, I taught it this myself. With the TM I have, it teaches your Pokemon to curl and defend itself." Fren said.
"OK then, Razor Leaf the spot on its back!" Tai shouted to Treecko.
Treecko aimed for it, but only hit it once.
"Now, tackle the Treecko, in your curled position!" Fren exclaimed.
"Treecko, dodge it!" Tai shouted, but it was too late. Treecko had been hit, and was knocked out.
"Ok then, Buneary, come on out!" Tai shouted. He threw a Poke-ball, and out came a Buneary.
"Buneary, tackle!" Tai shouted. The Buneary jumped at the Rhyhorn, which was now in it's normal fighting stance. Buneary had hit the Rhyhorn in a critical hit, Rhyhorn was almost defeated.
"Rhyhorn, tackle that Buneary!" Fren shouted.
"Run away from the the Rhyhorn, Buneary!" Tai shouted. As Rhyhorn ran at Buneary, it ran head first into the steel gym walls. Rhyhorn fainted.
"Now it's time for Phanpy!" Fren shouted. Fren threw a pokeball, and out came a small blue and orange elephant.
"Buneary, attack it with quick attack!" Tai shouted. Buneary ran at Phanpy, and and tackled it quickly.
"Phanpy, rollout!" Fren shouted.
Buneary dodged the almost certainly fatal attack, but left itself open for a tackle. The Phanpy was reckless, and turned around, tackling Buneary against the wall. Buneary fainted.
"OK, my last Pokemon, Pichu!" Tai shouted.
"I see. This should prove interesting.
Tai threw a pokeball, and Pichu appeared.
"Pichu, Tackle!" Tai shouted. Pichu jumped into Phanpy.
It had little effect. "Pichu, try using the Iron Tail i taught you!" Pichu's tail grew bright, and Pichu jumped at Phanpy, slamming its growing tail into it. It was a critical hit.
Phanpy was not out, but was very weak. "Phanpy, use Body Slam!" Fren shouted. Phanpy ran up to Pichu, but missed.
"Pichu, Iron Tail again!" Tai shouted. Pichu slammed him with its glowing tail again, and Phanpy was knocked out.
"I WIN!" Tai shouted.
"You win, young mster... what was your name?" Fren asked.
"Tai, and don't forget it!" Tai said as he ran up to Fren with his hands out. "Can I have my badge now?" Tai asked.
"OK OK, lemme get it." Fren said as he reached into his robe. He then pulled out a badge that looked like a mountain.
"This is the mountain badge, and this..." Fren said as he reached into his robe, "Is your TM, Defense Curl."
"Yes!" Tai said.
He then heard the door burst open, and in came Aidan, Marcus, and Scott.
"Now it's my turn," Aidan said with a smile.
Ellie ran as fast as she could to the Poke-Center, huffing and panting, carrying something wrapped up in her arms. Her unusually-colored Eevee ran close beside her, doing his best to keep up.
"C'mon....Jett!!" Ellie told him, looking at him out of the corner of her eye as she ran along. "It's not much further, I'm sure!"
Jett's response was uncomprehendable, but Ellie knew exactly what he meant. It certainly wasn't easy to understand your Pokemon when their in the middle of learning to speak the human language.
A few moments later, Ellie and Jett reached the Poke-Center. She kicked the door in, all eyes inside immediately turning to her. She rushed to the front desk, where Nurse Joy walked calmly to greet her.
"Hello, welcome to the Fushia City Poke-Cente--"
"WE NEED IMMEDIATE ATTENTION!!" Ellie shouted, interrupting Joy's greeting. She shoved the wrapped up something at Joy. Joy unwrapped it, revealing a baby Kangaskhan. It was in terrible condition. She looked up at Ellie in astonishment.
"How could you let your poor Pokemon get in such a condition?! And it's only a BABY!" she scolded. Ellie frantically shook her head.
"No no no, you don't understand! It's not mine!" she explained. "I was in the Safari Zone fishing, when there was a huge Knagaskhan stampeed! This poor little guy must've fallen out of her mother's pouch and got trampled. Just, GET HER INTO THE E.R. NOW!!" she shouted, looking upset. Joy's expression dropped a little.
"I'm sorry, miss, but our Poke-Center doesn't have the right equippment to handle such a young Pokemon. But the one in Beige City has an excellent baby care center! I'll send you there, ok?" Ellie shook her head frantically again.
"Wha--t?! I don't have time to get her all the way over there!! That's in an entirely different league!!" Joy smiled calmly, holding up her index finger.
"No worries! We can teleport her there, and put you on our Poke-Copter so you can meet her there!" she explained. Ellie sighed.
((OOC: anime sweat-drop moment for Ellie, lawl))
"Fine, I guess that would be okay. Just do it already!!" Ellie demanded, and Joy rushed off to the teleporter. She contacted the Poke-Center in Beige City, letting the Nurse Joy there know about the transfer, and teleported the baby kangaskhan immediately. Once that was done, Joy returned to Ellie.
"She's safe and sound, in Beige City!" Joy informed her. "Now, I'll lead you to the helicopter. Lucky for you, Xatou isn't half as far as Hoenn!" Ellie nodded, and followed Joy to the roof of the Poke-Center. There, a large helicopter sat, already running, Officer Jenny in the pilot's seat.
"Don't worry, I'll get you to Beige City in Xatou in no time!" Jenny informed Ellie as she climbed into the helicopter, Jett in her arms.
Ellie flashed her a wary smile; she knew all Officer Jennies had a reputation for getting places fast. Dangerously, but fast. Once she was safely buckled into her seat, the helicopter took off, and indeed at a great speed. Ellie found herslef wondering if this was actually a good idea.
Tai glanced at his Pokemon. They were in bad shape. "Aidan..." he said, "I'm gonna go to the Pokemon center, and take care of my pokemon... hope you guys have a good fight against him..." Tai then ran out of the gym.
As Tai sat in front of the poke-center's front desk, a girl ran in screaming and yelling about an urgent poke-crisis (lawl). No one would let her cut in line though, because they were all selfish. Tai then let the girl cut him, since he was in the front of the line.
"Here, take my spot..." Tai said kindly.
"Thank you." The girl said. She then bowed her head really fast, and started talking to the nurse. The nurse looked reassured, and said, "Don't worry, your kangaskhan will be fine."
"Thank you Nurse." Ellie said. Ellie then turned. "Thank you... uhhh..." the girl said.
"Tai Patrick, pleased to meet you..." Tai said wondering what her name was.
"Just call me Ellie." Ellie said with a bright smile on her face.
"OK, Ellie, I'm glad I let you cut, and save your kangaskhan." Tai said, "I need to heal my Pokemon and get back to my friends... they are going against the gym leader right now..." Tai said.
"Let me take care of that..." Nurse Joy said. She then took his Poke-balls, and put them on the healing center. "Oh and by the way Miss... your kangaskhan is going to need to stay here for the night..." Nurse Joy said to Ellie.
"OK, thank you for all your help..." Ellie said thankfully.
"As for you sir, here are you Pokemon back..." nurse Joy said giving Tai back his poke-balls.
"Thank you." Tai said. He then turned around and left. Ellie chased after him and asked, " Where are you going?"
"I'm going to go check on my friends... although... I should probably get my friends a hotel room... I finally have enough money..." Tai said glancing at his almost empty looking pockets.
"Well, I might as well get a room too... because I need to stay here for kangaskhan..." Ellie suggested.
"Yeah... speaking of your Pokemon... that Eevee... is it a different color? I've never seen one like that before..." Tai asked.
"Yes... apparently, it was born a different color... and by the way, this is Jett" Ellie said.
"I see... well.. I'm gonna go get a room, then join my friends at the gym... where are you headed?" Tai asked.
"I think I'll go get a room... then maybe... could I possibly follow you around for a while?" Ellie asked curiously, "I'm from Kanto, and I don't really know anyone from around here..."
"Sure... you can join me for a while... Be prepared for watching Pokemon battles at the gym!" Tai said. They both then walked into the inn.
~~~~~~
"WHAT?!!!" Ellie asked.
"Can you really not get a room?" Tai asked shocked.
"I ran to the train station so fast, i forgot to grab my money!" Ellie shouted.
"Well... I guess you could stay with my friends and I... You could join Lina..." Tai said.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" Ellie shouted.
"No problem." Tai said. They then went back to see the battles at the Pokemon gym.

((OOC: This takes place when Tai runs off))
Aidan nodded and Tai ran through the doors to the pokemon center. Aidan returned his focus to Fren.
"I'm sorry Aidan but these two are tired," he said. "I'm going to have to fight you with two other pokemon instead."
"No problem," Aidan said, "I'm ready."
A man walked over to the left side of the feild with two flags, a red and green one, raised into the air. "In this corner," he beckoned at Aidan, " We have the challenger, Aidan Kaal. And in this corner we have Fren the gym leader of Beige city! You may begin whenever your ready"
Fren smiled and grabbed a pokeball from his belt. "Ok, just don't think I'll go easy on you. Go Sandshrew!"
Fren through his pokeball to the center of the feild. The ball errupted into a brilliant white light. When the light subsided a sandshrew sat there licking its paw. Once he realized he was out of his pokeball he jumped up and got ready to fight.
"All right then," Aidan said, "go Abra!"
He, too, threw his pokeball onto the feild and once the light cleared an Abra sat in its place. Fren laughed.
"I'll make short work of this. Sandshrew, rollout!" he said.
The Sandshrew perked up and ran straight for Abra. He jumped up into the air and rolled up into a ball and sped right for Abra.
"Abra, teleport!"
Right when Sandshrew was going to make contact, Abra dissapeared in a flash of light and appeared right behind it. The Sandshrew sped forward and slammed into the wall. The Sandshrew laid on the ground for a minute, dazed, and then got right back up ready for more.
Fren scowled and raised his hand pointing at the Abra. "Sandshrew, hit it again with your rollout!"
The Sandshrew immediatly rolled into a ball and headed straight for Abra once more. If I time it right, Fren thought, I can strike him. Abra's only know teleport anyway. This'll still be a peice of cake. Sandshrew bared down on Abra again.
"Abra, teleport again!"
Abra's head perked up and it teleported again. It appeared behind the Sandshrew about five feet away. Fren smiled.
"Sandshrew turn around now!" he yelled.
Sandshrew leaned right and spun around headed for Abra yet again closing in fast. Aidan smiled. As expected.
"Abra!" Aidan called. "Psychic!"
Fren gaped and tried to call off his Sandshrew but he was going to fast to stop, it was now or never. Abra stood and held its hands out in front of it. Its body began to glow a blue color and Sandshrew stopped dead in its tracks. The Sandshrew looked around in panic wondering why it stopped. He then slowly raised into the air. Abra then opened its eyes, now glowing blue, and thrust its arms forward. The Sandshrew instantly shot acroos the room and collided with the far wall. After the smoke cleared the Sandshrew lay there dazed and out of it.
"Winner, Aidan!" the man said as he raised the green flag. Aidan smiled. Abra looked over at Aidan and plopped down on the ground. He teleported over to Aidan and Aidan patted his head. "Good job Abra, you need some rest. return!"
Abra looked up at Aidan and gave him a thumbs up as he dissapeared into the pokeball. Aidan then looked back up at Fren who was kneeling over his Sandshrew. "Good job Sandshrew you did your best. Time for you to rest." The Sandshrew then returned into his pokeball after giving his trainer a slight coo of affection. Fren then stood and walked back to his box on the floor. "Good job Aidan, but this next battle will be your last. It was a good effort but you've only come this far to fail."
"We'll see about that," Aidan said defiantly.
Fren reached onto his belt and pulled out another pokeball, this one blue. "Go Onix!"
He threw the blue pokeball into the feild. Once it struck the ground the room was lit with a blinding light. Aidan squinted and put his arm up. Once the light cleared he looked up to find an Onix looking down on him growling. Aidan's grinned fell and he looked around his shoulder. Larvitar came to his face. "You think you can take him Larvitar?" Aidan asked. Larvitar looked the Onix up and down and then nodded with a smile. "Good, get out there buddy!"
Larvitar replied with, "Larvitar!" and sped off to the feild. He stood in front of the Onix and got ready. The man with the flags raised them up. "Round two will now commence. The winner of this battle will be the winner of the gym badge. You may begin n-"
The man was interupted by two people bursting through the door. It was Tai and a girl Aidan had never seen before. Tai leaned over clutching his knees breathing hard. "Geez! I almost missed it!" he said panting. "Ok, I'm good. Hey Aidan, did ya kick his butt?"
Aidan smiled and waved at Tai. "Yeah I won the first round but we're kinda waiting to start the second round," Aidan said motioning over to the annoyed looking flag holder. Tai looked and jumped up quickly grabbing the back of his head with a nervous smirk on his face.
((OOC: Anime sweat drop time))
"Oh, ok. Continue then..." he said as he inched away to the group of others giving him awkward looks. Aidan shook his head smiling. The flag holder dropped his arms and muttered a soft, "now..."
Fren was first to act again. "Onix, bind!" The onix whipped its tail toward Larvitar. "Larvitar, Dodge its tail!" Larvitar jumped out of the way in time and the Onix's tail slammed into the ground. Fren didn't back down. "Onix, slam!" When Larvitar landed he was struck by the Onix's head. "Larvitar!" Aidan yelled. Larvitar staggered to get up but eventually did. It looks like i can't fight him up close, he thought, but there's always another way. "Larvitar, dig now!"
Larvitar turned back toward Aidan. Aidan was smiling. This is your favorite, he thought, you love dirt. Eat away! Larvitar smiled back and dove toward the ground. He instantly burrowed beneath the ground. Fren looked around confused. "Where'd he go?" His Onix, too, was confused. A soft grinding sound was heard around the gym. "What is that," Fren asked nobody. As if on cue the ground beneath Onix gave away and it fell through the hole. It let out a frightened cry and plunged down into the ground. "Onix!" Fren yelled. After a minute the cry stopped echoing through the gym and then Larvitar jumped up from the hole. He patted his now round belly and let out a satisfied, "belch." The flag holder raised the green flag once more. "Winner, Aidan Kaal!" Aidan laughed and ran out toward Larvitar. Larvitar also sped toward Aidan and lept into his arms. "Good job buddy!" he complimented his pokemon. "I knew you could do it!" Larvitar cooed and affectionatly clung to his master. The group congradulated Aidan on a great victory. Fren, after walking to the whole and retrieving his Onix, also joined in with the group. "Good job Aidan, you are a great trainer and your pokemon are very well trained. It would be an honor to give you this mountain badge! You've earned it."
Aidan took the badge and smiled. "I got the mountain badge!" Aidan and the group thanked Fren and they left the gym, filled with enthusiasm and with new hope on their journey.

Ellie fiddled with her fingers as she watched Tai's group of friends congradulate Aiden. She felt very out of place with them, almost as if she were barging in on their journey. She sighed, and leaned against the wall of the gym, as she felt something soft brush against her leg. She looked down to see Jett rubbing against her leg, giving her a look that said "cheer up!" She smiled, and bent down to pet his unusual black fur.
"How do you think that little Kangaskhan is, Jett?" she asked as he lept onto her lap. He shrugged; he was too embarrassed to attempt human language around a group of strangers. Ellie looked up and noticed Tai walking over to her, his friends behind him. She stood, Jett jumping from her lap to the ground.
"Guys, this is Ellie." he introduced. "I met her in the Poke-Center." They all greeted her, and she bowed. "She's gonna be staying with us for a bit while her Kangaskhan heals." Tai added. Ellie blushed, and scratched the back of her head.
((OOC: anime sweat drop time! *ding*))
"Yeah, thanks so much for letting me stay with you. I'll pay you back someday!" she thanked. Marcus noticed Jett as they carried on their conversation.
"Hey, what's with your Eevee?" he asked. Ellie brought her attention to him.
"Oh, I'm not sure, I just found him like that. This is Jett, by the way." she explained. Marcus nodded as he patted Jett on the head.
"I have an Eevee, too. I just got it this morning." He then took a PokeBall from his belt and released the Pokemon inside, which was a normal colored Eevee. It noticed Jett, and they started playing. Tai put his hands behind his head and sort of streached.
"Let's go check out our hotel guys!" he said as he headed for the gym doors, not waiting for anyone else. They all nodded in agreement, and Marcus returned his Eevee. Ellie flipped her curly, black hair over her shoulder and followed them, trailing somewhat behind. Tai and his group of friends reminded her of the friends she was forced to leave behind in Kanto.
((OOC: if someone plans on writing bits with Ellie in the next post, note that she is a little emo now. also note that Jett is learning english, if you plan on writing him too.))

Marcus still stood in the gym as his friends started to leave. He hadn't fought yet but truthfully, he didn't know if he could beat the gym leader yet. All his pokemon weren’t vastly effective against ground or rock pokemon. Maybe if he could find the proper technique...Marcus sighed. "Hey wait up!" he called as he realized everyone was gone. Stopping at the door he turned and stared at Fren. "I'll be back for you tomorrow." He said in the most threatening tone a 10 year old could muster.
Once he caught up to the group they all went to the hotel room and were able to relax and socialize. Usually Marcus wasn't one to talk to someone he didn't know and because of such he was somewhat standoffish to Ellie. She did have an Eevee though, and a rather unique one at that. Speaking of Eevee... He thought then took the pokeball off his belt and let his Eevee out.
The pokemon cooed then leapt up onto his lap and started rubbing affectionately against him. "She’s been like this ever since she healed after I found her." he explained as he saw Ellie looking at him.
"She knows you rescued her." Ellie replied after seeing the affection that the Eevee was giving Marcus. The boy smiled then gently patted the Eevee on the head. Sparing a glance out the window he let a light gasp escape his mouth. "it got dark fast," he said to himself. "I...have to go do something." he said with a mischievous smile. He returned his Eevee and then with another mischievous smile, slunk out of the door.
Beige City was called a ghost town for a reason. In the day time the environment was dreary and dull. At night it was no different except that there was little light and even less people around. After walking down a small side street Marcus knew he had found what he was looking for. The house had to be abandoned for some time, the shudders were falling off and all the paint was peeling. He smiled then went over and tried the door. It was locked.
"Go figure..." he said to himself then went around to the back and tried to open a window. The window hadn't been opened in some time though and it had gotten stuck long ago. Sighing he took out his pokeball that had Bagon inside it. He didn't want to have to get in like this but he could see no other way. Calling out Bagon he instructed him to head butt a weak spot in the wall. It was in the back of the house so unless someone came around to inspect the house, no one would see the hole. After returning his pokemon Marcus got down on his hands and knees then squeezed through the hole.
After standing up and dusting himself off, Marcus shivered. The house was a lot scarier inside then out. "Maybe I should have invited one of them to come along..." he said as he heard a light creak. [No, I came here for a reason and I need to do this myself./i] He mentally scolded himself then forced himself to walk. He headed for the cellar first, thinking it the best place to look first. Three times before he got down to the cellar he had felt a chill wind pass by him, a shadow move in the corner.
Finally getting to the cellar Marcus looked around. He couldn't see anything very far from his face it was so dark. He tried the light switch but to no surprise there was no electricity. He shivered again then sent out Bagon. Soon enough his eyes adjusted and he could see relatively far. Once or twice he thought he saw a face peeping out of the wall or heard a light chuckle behind him. HE bent down and put a small spike collar around Bagons neck. "This will help you be less afraid..." he said to the pokemon "now only if I had one..." he said as he stood back up.
Then It happened. One of the pokemon he had sought after inside this wretched place finally appeared and rushed Bagon. The Gastly stared Bagon down and went to lick the smaller pokemon. "Dodge aside and then bite it Bagon!" he said enthusiastically, both thrilled and slightly scared at the sight of a Gastly. To his satisfaction, the attack had an effect on the ghost and it appeared much weaker and more substantial. Knowing that this was his chance he grabbed an empty pokeball and threw it at the Gastly. To his thrill again, the pokeball didn't pass through the ghost but instead opened up and sucked it in. The ball twitched twice then stopped. "I caught Gastly!" he said excitedly as he hugged Bagon.
That wasn't the only pokemon he was after tonight though, and hopefully he would be able to find it. Walking up the stairs hurriedly, Marcus continued up to the second story. There were holes in the upper floors so he would have to be careful, but hopefully he would find his next pokemon rather quickly. He creaked open a door and shuttered in spite of himself. It must have at one time been a little girl’s room. There was a toy crib in one corner filled with small dolls and puppets and in another corner a toy horse and so forth. Walking over to the toy crib he looked through and took out his pokeball for Bagon again and right when he called him out, a Shuppet launched its self out at him.
In panic Marcus forgot what he was doing and Bagon was attacked, resulting in his collar coming off. "Bite him Bagon!" he said rapidly as he spotted the collar on the ground. Bagon did as he was told and locked his jaws on the puppet-looking ghost pokemon. It let out a light scream and then flopped around on the floor. Marcus quickly threw his pokeball and the Shuppet knocked around three times inside before giving up. "Yes!" Marcus said excitedly then thought it very prudent to grab Bagon, the collar, and leave very quickly.
He crawled out the same hole down the stairs then went to the poke center to heal his two new pokemon. Nurse Joy did so quickly with her patent smile then returned his pokemon. Marcus then hurried off to the hotel where he was greeted by many odd glances and curious questions. "You'll all see tomorrow, I promise." he said with a grin as he sat down where he was supposed to sleep. "What all did I miss?" he asked with a crocked grin.
(Wow, didn’t mean to make it this long...but anyways, I had to have him catch both of his true ghost pokemon here because there probably wont be another place later on in the story where he can find pure ghost pokemon, sorry if I made it seem like I’m collecting them all rather fast. I won’t get my next one for a while.)

((OOC: POKe'MON!! GOTTA CATCH 'eM ALL!!! lol)) Aidan cocked an eyebrow at Marcus. "Nothing much except Larvitar got loose and ate a kitty litter box. Other than that we've just been sitting here eating and talking about stuff." Marcus chuckled and layed down on the bed. His head hit something soft so he thought is was a pillow. He closed his eyes and exhaled. "Eh-hem." Marcus opened his eyes and saw Ellie's annoyed face. Marcus lurched forward and turned bright red. "Oh, I'm sorry!" ((Anime sweatdrop)) Everyone else laughed. After a little more talking they decided to call it a night and go to sleep, they had a big day ahead of them. They all layed down and Zukuto turned out the light. The darkness and silence was broken by a gurgling and rumbling from Larvitar's belly. He contorted his face with agony until... BOOOOOM! ...all hell broke loose... "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?" "OH MY GOD!" "WHAT IS THAT SMELL!" "HOLY CRAP!!!" "AUGH MY EYES! "I CAN'T SEE!!!" "LARVITAAAAR!!!!" ((OOC: AHAHAHAHAHA good boy Larvitar))

"......... WTF...." Tai sighed under his breath the next morning. Having all taken their showers, then sleeping, they were ready to go.
"Larvitar... what a strange pokemon..." Lina said.
"I can't take it anymore. Everyone out!" Tai said as he threw his pokeballs out. Treecko, Buneary, and Pichu all burst out happily. "I'm letting you guys stay outside of your pokeballs."
They all smiled and jumped around.
"Anyhow... we need to head-" Marcus said getting interrupted.
Two characters, wearing all black, one female and one male, tried to steal Tai's pokemon. They flung a net at the three pokemon, but missed.
"God Damn it we missed!" The man said.
"Leo, you dumbass! Let me aim this time!"
Tai put his pokemon back into the pokeballs. Now he realized why he needed to keep them into their pokeballs.
"Now he put them away, Amanda!" the one named Leo exclaimed.
"Team Snaggem will not be defeated this easily!"
((OOC: I know Team Snaggem is from Pokemon Colloseum, but i really think they should be involved here too. They aren't used enough, and they are a pretty good team.))
"Team... Snaggem...? I've heard of you guys before... Aren't you the team that created the Pokemon Stealing Glove thingy or whatever?" Marcus said.
"Yes, our team did. But we lost it to some punk who stole it and ran off." Leo shouted.
"And now we are here to steal more pokemon! Give us the pokemon or we will take you back to head quarters and have fun torturing you!" Amanda said.
"Try us!" Aidan said aloud.
"They are after my pokemon. Let me take care of them." Tai said in a serious tone. He then threw out Treecko and Buneary. "Treecko, Buneary, use swift and bullet seed to keep them from coming closer!" They shot their moves at Leo and Amanda, but they threw out two pokeballs. Out of them, came a Taillow (red and blue bird pokemon) and a Shinx (black and blue electric lion pokemon).
"We have the advantage!" Amanda shouted, "My Taillow will wing attack your Treecko!"
"Treecko, razor leaf the Shinx!" Tai shouted, "Buneary, swift on Taillow!"
Both hits were very powerful, and sent Shinx and Taillow flying back to Leo and Amanda. Tai and the gang then ran from Team Snaggem.
"Glad we got away from them... Team Snaggem is not someone to deal with." Scott said relieved.

"Wait," Aidan said aloud so that the retreating team snaggem could hear. "Could you do that again? I blinked and i missed it."
The group burst into uproarious laughter and walked away. Aidan snagged the pokedex from Tai.
"Hey," Tai whined.
"I just wanna see where we're going is all," Aidan said.
Tai pouted and then perked up.
((Lightbulb above head/sneaky grin))
He reached up to Aidan's head and began to pull his hair.
"OW OW OW! Ok you win, here!" Aidan said shoving the pokedex back into Tai's hands. Tai smiled at his small victory and looked through the pokedex's map while Aidan fixed his hair. He moved the map until he found a spot he liked labled: Cyan Village. He slamed shut his pokedex and pointed off into the distance.
"I GOT IT!" he exclaimed.
"Oh no," Marcus said dryly.
"We're goin' to Cyan Village!" Tai exclaimed.
Aidan mocked him from behind pointing off into the distance and making the same face Tai had when he found the map location. The other's giggled as Tai marched off proudly in the lead again.
"Man, what and fool," a person in the croud yelled at Tai.
Aidan stopped walking. He suddenly jumped back at the man grabbing him by the shirt and slamming him against a building wall. He glared at him through firey eyes as he held him up in the air.
"If you value your life you will take that back," Aidan said grimly.
"But - he just -," the man stammered.
"He and I have been together for a long time," Aidan said coldly. "I'll not ask again, take it back."
The man nodded and Aidan dropped him to his feet. The man hurried off and dissapeared behind a corner.
Marcus, Scott and Ellie watched Aidan straighten his shirt once more and flash a disarming smile toward them.
"So shall we go," he asked as if nothing had happened.
As he walked by to join Tai the others looked at each other and then continued along.
